What a horrible experience. Stopped in after an Indian Creek game on a Sunday afternoon. No one in the place but one other table, this should have been our sign that something is wrong with this place. $15.00 for Gnocchi. Added Alfredo sauce...FOR $5.00. REALLY??? Waited for salad that never came(it doesnt come with any of their meals). Asked for bread. Was screamed at by our waitress from across the dining room floor that "It doesnt come out until your meal. AND dont ask for any more because what you get is what you get and any more Im charging you." It was gross and stale. Which is sad because Steubenville has two of the BEST homemade Italian breads I have EVER had in my life. Another highlight was asking for a plate so my boyfriend and I could share our two meals with each other. We do this no problem anywhere we go, we again ordered two full meals, she told us no sharing. SO I explained to her we got two meals so we can in fact share our meal. She wouldnt give me an extra plate. She did bring me a tea cup saucer and informed me this was the only plate she could give(I had to go find her to even ask for one)me at that moment. That was the final straw. Couldnt wait to just get out of that place. Tried to speak to someone washing dishes an older woman but she wasnt a manager. No one in charge I guess. Sad. Waste of money, food wasnt good either esp for the price we paid.

Honestly I can say that this was one of the worst meals I have ever had. When I first arrived there with my friends we could tell that something wasnt right cause there were only several cars in the parking lot. Then when we went in to sit down at our table, I noticed right away how disgusting the place was. The place smelled like a Gorillas buttox and that may be an understatement. The waiter wasnt that nice and I could tell she was a smoker cause she kept coughing while we were ordering our food. Then when the food came out, I was thinking maybe I should give it a try since it doesnt look that bad, but clearly I made a horrendous mistake. The first bite I took I nearly threw up because the food, just like the smell of the place tasted like a gorrilas buttox. Then my one friend found, possibly a pubic hair, in his Alfredo. God knows what the cooks might have done to his food cause clearly they messed with it. All I have to say is if you are thinking about eating at Da peppinos please do not go, too pricey, food is garbage, and the place should honestly be closed. One star was too generous if I could it would be a negative.

Growing up in Wintersville, I had some very fond memories of Da Peppino -- their delicious, home-made spaghetti and sauces, juicy meatballs, and divine lasagna and other baked pastas were a staple for my family 10 years ago. No longer. Ive visited this place twice in the past 5 years, and it seems to have gone from bad to worse. Prices are absolutely unreasonable, portions have become much smaller. They now charge extra for salads and barely give any bread (good DiCarlos bread, though a day stale, hmm). Both times, our waitresses were rude and snobby... and worst of all, the sauce is now so watered down its nearly flavorless. Worth getting a to-go order, but only for old times sake. The only saving grace is that the food -- although worse than it used to be -- is still good.

was in last Saturday with my family. the waitress was very nice an seated us promptly. she got us our drinks and proceeded to ask us our order. that was an experience all it own. while giving her my order I look up from the menu an she was falling asleep , not once but several times during the ordering process. I had to ask the other waitress her name because she refused to give us her name. I asked to speak to a manger an she told me they would be in the next day. I will no longer come there as long as that one waitiress is there. she was so unprofessional an I had to answer to my children why she was falling asleep standing up. I learned from the other waitress angel that girls name was Courtney. she needs some help!!!!

With only 1 other customer besides us, this By far is the worst Italian food weve ever expierenced while eating out, sauce was watery, literally no taste, you would think being an Italian restaurant the basic menu items like spaghetti meatballs or rigatoni, should only take a few minutes to serve but we had to wait 20 minutes , the waiter was new, but not only forgot many things for the other customer, forgot our napkins and bread when asked. Its safe to say we will not be visiting this restaurant anytime soon..the music was horrible. this place desperately needs a visit from Robert Irvine from Restaurant Impossible...

The prices were a little bit high for what you got on the pasta side. The fish was not a bad deal. The quality of the food was better than expexted. But the services was.... interesting. Poor. Unenthused. And not well verse on the menu at all. If I could get the same bowl of gnocchi for 6 bucks, Id go back.

I loved this place! Havent been there for a number of years, but have to admit Im a lasagna snob. This is the best lasagna Ive ever had, and Ive had the best, including Arthur Avenue in the Bronx, 18th Avenue in Bensonhurst, Brooklyn and Mulberry Street in Little Italy. Simply perfect.

Great food but very pricey for extras eg. Meatballs, bread, etc.. It is pricey for the entrees as well. They try to get you to have all the extras. The food is really good. Once in a while, its nice to eat here but its too expensive to eat here a lot.

Excellent food! Love the baked pasta on the weekends!! Wish I lived closer so that I could go more often! Only dislike is that they are closed on my birthday every year for vacation.
