My husband and I have found a new favorite restaurant in the region with Spice Connexion opening in Martinsburg. We have traveled a good deal, enjoying Indian restaurants all over (including DCs renowned Rasika) and this place is up there with the best! Prices are very reasonable for the portions you receive. The inside of the restaurant itself is lovely with hand-painted India-inspired murals on the walls, a giant overview board of Indian spices, and high-quality tables & chairs. The staff is always friendly; we have both enjoyed eating-in & takeout. We always really appreciate the consideration they take with wrapping orders for take-out. Each container is individually wrapped to avoid spills & keep in heat - you dont see that kind of care often! You absolutely must try the Palak Chaat appetizer! They make this dish very light and not greasy with a mild yogurt sauce. The vegetable samosas are also a delicious appetizer. I am a vegetarian and usually order the Malai Kofta as a main dish - the tomato gravy and dumplings are fabulous! My husband has ordered the majority of the chicken dishes and his favorite is the Chicken Tikka Masala. Dont be afraid to order medium spicy - its not overwhelming.

Overall the food is excellent. Everything except the naan is gluten free. Which is always perfect. In reading the reviews and being a local, knowing the area is best when going to this restaurant. Everyone complained about the long wait yet seeing carry-outs come and go. People, you have to realize that the carry-outs are call ins, which means they have already been waiting the 20-30 mins it takes to make the food, just in the comfort of their own home. If you eat in, yes it is a longer wait, but the quality of the food makes up for the wait. The owner and head chef is wonderful, and his food is authentic. The customer service could stand to improve some with practice for eat-in customers, which is my only complaint. The 2 person waiting staff is not enough for the growing restaurant at the busy times.

Well, the food was very good and worth 5 stars, when we got it. We waited over an hour for our food, and my drink sat empty for 45 min. We were just getting ready to pay for our drinks and go somewhere else when we were told our food would be out shortly. There were 6 takeout orders that I counted most of which were walk ins, that all received their food well before we did. And other than that it was not busy, there were only a couple of other people there. When we got the food it was good but the service was 1 star. If you are going here, get takeout. To be fair, one of the other waiters was incredible and helped out when he found out our waitress had ignored us the whole time.

Did the lunch buffet and we loved it! They had paneer masala, lamb meatballs, butter chicken, kidney beans, a good variety and they even had chai tea on the buffet. Both waiters were professional and were super busy filling the buffet, bringing clean plates and helping tables. I thought both the chai tea and sweet tea were delicious. We were impressed with the food and service and we will gladly make the drive here rather than further east when we want good Indian food.

The food is good but the service not so much. Ive had to leave after being in the restaurant for 20 minutes and hadnt even ordered. Between the server disppearing into the back for 5 minutes at a time to only come back out to take a phone order. This repeated over and over again so i just left. Its better to either call in take out or do the buffet but ordering dinner in is slow and often not worth it. This happens even when its not busy inside.

Ive only ever been here for their lunch buffet, but it has been consistently excellent every time. The food is fresh, tasty, and well priced. I have been here maybe eight times and never had any problems. The restaurant is clean, and well decorated. The staff is friendly and helpful. There seem to be lots of regulars, I almost always see a staff member chatting up a customer like they have a strong rapport. Id recommend this place for anyone.

This place is unforgettable when it comes to the food. The "chef" if friendly and is the "real deal!" I tell all my friends about this place and I eat there at least (2) twice a week. All the food is tasty and welcoming. And the lunch buffet is the way to go. Dinner is also great! However, you get more bang for your buck at lunch. And ask about the Tiger on the wall. I assure you its a great story about the "chef" and his tiger!

I Order takeout maybe once or twice every two weeks I have never had a problem with the staff or food always amazing. The Paneer is soft and delicious and always cooked wonderfully. I have sat down quite a few times since moving to Martinsburg and never been ignored or waited as long as some other reviewers. the staff has always been friendly and the portions have always been grand. Definitely my first choice in Martinsburg.

Feel really lucky to have access to such great Indian food right here in Martinsburg. I have eaten in and gotten take-out multiple times since they opened. Ive never had a bad experience except one time they forgot my naan and I didnt notice until I got home. Otherwise, excellent food. The dine-in experience has also always been good. Recommend the samosas with chutney, naan, raita, and chicken biryani.

My wife and daughter wanted me to try Spice Connexion because they love it so much. So I went with them recently for a family dinner and wow! were they right. If you like Indian spices and AUTHENTIC Indian cuisine, this is the place. Lamb kebab is to die. Just go. You wont be sorry. Oh, and did I mention the prices are very reasonable? And the portions are VERY generous.

This place is amazing! We have been looking for an Indian restaurant since we moved into the area and I cant believe we found one this good close to home. We had the butter chicken, tikka masala, the house specialty naan and the house specialty appetizer and everything was perfect. We highly recommend it and will be back soon.

Fantastic food! Best Indian food that I have ever eaten. We placed a take-out order for Butter Chicken, Chicken Curry, and Lamb Kurma. The meat was tender and not fatty. The sauce was outstanding. We adored the Naan bread and plan to order extra Naan next time. We loved dipping the bread in the sauce. Highly addictive!

Bad service. I waited 15 minutes for service. 2 people came in behind me and got waited on immediately while I was at the door waiting. The waitperson walked past me twice to help the other people . And no, we did not enter at the same time. The 2 people came in 15 minutes after me. This happened on 8/23/2017.

This is by far the closest I have ever felt to authentic Indian food. The food here is fresh and has subtle flavours in the right combination. I would recomend the lamb korma and haleem for anyone wants to try something different. As far as the standards go the Chicken Tikka Masala is as good as it gets.
