From the moment we walked in we had very friendly service. The young man who greeted us and took us to our table smiled nicely and seemed happy to see us. The young lady who served us during our meal was very friendly and smiley too. It is so nice to dine somewhere with the people acting like they appreciate your business. There was wonderful traditional Mexican music playing. The atmosphere, the decor, everything was attractive and clean looking. The food was very good! We both ate too much and enjoyed every bite. We would recommend this to anyone who wants a good Mexican meal with great people and very pleasant surroundings!

Ordered 1 chicken and 1 beef taco, soft shell a la carte. Food came, and it had some shredded lettuce, some white shredded cheese, and meat. The tortillas were flour tortilla, not corn, and the meat had 0 seasoning. Shredded boiled chicken and Im not sure how the beef had no seasoning or flavor. If you sit at home and dig through your refrigerator, you could make a better tasting soft taco.

The food is delicious at El Jaripeo but we have stopped going because of the service. The last time we went it took over an hour before we were served and 2 of our kids have a dairy allergy, which we always tell the server before we order their food, but they always put cheese on their food. The last time we told the server no cheese and she put cheese on their french fries.

Ordered the taco salad the shell tasted like SOAP!! This restaurant is right down the street from me so I eat here often being that Im a regular and the waitress took the plate after having a couple spoonfuls of the inside (which was really good) I thought theyd take more than 1.00 off the price of the salad but they didnt so today was the last time Ill eat at El Jaripeo.

My husband and I eat at this restaurant once a week, and we love it. The employees are all so very nice and the food is great. Sometimes, we may have to wait a minute or two for a table - but it is never a long wait. They have the best Margaritas at a good price. Today is Valentines Day and we will celebrate tonight with a good dinner and a Margarita.

The food was really good and tasted fresh. The portions were generous and wasnt mostly rice like Ive experienced at other Mexican restaurants. The only reason that I didnt give it 5 stars is while our server was quick with our food, she seemed annoyed that it was our first time there and we needed extra time with the menu.

Have been to El Jaripeo four or five times now, a couple times by myself, twice with colleagues and once with family. Never been disappointed. Good food. Quick service. Excellent ice cold Dos Equis Amber on tap (careful... the large mug is really HUGE). Nice place to eat. Good food. Affordable. Good service.

I dont know why you would go to any other Mexican restaurant in town. The worst experience Ive had here was one time when the chips were slightly stale, and thats not even important. Great service, great food (especially for the price), and greatly enjoyable atmosphere.

Ive eaten here a number of times and sometimes the food and service are excellent. On other occasions, the waitperson looks perplexed when presented with english and subseuquently, the order will be wrong or missing ingredients. Hit or miss.
