This restaurant is the most amazing place at which Ive ever dined. The service is amazing; in my experiences, truly perfect. The dinner rolls are amazingly delicious, the soup is unique and outstanding, and the sauce is pleasant -- almost comforting. The eggplant is some of the most flavorful Ive ever had, and the veal is so consistently tender that it can always be cut with a fork alone. The flavor is perfect. As for the pizza, its easily some of the best pizza I have ever had. Everything is perfect. Even the atmosphere of the restaurant is nice. The prices may seem a bit high at first, but for the amount of food given, the quality of the food, and the excellent service, it is well worth it. If youre in the Martinsburg area, this is the place to eat.

Family owned and operated by folks who really care about their customers. I travel often for work and pleasure and this is a favorite. Not a gourmet, Manhattan waiting list, kind of place but a very down to earth with good, occasionally great dishes at very reasonable prices. Nice wait staff that typically comes from a near by WV college to make ends meet. If youre unhappy or dissatisfied about something just ask for Carlos, the owner. I do find it hard to believe that some local folks arent as impressed as I am but the same folks are probably giving Ruby Tuesdays five stars. Maybe Chik Filet?? At least four stars cause of the fancy way they cut their fries?? Get a grip!!

Called in a take out order from a menu on this site. Price was 19.00 for two meals and when I went And picked the order up, it was 26.00 for the two meals. On top of that the lasagna was cooked and burned to the metal pan, it was cold and meager in proportion. The spaghetti was very cold (only live 5 minutes away), as were the meatballs. The bread was cold and hard and somewhat burned. There was no dressing included for the Caesar salad.The excuse at the place for the price was they had to raise it to keep the ingredients high quality. A real joke! I havent been there for a couple years and now I will never go back. What a disappointment!

I was traveling through Martinsburg and looking for a meal near my hotel. The service and food were outstanding. I just had spagetti with meat sauce, and was very impressed. Very flavorful with a lot of Italian Sausage in the sauce, which I absolutely loved. To top it off I left some room for the tiramisu, and all I can say is WOW. Fantastic. Probably the best Ive ever had, and Ive traveled to Italy a few times. Hotel guests currently get 10% off, and the owner gave me the discount even though I didnt know about. Got to love that! Better than any Italian restaurant Ive found in Charlotte, NC.

Awesome. Absolutely the best Italian food around. Loved it. The veal and the chicken was cooked perfectly. The pasta was fresh and cooked to perfection. Iced tea was sooo fresh, unlike many restaurants. You get what you pay for, as it was a little pricey for the area, but worth every penny. They may be the reason we stop staying in Charles Town, and come back to Martinsburg. Owner greeting us when we left. One of the best restaurants I ever ate at.

This was my second time visiting La tratorria. We are always greeted with pleasant smiles and the food is outstanding. I am from Northern Virginia and I can definitely say I found the Italian restaurant for me here in West Virginia. I highly recommend this restaraunt of you are searching for authentic, Italian Cuisine. Dont allow the simplicity of the environment to deter you away from a truly great experience.

Love La Trattoria! From the food to the atmosphere, you cant help but love this place! My family and I enjoy eating here and have never had a bad experience. Everything on the menu is amazing! The only thing better than the food are the people who own it and work here. They truly make you feel welcome from the moment you walk in! If I could give La Trattoria more than 5 stars I would, its that good!!!

We live in Winchester, Va where there are several places to get italian food but they do not compare to La Trattoria (approx 30mins away in Martinsburg, VA). Dont be fooled by the modest exterior. The food is delicious and the service is wonderful. It is family owned so they will basically accommodate to any request. We LOVED it!

The best family owned restaurant in Martinsburg. If your from out of town or new to the area this is the place to eat. All the food is to die for and the bread is awesome. The family is so nice and make you feel like your at home. The owner always comes around and visits with us. We love the family and restaurant.

Tonight I took my family to La Trattoria. And all I can say is..... Its a hidden gem in Martisnburg. We have lived here for 10 yrs and never ate there in the past. Now we wish we have. Our waiter was excellent. He offered us both another salad just because he forgot to offer feta cheese. We will be back

Dont let the location turn you away...this is by far some of the greatest Italian food you will find anywhere within driving distance. Homade sauces pasta cooked to perfection and the staff treats you to the type welcome and service you expect from an Italian family run business

Excellent food and excellent service. Young man (my server) made a few recommendations which all were excellent choices. You could tell he had pride working there with their high quality of food. When travelling I try to support local businesses. This one did not disappoint.

I went to this restaurant based on the reviews made by others. I loved it! I agree that the appearance isnt top notch, but the food certainly was good. Friendly staff as well. I was there on business, and if I get sent back I will most definitely go there again.
