A stay of two halves, the restaurant was a positive experience; the hotel less so. The Glen Iris Inn is in the Letchworth State Park, which is very nice. The grounds of the Inn are very nicely kept and picturesque. When we ate at the restaurant staff were friendly and knowledgeable and the food was very nice. The decor seemed a little bland, and considering the locale it was a shame that the blinds were down, but overall a very pleasant meal. Note that we visited in summer and there was plenty of space in the restaurant; by all accounts it is very busy in Autumn, so book. 4/5 stars Our stay at the hotel was less positive. On the positive side, the room was clean and air conditioned. Tea and coffee is available in the morning, although not in the room (if you like tea as you might drink it in the UK bring your own tea bags). We have stayed in several hotels in different areas on this visit to the States and our room at the Glen Iris Inn was by far the smallest of them all - comically small. My wife and I are literally climbing over each other to do such things as go to the bathroom. The decor again is dated. I dont think all the rooms are like this, but I can only review based on my experience. To finish, the staff have generally treated with us with indifference, not rude, but a little condescending and unhelpful. The Allegiance Bed and Breakfast is probably a better bet, and is also close to Letchworth State Park. 3/5

We stayed at the Pinewood Lodge. The location was fantastic. We were charged an extra $10 for a 3rd person, which was our 7 month old daughter. I was told this was for extra towels, linens, a cot, etc. I wouldnt have minded if there was a crib available, but there was not, and I assure you that our 7 month old did not use any of the things that the lady used to justify the extra $10. The smell in the room was horrible. The carpet felt wet and the smell seemed to get worse when the AC was running. The door had huge gaps around the frame. Ive stayed at nicer cheap motels for 1/4 the cost. If I were to take this trip again, Id stay outside the park.

Stayed at the Pinewood Lodge, which was convenient and perfectly adequate. Staff at the front desk were friendly courteous. We had made reservations at the Inn for dinner. The landscaping is lovely and the building and the scenic view cant be beat. I really dont like writing negative reviews but I have to say that our service at dinner was pretty bad. Possibly because we were a younger couple splitting a few dishes and the dining room seemed to be full of wealthy older people? Small dishes were small and food was so-so but our opinion was probably influence by the lackluster service and the fact that they seemed to want to be rid of us ASAP.

This was a cute little place to stay the weekend. It is located in Letchworth Park, which is absolutely beautiful. Be prepared to lose cell phone service and wifi for the duration of your stay, and definitely be wary of the GPS directions getting you there. The restaurant was great and the day staff were very helpful. We stayed in a small room that did not have a view, but that was okay for us (although we could have done without the loud AC). However, the larger rooms are very spacious and some have incredible views of the falls, which are located right outside. Would definitely recommend this to anyone looking to get away for the weekend.

The wait staff was very nice and accommodating. I was able to get seated immediately when I walked in. Plenty of seating is available also with some nice views of Letchworth State Park. The clam chowder is really really good. Its been 10 years since Ive had good clam chowder like this. So make sure you order a bowl of the clam chowder while you can get it. I already chicken quesadilla which had plenty of chicken and also came whats some sides of salsa and sour cream. Overall this was a great visit and a nice spot to have a nice bite to eat while visiting the state park. It is open year-round.

Beautiful place, excellent view, but DONT TRUST YOUR GPS! Not even if its the GPS in your Android phone. I photographed a wedding here, and my TomTom GPS took me somewhere 7-8 miles from the Inn, and the Android GPS took me somewhere 2 miles from the Inn. Plug in the park entrance address and just follow the road-side signs when you start seeing them. Other than that, the food was fantastic and the service was fast. Staff was friendly and didnt mind refilling my water bottle with icy, filtered water throughout the day. Maybe Ill go back one day to be a paying customer.

4 of us stopped for lunch and although it was crowded, got seated right away. 2 of us had "The Angel In Heaven" angle pasta dish, one the Salmon, and one the pot roast. They were all excellent. One had the cheesecake with caramel and chocolate (really great) and 2 had bread pudding (just ok). We had the French Onion Soup. Not the best Ive had, but certainly right up there as one of the best. Great experience while we toured the park for the beautiful scenery with the leaves changing.

This place is right in the middle of the park. It is within walking distance to the upper and middle falls. The hotel is a bit pricey for the rooms, but worth it. There is a restaurant on site with decent food for everyone that is not vegan, or even those with dairy sensitivities. But, you can find work arounds for most of the foods. The inn is only open from March until the end of October and rooms book up quickly so you must make your reservations months in advance.

We stopped by the Inn for breakfast while checking out the park in the area. It is a beautiful place, well-kept, and staff was helpful and informative. As we were hiking and came from camp, we were not as well dressed as those staying there, but we were well received. Also, I happened to leave my wallet there and they turned it over immediately to park police who brought it to me once we contacted the restaurant.

We stopped in to have drinks and food. The inn itself appears lovely and I am currently working out dates and times for a stay. Our meals were delicious and the specialty cocktail I ordered was delightful. Everyone is very friendly and welcoming,. My husband and I were very pleased. Affordable and pleasurable.

Beautiful location, our server on the veranda (Linda) and at the table (Patrick) were both very pleasant but I felt like the hostess was a little rude. Our food was delicious, my 10 year cousin said it was the best restaurant mac and cheese hes ever tried. Accommodated our large party very well

We honestly just walked by the Glen Iris Inn on a lovely walk through Letchworth. While we were there, we watched as new furniture was being brought in. Looked like new mattresses and couches. The inside of the inn is beautiful, with old charm. The outside sits right above the falls.
