We came in (family of 4) last Thursday evening. It wasnt very busy and our waitress had maybe two other tables. We ordered our drinks and I ordered food for the kids (pancakes) while we decided what to order. I asked specifically if we could order the kids food first since they tend to get restless the hungrier they get and I already knew what they wanted. Some time passed and she took our order. Husband got pancakes, eggs and sausage and I ordered the sampler with baked sweet potato and broccoli. Most of what we ordered were quick items (with the exception of the sausage) but we waited about 30 minutes for our food. Waitress never returned to check on us and didnt even deliver the meal when it did come out. Everything came out together despite ordering the kids food 10 minutes before ours, and everything on my plate was cold except the potatoe. The meatloaf was soggy and the ham was a hockey puck from sitting in the window. No one came back to ask how everything was, and it wasnt until my son knocked over his water that we had any attention to our table. My husband ordered the cake/ice cream dessert and 20 minutes went by without any indication it was coming. We got our check way before the dessert hit the table. I ended up taking my son to the car and my husband, who is far more patient than I, waited for the dessert. He finally asked for it to go and they were rushing out to give it to him as he was leaving. There was no manager on the floor, and no interest in quality food or service. It was hugely disappointing.

Went there for breakfast with my pregnant wife. Food took over an hour to get to us, and when it did, it was the wrong order. Told watress that she brought us the wrong order, she rolled her eyes and took it away. Finally recieved our food, however, once again, the order was wrong. By the time we got our correct order, half of our food was cold. By the end of our meal, our 7 year old was sharing a drink with my wife because our daughter ran out of her drink, and our waitress disappeared. Went to the management to complain, and he only compenstated half the meal ( I guess that meant half our meal was satisfactory?). I have worked in the food service industry before, however, this is the first time in my life I didnt leave a tip. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place!

Love this chain. Hate the one in Martinsburg. My In laws came to visit. I said lets go here. Father in law said any where else? I insisted he would enjoy it. Not only were the portions abnormally smaller than usual. The service was lacking. We were enjoying our conversation as the fat manager had to make his way to interrupt. Just to let us know that we stayed 5 minutes after are food was eaten and it was time to go. Rushed us out the door. If you are looking to sit down and eat with a little higher expectations then Mcdonalds you will be happy. If you are looking for a sit down meal with your family who drive over 2 hours to see you. Do not waste your time with this badly ran restaurant. TAKE WARNING

After several tries, Im hanging up my cleats with Cracker Barrel. I know lots of folks love this place, but Im just not one of them. On the plus side our waitress was great, fast and had a big smile. However, Im not a fan of the food. I found the biscuits to be artificial tasting. I know folks love em, but Ive had better. The sausage is spiced with something I just do not care for. Again a matter of taste. Finally, Im sorry but what is the sawmill gravy? Its nearly a solid and looks like the paste we had in kindergarten. Sorry to you fans, but after 4-5 chances, Im done.

After coming here at keast twice a month, Im not sure i will return. I wanted to substitute 2 egg whites for grits and I was told that can not be done we would habe to pay for the additional eggs. On the menu it shows the grits are 2$ and the 2 egg whites are the same cost. Why would I not be able to substitute items that are the same cost! Then the manager come and says she can do it this time...too late you should have did it in the first place. I will be sure to tell all I know about how this place wants money over customers.

The Best breakfast around!!! However, when my wife and I have gone there during the busy breakfast time (before 11am), service is fast and food is great. But, after going several times during the not-so-busy time of the day such as Sunday around 3pm, the service is very slow and the food comes out cold. One server went to find out for us who was suppose to be our server. I heard the line too many times. Go figure! After waiting another 15 minutes we just got up and left. Bob Evans is only down the street on Foxcroft Avenue.

Nothing special, just a quick bite on a long drive (NJ to TN). They ran out of the lunch special I ordered, no problem, I select something else. A menu was dropped in front of me as the server walked away. Waitress was in a hurry to get rid of us! I hadnt even finished half of my meal and she asked did we want dessert! Said Id like to finish then decide. She dropped off the check and never came back! I would have liked another iced tea, and dessert! Somewhere else on my ride will get my money. I wont stop here again!

Just simply horrible. 1st she messes up two drinks. Then messes up my sandwich instead of chicken she wrote bacon mlt. Then for just a plain omelette with cheese she put a omelette with tons of stuff without it all so that costed way more. Usually all cracker barrels are amazing and staff are great. But here food is great but waiters are absolutely bad. And we had to wait 20 minutes for her to come back. I would of put 0 stars but Google doesnt have that

The food was mediocre and the service wasnt much better. Its been a few years since Ive been there, and its about to be a few more before I return. The sweet tea was unsweetened and I was told they "have" to do that. They replaced it with a lemonade which was also bitter. I got a grilled chicken sandwich with bacon, both meats were burnt and mostly flavorless. The broccoli was steamed and had zero flavor; no butter, no salt and pepper, nothing.

Atmosphere is pleasant, but the "food quality" is poor. The 10 oz. Rib-eye was fatty and grissley. The 1/2 pound burger was seared/charred to its death, and ended up on my plate (I buried it). I am a food aficionado, I like good food but this was lacking. Sorry, 1 star, is the best I could do - thats because the server was a hard worker, and deserved a good tip and, a star. Hard to get good tips when the food is not good****
