We have been to this tap house a handful of times now and its never been this bad. This time we brought friends. Needless to say our friends enjoyed the food and beer once it all arrived but simply hated the service. Livia was our server. She does not communicate well with customers and left us waiting to order anything for about 20 minutes. We understood that it was busy and everyone seemed to be in the "weeds" but a little common courtesy goes a long way. I had to ask our server for drinks at the bar and literally wait until I saw her to request refills. We noticed that there was tension between the owners that made this experience the worst thus far. While we sat and enjoyed our company, we were very surprised when one of the owners came by and automatically grabbed a basket of fries we were still working on. When I informed him of this, he decided to toss the basket back on the table as if I had inconvenienced him. It is not the customers fault that your business is either not running smoothly nor is it the customers fault you and your wife are in bad moods. The service was terrible and we were afraid to order dessert because of the wait time. Needless to say, the tip was directly a result of her poor service. We will not be returning to Pavemint any time soon in hopes that the service and attitudes improve. UPDATE: I never mentioned working for you for two weeks. In fact, I was never "let go" because I was never employed by you. So please, if youre going to try to discredit my review based on that, you might want to try again. As you can see, I stated nothing of the sort above, I simply judged you alls performance as a customer. Throwing that information into this simply proves my point as to how unprofessional you all really are. Just because you dont like my review doesnt mean you get to try to defame me. If that were my reason, I would have done that months ago. So, please, get your facts straight and focus on making your restaurant better instead of trying to seek revenge on people on these reviews. Best of luck.

FOOD: Butterfly crackers, spoiled apple shreds, (brown)pickled beans, a small portion of meat (which we had to inquire as to what it was), unnevenly cut, mystery cheeses, and three "pickles" which are cucumber slices drenched in vinegar will cost you $18 at this god foresaken, wannabe foodie destination. Not only is the platter lacking in flavor and probably violating a litany of health codes, a five-year old could make a more inspiring dish. The entire plate was cold too, who knows who long it was sitting in a fridge until it reached our table. DRINK: We each had a few different pints, all the beer is FLAT. We only stayed there long enough just so we could watch a game on TV. SERVICE: The worst part. The manager/owner/whoever came over to make sure our waitress checked our in-state IDs correctly after ordering a beer. Very unprofessional. Nobody could describe even one beer to us on their draft list. What high school did you hire from? And all but one of the female servers were on their phone every moment they could get a chance, probably texting each other about what a joke this place is. OVERALL: Didnt even bother telling the server/manager how terrible the whole experience was because we didnt care, never coming back here ever. Skip this place (and possibly food poisoning). Buy the butterfly crackers on sale at Martins.

If I could give this place more than five stars I would. We arrived in town prior to beginning our trip down the Skyline Drive and wanted to find some place to eat that was NOT a chain restaurant. Found this place online and decided to check it out. Almost drove right past it because it doesnt look like a restaurant. You can tell as soon as you pull up that it was a gas station in a former life. That alone gives the place a really unique atmosphere. We were served immediately and opted for outdoor seating. Wait staff was incredibly friendly and couldnt do enough for us. The food was outstanding. Kids had crab cakes and I had a reuben. The selection of entrees and appetizers on the menu made it tough to choose because everything sounded excellent. Oh, and they have at least 30 different beers on tap and the selection is a beer connoisseurs wet dream. Even the dessert was great. A unique variety of home made ice cream flavors. Dont dress up to come here. Flip flops, shorts, T-shirt and a ball cap are perfectly appropriate as are jeans, work boots and a leather vest. The music on the speakers ranged from Metallica to Hank Williams, Jr. and they was a football game on the flat screen. Cant say enough good things about this place. Its some place youd expect to see on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. Love it

The beer selection is fantastic and the food looked quite appetizing, but me and my group of 5 men were forced to leave on principle after getting extremely rudely addressed by the owner/manager because one of us had just bought his own fresh lunch before we found Tap House and wanted to go to it. It would have been awkward for him to eat alone outside of the restaurant because we were all on a road trip together. We had already spent over $70 on beer and were about to spend well over $100 on food when the manager confronted us and told us he had to throw it away or leave. We promptly paid for our beer and left. I get that its common courtesy not to bring in outside food, but why be so rude to paying customers if their situation didnt reasonably allow them not to bring in an extremely small amount of outside food? Stupid.

We really enjoyed the food here and had plenty, enough to enjoy taking some home for lunch the next day. Service was great, and the manager was kind enough to move the space heater closer to our table so I didnt freeze to death while enjoying my food. The reason I only gave it a 4 instead of a 5 was because of the temperature. It is a warehouse type structure with little to no insulation and we happened to visit on a very cold winter evening. I was almost ready to leave before getting served due to the cold. Not sure if the manager could have accommodated the heater request if it had been busier.

We were looking for a local spot to fill our bellies on the road. Found it on Google and decided to give it a whirl...4 adults, 6 kids! The restaurant is in an old gas station/service station. Creative use of the space. The management was very accommodating to our large group. Food took a bit long, but was overall very good. The owner really went out of his way to engage the kids while we were waiting and as we were finishing up our meal. Great beer selection! Lots of character....definitely prefer it over a big chain restaurant! Would go back if we are back in the area.

Awesome beer and drink selections, sandwiches that are so good and so big, you cant eat the whole thing. Wait staff that rocks, a chef that is not only good at his craft, but easy to talk to and knowledgeable of the area. So what are you waiting for, get on over there next weekend and enjoy and evening of friendly conversation and meet some new people and enjoy the drink and food.
