Friday me and my cousins went here for a great time. I have never been to this restaurant I was really excited to go also my cousins told me that the place was excellent with pizza and burgers and buckets! So we got seated right away which was perfect window view of everything it was different with "The Rock" theme. However our server he was a bit jumpy and over edge because he was probably slammed, new or tired. We waited a good 20 mins for our drinks, another 20 mins for us to order our meal and then 1 hour and 30 mins for our food. So finally when we have our food brought to us, I was a little upset but I let it go. Normally when I come to a table there will already be napkins and silverware which we did not have when seated. So I havent took a bite out of my burger yet because I wanted ranch and silverware so as Im waiting for him to come back to our tables with ranch I look over to the side and my little cousin is eating raw I repeat RAW burger!! I told her stop eating that and I opened my burger (I will post a picture after) PINK! I told the waiter well done for me and my little cousin. I opened the burger more to see if it was just that little piece NO the WHOLE INSIDE OF THE BURGER WAS NOT COOKED! No medium rare just RAW! Fresh from the cow raw! So I asked the waiter for a manager he brings out the kitchen manager and the kitchen manager is telling me that he deep fried it! I looked at him and said this! this looks deep fried?! And he said he will make me a new burger in 7-10 mins and I told him no Im not paying for any of this. He just turned and walked away! RUDE! And then hey bring me my receipt and behold they took only the burger off and didnt even pay for my bill or my cousins! I had to pay for it! Never ever ever going back!

Yesterday evening was my first time visiting The Rock, and will definitely be my last. The service was absolutely unacceptable. We sat for over 10 minutes before we were even greeted, then another 20 minutes before we were asked had we been helped. After ordering a piña colada that I would later find out was spoiled, we kept getting Im so sorry Ill be with you in a minute three different times. Normally I would get up and walk out of the restaurants with this type of customer service, however my family was here from out of town. The bartender herself admitted that there was something wrong with the piña colada mix and she may be another drink which I was grateful for. What made me disgusted was watching another bartender drop a Jell-O shot on the ground pick it up and stick it back in the ice and delivered it to someones table. After being confronted about it the bartender said well they do have caps on them. Very disappointing

Not a bad place to get some pizza. they have a pretty unique pizza menu and they all really sound pretty interesting. Out Pizza was really good. my wife and I shared the medium (12 inch) but honestly it was a bit too small. Luckily we split a dinner salad and with that it was an adequate amount of food. In hind sight I would have went with the larger size. If you are really hungry, size it up. the service here was great. Our server was professional, courteous, attentive and knew the menu. She was a bit spread thin though and had way too many tables to serve but she did an excellent job in managing it and we really did not have any long waits but anymore people and it definitely would have started to be a problem. Overall, Id come back for pizza but probably not much else, stick with the pies.

Used to be called Rock Pasta and the decor was top notch with real old time record covers on the brick walls. Since the name change it looks more plebeian, less edgy and the music has doubled in decibles. The food hasnt changed though. Its still the reason we try there before going to any other restaurant. If there is parking in front the other place is out. The crusts are crisp all the way to the middle and the taste is great. There is a wide array of ingredients to choose to put on top, or choose one of the regulars--dont be put off by the strange names. The Rock carries plenty of other Italian food as well. I keep meaning to try some and someday I will, but it has only been 20 years. Im not tired of the pizza yet!

One of my favorite restaurants! They are kid friendly and its a really relaxed environment, not to mention the food is always to die for (try the bang a gong!) so Today we went to dinner with our toddlers and our deep dish pizza was messed up in the oven somehow, so Mackenzie the manager told us what happened and offered us another deep dish or an upgraded large pizza on the house. She took the pizza off of our bill and only charged us for the kids meals and our appetizer due to our wait being so long. Our server Alissa was very attentive and helpful the entire time. I understand things happen and I am SO VERY thankful for the way in which they handled it. Will be returning with my family. (: Thank you ladies!

My friend had her birthday dinner there and even though they had a second dinning room, we were confined to one narrow end of the restaurant and it made getting up from the table and coming back rather annoying and uncomfortable. The service was not as good as I would have liked, we received our forks AFTER our food arrived and had to ask for them. Service was overall rather slow. My friend had called them before hand giving them plenty of time to set up for a large group but they were still not ready. The prices were pretty good and the pizza was great, it was very fresh. I just wished the service could have been better because the food was good... This review is strictly for the Downtown Tacoma location.

Just left trying to celebrate my husbands birthday, and as we were putting our Pizza in the tskeout box an EAR WIG that was ALIVE crawled out from under the pizza!!! When we showed the manager he demanded we pay and said and after showing him the bug still moving on the table the manager said, "well there are gonna be bugs....it happens." I am nine months pregnant and am appalled by this!! I grabbed my husband and six year old daughter and walked out.....I am calling the health department. This is so disgusting and gross and the way the staff acted shows they have no concern for the publics health. DO NOT GO EAT HERE!! Unless you dont mind having alive EARWIGS as an additional topping on your pizza....

the first twenty minutes I sat waiting for someone to come take a drink order. once I was noticed, it was smoother sailing. I mean, do they really have to clear the table a few feet away from me and not even acknowledge my presence? Im not trying to be mean, it was just a long time and I was hungry. Any way, I got a personal size 9" pizza and oh my god! I have to go back. The crust was perfect. There was a perfect amount of cheese, not too much, not too little. The ingredients tasted and looked incredibly fresh. I also got the micro brew sampler, and was not disappointed. There is a lot of care that has gone into this shop and it shows. Cant wait to have another pie and fill up the ole growler.
