We went on New Years Eve, around 5:10. A cute, fun place with exposed brick walls, rustic decor, and a couple of TVs with football playing. The place was slammed so it took about 20 minutes to get a table. The manager was apologetic and brought out a pizza for those of us who were waiting for a table, to snack on. I thought this was great customer service. My husband and I opted to eat at the bar, where they had a good selection of local beers and ciders on tap. Despite being, as I said before, slammed, the manager, servers, bartender, and cook (they have an open kitchen), were upbeat and friendly. The menu had a nice selection; I considered the chop salad or grilled veggie sandwich, but ultimately opted for a proscuitto and arugula pizza and a salad with arugula, pine nuts, parmesan, tomatoes and lemon vinaigrette. It came out, quickly and was very tasty. They have homemade ice cream/cookie sandwiches for dessert and we were too stuffed for that but will save room, next time. To top it all off, it was priced right! We will definitely return.

The food is always decent if not good. The most pressing issue is the establishment seems understaffed. We placed an order and received our salad, appetizers and pizza all at the same time. When we mentioned the response was "I am still running around getting it for you". I am not sure how that comment relates to the poor timing of the kitchen yet I saw that the person working the oven was also making the pizzas. There were. Only two wait staff. One up stairs and one down. I will not return to elemental pizza, not due to the food but due to the lack of over sight and poor staffing. A staff that is this rushed has the tendency to cut corners with cleanliness and proper food handling. Yes I am not going to blame the staff as they were actually quite nice yet rushed to a point of inefficient.

I got a cup with water and it wasnt even washed, the lipstick of the previous person was still on it. They were very slow, messed up the order, very excited and all around it just wasnt that good. Its the type of pizza I would imagine a rich snobby person would eat just because no one eats the weird pizza options. 10/10 would just go to Costco and get one of their pizzas. Only went here because I had never been before and I was really hungry after I went to the Tacoma art museum across the street. Place looked really nice on the inside, but their pizza just wasnt that good and it was too expensive. I went for a field trip and there were 20 of us and none of us were really all that impressed.

This place is so cute and has a great atmosphere, but was dissapointed by the service mostly, and secondly dissapointed by the pizza. The waiter seemed annoyed he had to serve our table, and we barely saw him. He unenthusiastically read back out order to us, and still forgot a pizza, also never offered or came by to refill our drinks. While we were eating, the table behind us dropped a glass of water that was all over the floor, and by the time we left, the mess was still there. I got the Margherita pizza, which the only redeemable factor was the crust, the was barely any basil and I was definitely not impressed by the sauce. Hoping the service is usually better than today was..

Location is great, people were friendly and the food was extremely tasty! They seem to use all locally sourced ingredients. Those locally sourced ingredients are used on some extremely tasty, single serving, pies. The average price of a pie is around $15 which seems fair for how good it was. They have around 7 local beers on tap priced around $5 and offer a sampler of four beers but the beers on tap are something that everyone that is local and likes craft beer would have had already. I went here on a groupon, but would I go back with out it??? YES I WOULD!

Tuta Bella is the king of wood fired pizza in the Puget Sound area, but Elemental is the best alternative for folks in Tacoma. Delicious, wood-fired authentic Italian pies, and a fun science-themed menu (it is formatted like their own periodic table of "elements"). I especially appreciate their unique practice of giving kids a small quarter section of raw pizza dough for them to shape in lieu of wasteful crayons and coloring pages--and they cook it for them, so the kids basically get to enjoy their own customs bread sticks!

The only reason I gave it two stars was because the staff was very nice and friendly and the place has a nice atmosphere. But the pizza was terrible. I ordered a Marguerite Pizza, it was covered with canned tomatoes, a little fresh basil and some cheese. But using a ton of canned tomatoes was just plain sinful!! My husband had a pepperoni pizza. Ok flavor but they were both under cooked; thin crust should be crisp not chewy. Very disappointed.

The pizza is good, but service is awful. The waitress didnt know what beer was available besides "porter, amber, pale," etc, we were never offered nor given water, our party was told wed be seated inside as soon as possible due to incoming rain by the host, but the waitress told us wed have to wait while they seated new arrivals, and she rarely came by the table to check if we need refills or how the meal was going.

My first visit here. Great location. Love the atmosphere. Plus, the staff were very friendly and you could tell they enjoy working there. I ordered the meat lovers pizza and it was incredible. Fantastic and fresh ingredients. I wasnt terribly hungry when I visited, so I didnt order any appetizers. But, the table next to me went all out and the food looked great. All in all, 7 or 8 out of 10.

Both times Ive eaten here have been during lunch on a weekday, and I sat in the bar area both times. I even had the same server. Both times the food was fast and fresh, and the service was excellent. Prices are average for fast casual, and the food is just different enough to make it worth your time and money to pass on the national chains.

Portions were great. Staff was very helpful and friendly. We brought our three kids and were a bit disappointed that they did not offer a childs sized pizza or childs sized spaghetti (one of our children is autistic and only eats certain foods). The brownie dessert is huge and worth the money! They also offer a military discount.

Excellent kids menu plus a piece of pizza dough to play with and then theyll bake it for them. My daughter had Mac n cheese. Good quality with grapes and steamed broccoli. I had the margarita pizza, thin crust and chewy edge, very yummy! Ill be back! All day happy hour on Sundays! Fantastic deal.

Terrible pizza. Ordered 2 of the Hawaiian to-go, the pizza looked like it had been cooked 2 days ago and then re-heated over and over. The restaurant looks really nice inside but the pizza is not worth it. Not too mention, way over priced.

Went through Tacoma for a night last week and just happened by this place. Absolutely amazing! I highly highly recommend the pepperoni with hot honey. Completely unique and I am not sure pepperoni pizza will ever taste so good again!
