YUP! It HAD to happen sooner or later. A are 5 stars was given by ME! I know, RIGHT? SO EXCITING! You may be asking "Whatever about this place couldhave made you give THEM a 5-star rating?" Well thats easy. An immediate sense of ease. Walking up to this place, you are confronted with one reality. This block, this place, these people are kinda hip and laid back. These people have all found a calling and are working the job of their dreams NOT just punching into a 9-5. Seriously, how many of us EVER find that? The block itself seems to somehow shine or stand out from the surrounding area. The people seem to be all regulars who live nearby and the space itself has been saved from the wrecking ball by people who saw potential where others did not. It is wide open and the wood and stone all seem to have a story to tell if you listen. The coffees are fine but for me, the craft beers are the starts of the show. I enjoyed an American Strong Ale called TAP OUT by Terminal Gravity Brewing with an A.B.V.of 9.8%. Not overly aromatic but has bite to it. The staff was welcomiong to a first-timer like me who was there to puttheir craft beer menu to tthe test moreso than their coffee. All in all, I will be back to this unique place that is not only tucked away on its on block but, somehow preserved in the history of Tacoma.

Classic "bohemian" coffee house. Local art, most of which is for sale, decorates the walls. Old tables and comfortable chairs contribute to a charming and homey atmosphere. When there are not performances going on, its generally pretty quiet, and many people go there to read, write, and work. Featuring regular live music (mostly jazz and folk), and occasionally other performances such as belly dancers. They have some of the best coffee around, but as they practice "slow coffee" to get it that way, expect a significant wait. They also feature a modest selection of beer and wine at reasonable prices, and a small menu of sandwiches and small bites that, while quite good, are nothing to get terribly excited about. In the age of chain coffee and fast everything, this kind of coffee shop is a dying breed. Local favorite, Highly recommended.

B# Sharp Coffee House has an incredible vibe~ Very chill~ Just went to a monthly (last Monday of the month) Creative Colloquy event. What a verbal treat, my palate has been enriched, my ears are aching with the loss of hearing no more for another month....The magnificent news is that B# Sharp Coffee House has events going on all the time! Check out their web site for their calendar.

So far nothing. 20 people came in for lunch with only one employee. There was another employee but she left immediately upon our arrival I asked her why she was leaving with a large number of customers arriving and she replied the one employee remaining could handle the work load. It was a disaster after that. Poor planning by the management of this business.

Update: times of operation have been updated, I went there today again. Staff was super chill and nice. Coffee tasted great and I like the low-key hipster vibe in this hole in the wall type of coffee shop. They also have a calendar of live music performances that take place starting at closing time. Will definitely check one of those nights out

Had a great time here listening to some phenomenal jazz! The atmosphere is wonderful. However, it took forever to get our drinks and we were told by other patrons not to even bother ordering something to eat because it was unlikely to get there before the set was finished

This is the best coffee shop in Tacoma. The space is awesome with a warehouse feel but very comfy and roomy. They serve Bluebeard Coffee. Sometimes they have events in the evening, but it is the best overall coffee shop experience in Tacoma.

A unique, off the beaten path, coffee shop with an eclectic, and antique atmosphere. If you enjoy a good, strong espresso, or iced Americano, this is the place for you! plus, they offer Great local art on display and for sale.

Worth a stop just to check out the unique space. A cool, old Tacoma building with lots of character in the shop and on the way to the bathrooms. Dim lighting made it difficult to read or do computer work. Service was slow.

Service takes forever. Often waiting at the empty counter for several minutes before someone comes to take order, and then drinks take 10+ minutes, even when theres no one else in line. Atmosphere is nice, though.

I really like this place, its got great vibes and good coffee, and they do live shows, which I look forward to checking out. However, sometimes coffee can take 10+ mins for a simple latte, which I didnt expect.

Wonderful vibe. The atmosphere and style is perfect for study or chill, creative juices flowing all over! Matthews service and attitude only increased my immediate love of this joint. I will return frequently.

Stopped by to grab a quick coffee before they closed and they said I could only order tea because they were closing in 15 minutes. Why is an 8pm closing time posted if you cant get coffee after 7:45?

Cool looking location, but the space gets particularly loud when a fair number of people converse at an average sound level. I found the coffee to be very overpriced for being just acceptable.

Vibe is amazing! We were in no rush, but it still took over a half an hour to get our coffee. He wasnt busy so we honestly had no idea why it took SO long! Coffee was no good at all -__-

Excellent coffee! Love the old coffee house feeling and the ability to sit and read without feeling rushed out. I have not been to a music night, but I would love to go one evening.

I came here 15 minutes before closing time and they said they could only serve me tea. What is a cofee shop that doesnt serve coffee? Why is there a closing time even posted?

B Sharp is a down to earth place for coffee and beer with live music whenever its needed. A beautiful spot to come for a date or to brush the grime of the daily grind off.

B Sharp Coffeehouse is now permanently clpsed. Last performance was on 7-29-2017. It was a nice farewell evening. The business now lives on as B Sharp Productions.
