Not the worst fried chicken in Seattle, but its pretty marginal. As an emergency pit stop to feed the kids if nothing else is available, it will do I guess. But, we certainly will not be making a point to seek it out. The seasoning was good, but the chicken had clearly been under the heat lamp too long on in both of our trips. I get it, OK. Its fast food. But, frankly KFC has these guys beat hands down. The chicken was dry and hot! Weird combination. Honestly, it reminded of the frozen banquet chicken boxes we used to get at 7-eleven and then take home and heat in the oven after college. On the plus side, however, the potato salad was actually really solid. Highly recommended. The other thing is this place is pretty darned far from "barbeque". There was no barbeque sauce to be found in the whole place. We went in the first time expecting some tasty ribs, or some brisket, or even just some real barbeque chicken. Not a chance. Just dry, oddly hot crispy chicken, regular or spicy. The restaurant was also dirty and the tables were jammed too close together, very uncomfortable. Sorry, I had high hopes after driving by so many times. Overall, a major disappointment. my recommendation. Stay away.

If you like Ezells then you should stop reading now: Pros: You get the sense the place is very cleaned and well maintained. The staff are friendly and ready to assist you in making your selection. The spicy chicken had a very nice hint and after taste of spice. Cons: A) The taste of the fried checked ins verbatim Ezells, Overcooked, and extremely bland. The bedding is very thin almost too thin, it lack in crunch and spices. Safeway has better fried chicken than this place. The fries had zero salt on them and tasted like they came out of a frozen bag, again bland and no flavor whatsoever. The mash and gravy was the most flavorful thing but still toward the bland side of things. The BBQ sauce was watery but flavorful. B) It took a moment to notice it but it looks like all the employees wear plain color shirts which says "...GOD IS GOOD..." on them. I dont care if people believe in it or not but I cant help but find it unprofessional and in distaste. Kind of like the bible message on In-N-Out products it just is unprofessional.

Finally tried this place and wish I hadnt! Restaurant was filthy with food all over the floor. The prices are too high for the food, the mashed potatoes were flavorless and reminded me of KFC. I heard a customer in front of me angrily yelling that she didnt want thighs because she doesnt like them and being told that was just too bad. I ordered a breast as part of my meal and found out why when I opened my package. They had given me 2 thighs instead of a breast. That would have been ok if I had at least been told! Then the fries I had were just disgusting, no flavor at all. The chicken was moist but had very little flavor. I will not be going back, EVER.

The chicken here is tasty, but safe. Theyre not going to blow your mind. They will nickel and dime you though, charging for extra sauces which hardly seems like the Christian thing to do. I only mention that because they wear their religion in their sleeve, thats for sure. The workers are always super sweaty which can be off putting. A good stop for fried chicken, just have to get past a few issues.

The real Ezells and the best chicken joint in Seattle! The last few times Ive had Ezells it wasnt as spot on as the chicken you get from Heaven Sent. Fried chicken is all about the details! The sides are pretty good, the mashed potatoes and gravy are probably the weakest. I know a lot of sit down restaurants have good fried chicken "dishes", but just like barbeque, Id rather order it from a counter.

Food is great! Service is horrible! Waited 15 minutes for 3 orders of chicken strips. Every one who came in after me walked out with their food. I just stood there. No apologies, no explanation!!! Nothing. I asked for extra sauce since I had to wait so long. She smiled and said no. That was the first smile. Nothing when I came on, nothing when I paid, nothing while I waited. Not even eye contact.

If I have to compare Heaven sent Fried Chicken, KFC and Jollibee, Jollibee is my favorite #1, KFC is #2. Heaven Sent Fried Chicken is the worst. I tried this because I watched youtube, and there was a video to introduce how good their food is. However, it is not like what they introduce. Spicy chicken is not spicy, not salty. Just deep fried chicken with no flavor. The meat is too dry.

Pretty okay. Does not live up to the Ezells reputation. I went to Garfield High School and my late morning classrooms were filled with the smell of Ezells Fried Chicken. I was disappointed by this place both times I went. Its okay food, I might eat there again someday, but Safeways chicken is as good, and KFCs is better.

The chicken was dry and no meat. Tastless. Very disapointed. Will never go back again. It was filthy was afraid to sit down, counters and chairs covered in dust? I think it was days old chicken under the heat lamp. Grocery store chicken anywhere is better than my 20.00, eight piece chicken. What happened to your food !!!

Ive been here a few times and while the food is good, service is terrible and prices just keep going up and portions are going down. Now I just got home with some of my food missing. Im done with this place. Ezells is way better and I think Ill be trying to go there instead now even if they are much farther away.

Chicken cooked to perfection, juicy meat with crispy crunchy breading. Meat could use a touch of salt. Baked beans were tender with a sweet and savory sauce. Pillowy soft roll ( I saw dough rising in the back so I can only assume they bake these in the restaurant.) A very good lunch.

Six months ago I would have given Heaven Sent 5 stars, but they revised the menu and eliminated my favorite dinner combination and made portions smaller. I wish theyd just raised prices instead of changing the menu. That said, the fried chicken is the best in the universe!
