If you think this is good Mediterranean, you havent been around much. Its fast-food quality at best. We were anticipating a great meal from the reviews, but the service was awful, no one waited on us unless we physically got their attention through the whole meal. It was like they threw the food on the table and their job was done. When we did compel them to help us, it was as rushed as possible before running back to the kitchen. The food was sub-par. The dolmas (they call them "grape leaves": first bad sign) were undercooked, the rice inside was practically hard and tasted undercooked. The lettuce in our salad tasted very strange, like cleaning chemicals, and the tzatziki sauce tasted very much like ranch dressing. Hear it from a lifelong conisseur of medi food, even the pita bread "naan" was a fail, it was kind of stale, as flat as board and not even heated properly- tastes like its full of preservatives and came out of a bulk package. I literally chuckled when I first picked a piece up at how obviously crappy it was. It is not warm, delicately crispy and soft "naan," not by a long shot. Its clearly prepackaged bulk pita bread. There was no life to this bread! I think it might remain undigested in my stomach for a few months. The baba ganoush and dahl soup were edible, but we didnt feel any enthusiasm over them, just relief that they were edible, mostly. I even asked about the tzatziki sauce, which is supposed to be yogurt based with dill and cucumber. The waiter told me both times I asked that it was the right sauce and swore there was no ranch in the ingredients. If it wasnt in there intentionally, ranch dressing must have spilled into the container because it tasted distinctly like ranch. We were too overwhelmed to ask for a pass on the check for this regrettable meal, and we doubted we could even hold the waitstaff attention for long enough to be heard, so we paid and left. They did give us a free baklava, I think to belatedly make up for the complained-about sauce, but attentive and patient customer service throughout the meal would have made us much more likely to return. If youre going to serve people bad food, at least ask them how it is tasting and offer to bring them something else straight away, not as a consolation afterthought to take home with them. My dining companion and I both give Cedars Broadway circa March 2016 a solid C minus.

Tried twice. First time fries served hardly even warm, burger tasteless, bun cold. Second time got veggie biryani, asked for 2 stars. If what I got was 2 stars then any higher was a death sentence Im sure. Too spicy to eat and since it was a to go order with no time (slooow service) to go back I just tossed in compost $10 out of the $12 I paid. Theyll never get anymore of my business.

The Indian is definitely worth a shot, takeout portions are massive, and relatively quick. If youre looking for one of the best butter chicken dishes, go to cedars. It is definitely an Indian restaurant with other dishes available, would recommend all of the Indian dishes over the Mediterranean. Overall, its quick, cheap, huge portions, and clean inside. Worth a try.

At first I was disappointed with the very steep price, but I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and taste of the food. I ordered the Cesars Plate, which came with a huge assortment of meat, seafood, and vegetables. I probably wont return, just because $18 is a lot of money for a single meal, but if you dont mind spending a bit then Id recommend coming here!

Unlike the Cedars in the UDistrict, this one is paper plates and grab and go. They also have a variety of things on the menu - from Indian to teriyaki, Mediterranean and burgers. The Indian food is as good as ever though, but best value on the menu is the delicious falafel sandwich.

I just ate one of the largest gyros of my life. It was fast, fresh, and only $6. Try beating that in First or Capitol Hill. Atmosphere was low-key but sanitary; NOTHING like the last review suggests. Will definitely return to try other dishes.

I used to go here for lunch all the time when I worked across the street. The food quality is consistent. My favorite was the lamb salad.

Tsokay. Presentation a little lacking, microwave heated food. They give you a free chai with the meal--that was a nice touch.

Love coming here for a delicious and reasonably priced meal. The fries are perfect and the falafel will change you.

Food is great, but staff isnt that friendly. Its a tiny space and most of the time all the tables are taken.
