It was my second time in Seattle and the first time at Mirch Masala. The place looks fine, when you enter. We began by ordering a mixed plate of starters, the starters looked kind of fresh, however the chicken and fish pakora lacked the presence of spices in the meat. The chicken Tandoori, looked really red and juicy, however on bitting into it was hard as leather, and unlike Chicken Tandori, least to mention that spices were not at all present, plus the chicken tandori was served with some Dal, which again was the weirdest combination I have ever experienced. For the main course we had ordered some Lamb Korma with garlic nan. The garlic nan was ok, but the Lamb Korma was not Lamb Korma. The lamb was not at all tender, it was quiet chewy and the gravy was thick, with no tracesof ginger, corriander, garlic, cloves which generally goes into cooking it. Although the place has a Indian Name, but the food is far from being remotely Indian. I would not be recommending this place to anybody, since it is a shame. Aikant

Only lacking ambiance, the food was very good, they have an extensive menu, both meat and vegetarian, I had the lamb korma and the sauce was just about mild, you can choose the level of spices 1-5, the lamb chunks were very tender and tasty, the rice bowl was kept full and most importantly the garlic naan was crisp, gleaming with just the right amount of oil and garlic. Afterward to cool the burn, the rice pudding was sweet and cold, Indian rice pudding is a sweet milk with rice floating in it, here they add pistachio shavings for crunch. My son had paneer masala moderately spiced and very much enjoyed it. The wait staff were attentive and pleasant. If you need ambiance walk further south, if you want good food, served promptly with a smile then this is the place to find it.

I never write reviews, but I felt compelled to share one here. Im very picky about Indian restaurants and they almost never live up to my expectations, but Mirch Masala really lived up to them overall. Saag dishes are always tricky, and finally a restaurant that uses quality spinach so it doesnt taste canned or drab. The dal was more than just an afterthought, it was well seasoned to be a tasty dish in its own right. Excellent butter chicken, vegetable pakoras that were worth eating (I usually find them almost inedible in Indian restaurants), fresh mint chutney. The cabbage potato dish was fine but unremarkable, the naan was naan. And very reasonably priced for lunch! I highly recommend this restaurant and cant wait to come back.

Absolutely LOVE THE PLACE! Amazing food, and would go there again and I recommend it to every person I know, who enjoys Indian food. One of the few places where they know how to create great Indian flavors. And the Naan was soft n flaky, and I kinda know why people love it so much. The gravies that I ordered were both experimental, one costal and one goan, and both of them were brilliant. They serve Rice with each entree, and no substitution, which kinda is bad, if you are an Indian, who likes to eat curry with your bread. But I am ready to let go of that, considering the food is so good here!

Mirch Masala is a good standard Indian restuarant with a well priced lunch buffet with fresh food. The ambiance is nothing special but for about $8 you can literally stuff yourself silly on their buffet or what I do often is get a lunch buffet takeout to go for $6 to bring back to the office. Their selection includes salads and fruit, rice pudding, 2-3 veggie dishes, 2-3 meat dishes, rice, and your choice of plain or garlic naan. I have had better naan but for the most part this is some of the better Indian food Ive had in Seattle.

Excellent Customer Service! I Ordered the Paneer Tikka off of uber eats which the app failed to include the correct picture of, therefore I received the incorrect order. When I called back to complain about the discrepancy the restaraunt was more than understanding and immediately sent over the correct order even though the error wasnt on their end but uber for not posting the correct picture. Food was awesome as well highly recommend!

Dont be fooled, this is great food. I go here everyday for their 11am-3pm buffet which is only $8.75 after tax(nan bread included) and they switch it up by the day. I dont know how long those cooks have been chefing it up for, but theyre masters of bringing out the flavor in every dish, trust me. If your ever in the area you should come give it a try and I bet youll end up putting this restaurant on your menu. Its Good Stuff!

One word "Pathetic" . They missed one item from the order . Mushroom Mutter is watery . Paneer Tikka (dry) is just red colour coated and roasted, vegetables are just RAW. They even dont have common sense to pack the food and mixed Tikka with Rice. i wonder how they are in business !!! Or may be because my delivery order was from UBER-eats , they dont bother much .

Lunch buffet for $8.95. Its a pretty good deal and the food is pretty good. Great variety - two chicken dishes, a curry (today it was goat), several veggie choices, and a nice salad bar. You get offered fresh bread, which you should take advantage of. Its very very fresh and delicious. Even though its a buffet, the food quality is surprisingly good.

This was probably the blandest and most overpriced Indian food Ive ever had. Plus when I called up for delivery he went through the order then told me they werent delivering even though I specifically asked that at the beginning of the conversation and he said yes. He was very rude as well. I wouldnt waste my time or money with this place again.

Amazing! From out of town, picked this place based on $$ & location. Im used to high level of culinary precision and (although I dont write reviews) I have to say LOVEd the food from here! I cant wait to come back! (I had the dal soup, aloo tikka, veg pakora & rice pudding. And perfectly cooked rice.) soooo good!

The food is fan.tas.tic. I feel like the prices are reasonable too, especially for the quantity of food you get. The service is kind of slow, however, and most of the servers talk so softly, its hard to understand them well (not an accent problem, just volume). Very minor annoyance for such good food though!

Without asking me, order taker gave me take-out when I wanted to dine in and enjoy sizzler. It was nothing but dried out thick chicken pieces without any flavor and some steamed veggies in a take out box. Very disappointing. No wonder I was the 2nd person in the restaurant for dinner.

We have only order from here once, the food was awesome I will order from them again for sure. The only thing that sucked was that they delivered after the 30-40 minute waiting time we got a call from the Lady saying that her driver had gone awol. Other then that, everything was yummy!

Always perfect. Usually order delivery but have dined in on numerous occasions. Never dissatisfied. In my opinion its the best bet for Indian food in Seattle, this coming from someone who is in the UK often where you find some of the best Indian food outside of India.
