This place is amazing. It is very rare to find a place that makes you feel so welcome. At first I felt very excluded because of the different culture but everyone including the other customers were welcoming and said hello. They have home made menus that are made of wood! My family was there for 3 hours and they had no problem with it at all. They had checkers which we played as well as with other customers. When the food took a minute to make they offered us a discount the next time we go. They serve utopian coffee I cannot wait to try! If you are looking for a spot to sit relax and socialize this is your place!

Cafe Avole is a wonderful addition to the Brighton neighborhood! Solomon and the staff there are incredibly knowledgeable about coffee and are very friendly. Im a huge fan of the traditional Ethiopian coffee fresh from a jebena which is exceptionally smooth as well as their freshly made food. Id highly recommend the steak gyro, house burger, and turkey panini. The free wifi and "feels like home" atmosphere definitely makes Cafe Avole a new go-to!

They understand that good coffee needs to be freshly roasted in house, and brewed right away. Excellent cup every time. The Avole omelette is amazing, the staff is friendly, and the service is as timely as it gets for a deliberately hand-crafted meal. If youre in a hurry or expect super fast service, call ahead and place your order, or come back when you have more time to enjoy it.

Can we talk about the traditional Ethiopian jebena coffee? So good, rich, and beautifully presented. Also loved the tibs (beef stir fry) served with warm french bread and a side salad. I love, love, love this place!!!

I judge coffee places by their Americanos. Best Ive ever had here, no cream, and no sugar. Art here is nice and theres diversity in the people that visit. Genuinely nice staff. Ill be back soon!

Great place for coffee and food. The owner, Solomon is incredibly friendly, and the food is excellent. I highly recommend the breakfast sandwich with egg, cheese and STEAK. Yum.
