By far, my favorite pastry shop on the Eastside! Selection is excellent, staff is friendly, and everything is made fresh... you can literally watch the baking and cake decorating going on through the back window! There are some pretty excellent passion fruit cream puffs on weekends, but you have to come in early, because they sell out fast! Their specialty cakes are also exceptional, and you can test them out in bite size portions. Ive been coming pretty regularly for a while and the staff usually sees me coming and has tea brewing as I walk in the door (Their coffee is also really good and the homemade vanilla bean syrup is delicious in lattes!). A previous reviewer commented that Midori ignored their cake order message and their in person order when they came in. That description doesnt match what I see every time I come in. Ive personally seen Morgan and her employees scrambling to organize events, meet custom cake orders with very clear communication, and often help the baristas prepare pastries and drinks. Ive also seen a few customers come in with bad attitudes or complaints, and watched the employees very professionally handle some unpleasant situations (and people). I would highly recommend this bakery to anyone on the Eastside, or even the downtown area. Its worth the trip!

Basically perfection. We heard about it from a friend and popped in for a trial run. Oh boy. Tried their croissant with tuna, fennel, olives and capers. It actually made me sad because its better than every other sandwich Ive bought the last three years. I felt like an idiot. The pastries are seriously of the highest quality. These are the croissants youve been looking for. Try the kugelhopf if youre tired of dreaming that glazed donuts can be fine art. Basically this place was so good that it called my previous judgment into question and hurt my feelings. Kids working there were great and you could feel their team spirit. Wish I lived closer, but this way I wont get enormously, lethally fat living off of pastry, which is still my contingency plan for late stage cancer. Good luck, you brutally talented monsters.

Best bakery ive been to in the greater Seattle region. Wife says its the best bakery outside of Paris. French bakery is ok, but Midori is phenomenal. Go here instead. My usual is the ham and cheese croissant but they recently started making a Pastrami and cheese with Rye croissant that has "taken the cake". On the sweeter side, everything Ive tried has been delicious. Lemon kugelhopf has some zing! Whatever you pick Im sure itll be good. Ive never been disappointed. I recently ordered a cake for an event. Was ready on time and it Presented beautifully. Most importantly tasted amazing. Who doesnt love breakfast cake the next morning? This is the place to go.

This one star they get for the great pastries they have. The customer service, however is awful. We tried contacting this people to make our wedding cake a year ago since they were local, and they didnt even have the decency to get back to us. we emailed them multiple times and made multiple calls, i guess they didnt need the business back then. Fast forward to today, there were three girls working and they were all chatting and laughing, all while im obviously waiting to get serviced. bottom line, this place has some GOOD food. too bad their staff is so unprofessional.

this bakery is nothing less than amazing! pastries and cakes are made to perfection with every bite. the consistency as well as the flavors are outstanding. the staff is approachable, friendly and very knowledgeable when it comes to what they have to offer. with the perfect combination of product, staff, and environment, i will say this bakery is a 10star out of 5. i live a few hours away from Midori bakery and i have no problem making a special trip to visit again.

My lady and I have been to every bakery in Redmond. Midori is the best. Nothing is ever too sweet. The creampuffs make you want creampuffs. My greed does not want me to tell you about the pretzels on the weekend. So with all that and more - their chocolate chip cookie is meh, but no bakery gets it all 100%. The c. chip cookie is too dry - we like soft with a little cooked edge. Go for the croissants, pretzels, cakes, and the espresso cookie.

This is one of the best pastry places in the greater Seattle area. If youve explored Seattles pastry scene, thats saying something. You cannot go wrong with anything they serve, from the baked goods to coffee. Im personally addicted to their kouign amanns (the first bit is roughly pronounced queen). The staff and owners are fantastic. Id also recommend their cakes for special occasions. I cannot recommend this place high enough

Found this bakery a few years ago in the warehouse district and remembered it well. Noticed recently that they moved to downtown Redmond and stopped by after a long run on the Sammamish Lake Trail. Lots of interesting and delicious treats, though I found the prices to be a bit high. While I enjoyed the food and surroundings, I wont be planning to return due to the cost.

I will give this place 6 star if I can! Very friendly and efficient staff, delicious coffee, and their pastries are divine! I have introduced a lot of friends and family to this place and they all thank me for it. Try the pain au chocolate, all types of croissants, and never leave without taking home the chocolate gateau.

Amazing pastries, some of the best Ive ever had. Flaky layers, just the right amount of crunch to chewy/creamy textures. The vanilla raspberry kugelhopf was outstanding, as was the caramel apple cranberry Danish (seasonal). Wish wed remembered to try one of the incredible looking gâteau, but next time!

This place has quickly become our favourite bakery. Their pastries are excellent (try the kugelhopfs), good coffee, friendly service. Their cakes look incredible although I havent had the pleasure of trying one yet. We mostly buy our stuff to go, but its also a nice place to sit and eat in.

Really great breakfast pastries. Fantastic flavor, freshness, and presentation. A cut above anything else in the local area, and as good as Ive had anywhere. Loved the banana and nutella, and the ham and cheese croissants. A little hard to find, but its well worth the effort.

Love their desserts, especially the passionfruit cream puff and banana nutella croissant (which runs out pretty early!) Their tea and coffee is delicious too. They make cakes to order and Id definitely order one for a special occasion.

Wonderful Bakery owned and operated by an amazing couple. So willing to go above and beyond to create. A big thank you for making Brittney and Jimmies baby reveal pies and fulfilling their wish to do something different and fun.

Really great pastries and coffee! Chocolate croissant was to die for! We found this place the last day of our vacation and were wishing we found it earlier so we could have come here every morning! Good luck in your new space!

Very nice place. Excellent pastries, same with coffee. Small faux pas with customer service is why this wasnt 5 stars. I do recommend it. Unique items, just not a huge selection. I had peanut butter cake and it was excellent.

Really good and varied pastries and cakes. You can also order your own cakes in any shape you like. Good for both savory and sweet options. Their coffee and tea are nice. Also keep an eye open for the sloth...
