Americanized mexican food but still pretty good. Prices are great, portions big and customer service is excellent. I got the crab enchiladas and there was some shell or tendon in one, so while it kind of tasted fishy at least i think it wasnt from a can. The strawberry chimis are to die for, its cheescake and strawberries wraped in a tortilla, fried and served with icecream and whip creme. I asked for whole beans instead of refried, they had them. My mom was late by an hour and they took care of me the whole time. Since it was near close i ended up ordering take out for my mom. Even got her an order of the strawberry chimis and wow each component was packaged seperatly to prevent a mess or the chimi from getting soggy. The gaucamole is so good and the pico de gaio is the kind with cabbage, super tastey. The two salsas kind of had a vingar tang to them but were alright, red was better then the tomatillo one. The meat wasnt cut in my togo order so had to wait tell i got home to eat. Was driving 2 hours and then work so that was disapointing.

I read the other reviews and Im left wondering why everyone rated the food so well? I can only figure that these people have either never had any REAL Mexican cuisine, or that they prefer the over-Americanized, spice less, over-cheesed glop that they serve here. For crying out loud, they cant even make a proper Chile Relleno!!! I was served a hard omelet with a small canned chile and a ton of cheese. Nothing was seasoned or had any spice at all. Even the two salsas, which were served with the chips, had no detectable heat. One was just red tomato sauce with a couple of onions and the other was just some blended tomatillos and onion. Needless to say I was left very disappointed. I wont be going back. Even cheap chains like Mazatlan, and Puerto Vallarta are better and I wont eat there either. Ugh! Please people go out and have some REAL Mexican food so that you can tell the difference!!!

This place is very bad. It smells strongly of subway and bleach. They seemed fine until we found a large piece of cooked plastic wrap in the food. When the worker noticed, she took the plastic and left with no appoligy. The beans also had bubbles, and tasted like trash. I suggest not going here unless you want rat as the primary meat wrapped up in a delicious plastic coat. One more thing, the cheese is in very hard blocks, and the bathroom had extreme mold next to the stall. The food has no spice, it is terrible microwave sewer rat that sufficated in the plastic they used that packaged their old upgrade possum. I suggest going to a soup kitchen where you can get canned chicken, instead of sewer rat.

I love the food here! I always get chicken enchiladas and they are always great! There is never a wait we are always seated right after we walk in the door. The wait staff are friendly, polite, and really good about refilling drinks, chips and salsa. The chips and salsa are really good too! They have always got my order correct. The wait for food is not very long and its always hot and delicious! One of the things I really like about this place is that not alot of people seem to know its there. Its in a mini-strip mall and its not easily seen so its never packed. You can easily get in and out for an hour long lunch! Its by Value Village and Subway.

Have tried other restaurants in the area like Mazatlan in Puyallup, Puerto Vallarta in Graham, and that new one El Toro on Canyon Rd. But this one has been the best so far. We are always seated as soon as we arrive, which I love, especially when Im starving. The staff is always friendly and polite. The food is great and served quickly. My favorite is the carne asada. It reminds me of the carne asada my dad used to make in Mexico. Anyway, love this place and will continue to dine here.

We went to lunch here today and had a great meal. The carne asada was really good, as was the chicken en mole and the chili verde. Great food, great service, great lunch. We found the atmosphere to be cozy. It was comfortable and didnt have that large Mexican chain restaurant feel. You could tell this was a family run restaurant. They take pride in their restaurant and it shows. We will be back.

My family and I dropped off our car at the Toyota service center and went over to have a bite at Playa Azul. We waited for someone to seat us fir 10 minutes! No one in sight! We hollered "hello" several times. Really disappointed that this business was doing so well that they didnt need any more customers. :(

I like this place and have been here several times over the past few months. Each time I tried something different and each time it was very good. The carne asada is my favorite, but I really like the chicken mole, too. The staff is always nice and the place has a comfortable feel.

Left a Mexican joint on meridian to try this place and have found a new home for great Mexican food. Service is top rate and the food beats the hell out of others. Prices are right, give it a try and you will also have a new home for great food

Excellent Mexican food. Service could be friendlier. Checking on customers a few minutes after serving the food is extremely important to me, and this does not happen here, but food is so good!
