If you wouldve asked me to review this restaurant a month ago I wouldve immediately selected a five. Unfortunately after last weeks fiasco they would get a zero if I could. Firstly, I ordered an deluxe enchilada meal with beef for takeout I also expressed that I have Celiac disease and I cannot have gluten or I would end up in the ER, and I asked for chips and salsa, I didnt know they charged for chips and salsa, oh well that is the least of the pain ahead. I received my order and drove home, this was my cheat meal mind you and I was spent from the gym. I get home and open the container and thought hmm where are the rice and beans and why is the enchilada so BIG, with all of the cheese, guacamole and onions I couldnt tell if it was a flour (deadly) or corn (safe) tortilla. So, I pulled off the smallest piece known to man and was mortified it was FLOUR! By this time I was VERY tired and extremely hungry so I drove over 20 minutes back to the restaurant and asked what is this, the two gals behind the counter seemed very amused I was calm but very upset. When I asked where were the rice and beans the gal sarcastically said there in the burrito, the Manadero burrito. Hmm I then stated I didnt order a burrito I ordered the deluxe enchilada plate, by this time the two women giggled and whispered to each other and one went back to the kitchen. Then a older lady came up to the register and the two spoke in Spanish to each other and although I was freaked they were never apologetic EVER. I received my enchilada deluxe meal and was told well we helped you out it wouldve been $1.50 more, WOW if only I wouldve been rung up correctly in the first place and received the right food, just WOW. Anyhow, I received a special gift from their mistake and from an unfortunate taste test, my sinuses swelled and a sinus infection resulted from the histamine response from the gluten in the flour tortilla. I WILL NEVER COME HERE AGAIN. I recommend this place to know one, because of the lack of empathy and because I was treated so poorly, and if you are gluten intolerant or have Celiac disease NEVER go to this restaurant.

Never in my life have Ive felt insulted while eating out with family. I couldnt believe the service this man was providing us which was none! I simply ask why havent we got water and silverware yet after waiting 40 min for our food. And our food came out before our silverware. Without letting us know that they dont serve coke products they just served us pepsi which we had to find out by tasting it. I believe that they should let us know if they dont have coke so we can order something else, instead he just said "yes we have coke" and bring out pepsi??? He also said we couldnt get chips until we order our food. On top of that! A order was made wrong for another customer and he brought it over to our table to sell it for half off to our friend which he was pressuring her to buy it for a discount. Who the hell does that???. I wanted to enjoy a night with my family that I barely get to see and he made the night awkward for all of us. Our bill came out to be $118 and we still gave him 20% on tip which he absolutely does not deserve. I hate to write bad reviews on restaurant because I want all businesses to be successful but Im tired of being a push over and letting a worker like this man ruin a special night for my family and I. After tonight I will never return to this establishment again. My money is better off spent at a grocery store than wasted on the worst service of my life. After reading other negative reviews on this restaurant, Im starting to see that this restaurant is building quite a reputation. So I believe whom ever is in charge of this establishment should really get started on retraining on service because your business will go under if you keep this up. Please make a change so others can avoid situations like tonight and take time out of their life just to write a review to notify the business of how they were treated.

I ate their 8 yrs ago sat at the restaraunt and the bar area the restaraunt needs a major renovation and doesnt meet the health code very dusty and dirty looking along the floor near the bar fridge the booths & tables with chairs & lighting fixtures are dated and ceiling tiles could also use an update along with lots of other things as well. The kitchen could use a good cleaning & they can also use some new equipment to cook on the refried beans were crunchy like it was over done the rice wasnt that great either Nor was the enchiladas. The dance room also can use some newer technical equipment new dj lighting systems and better sound speaker system so forth. They can also use a new beer tap system that looks more cleaner & has a nicer style than what they are currently using they need to improve the lighting on the inside as well & the exterior. I wouldnt recommend anyone to go to this location not till they make the changes to Make it better.

Ive eaten at multiple Mazatlan restaurants and Ive had mediocre to decent service from most. I moved to this area and started eating here regularly and put up with it for three years before I finally had enough of their awful service. This Mazatlan prepares everything differently. If you normally get rice and beans or something on the side with your meal, dont expect that here unless you pay an addition $3-5. If you usually get chips and salsa while you wait, dont expect that here. If you normally get a dish of sour cream for $2.50 here, be aware this Mazatlan will only give you a single spoonful. If you expect your food hot and fresh, you may be disappointed. On several occasions my food was lukewarm, the cheese was not melted, it tasted like it was pulled from a freezer and shoved in a microwave or something. Not sure if its a different owner or just awful employees but I have heard so many similar complaints about this Mazatlan from other Puyallup Residents.

Was horrible. We ordered drinks and were deciding on dinner. I asked for chips and salsa and they refused to bring them until we ordered. We placed our order and they brought the chips and two bowls of salsa. They chips had a bad taste. Like plastic or paint. The food arrived and it was decent, but after I boxed up what I didnt finish i saw that there was lots of salsa left. So I ask if I could have a small container to take the salsa for my left over nachos. She said no, but that I could purchase some salsa to go. She said it was the owners policy. I said no thank you. I already spent $50 on the meal and she can tell the owner he is greedy and I will not come back, ever. Poor, poor customer service and offensive, so called money saving policies. And I got diarrhea immediately after eating. Dont go there. Yuck! I gave them one star only because I had too. Otherwise would be 0.
