Of the establishments that sell Sushi in Lacey, this is undoubtedly my favorite place to cure the craving. It is a very clean and organized establishment, of which Ive never gotten sick eating at. Which impressive, for the quantity and variety of sushi Ive eaten here. The Staff are attentive without being burdening, and very well mannered. You will pay Sushi prices, but they are definitely not unreasonable if you plan to make a meal out of it. (I average around $50 for two with more than enough Sushi) I believe this is reasonable because Sushi is one of those things you dont want to pay bargain prices for. Generally cutting those corners is pretty bad for your health. For best service and taste, I recommend not going at off hours. As in my experience, they have their less experienced chef(s) rolling and cutting at this time. The rolls may be slightly less tight, however often are compensated with more quantity of ingredient per roll. Where as Ive noticed during peak times, the more experienced chef will be on duty, and the quality of his Sushi explains by itself why its worthy of a business. That said, dont be afraid to go during off times, to avoid crowding or just as some mid day Sushi urges hit you. They do well to check and balance the unexperienced Chefs, and you will still get very good rolls.

We went on St. Valentines day and ate at the bar. Pros: The taste and freshness of the sushi was very good, the service was excellent, and the sushi chef was very friendly. Cons: Minor and not worth mentioning. They were pretty busy, and the chefs seemed a little rushed. It was our first time at a real sushi bar (sushi go-rounds prior) so I dont really know what to expect. Were going to try a couple more restaurants in the area to get some perspective. We ate here a week ago in the dining room and were very impressed. The only neg then was that the teriyaki was a little cold, but the presentation there was excellent. Three stars to me is "Its pretty good and Id go back". Four is "Very good and were regulars!", Only been to one five; Ruths Chris in Seattle. Enjoy!

Service was slow, I accidentally marked the wrong line down on the order form (meant to mark the roll beneath the one I checked), and as soon as the food was brought to the table (took about 30 minutes), I told the waitress what I intended to order and they didnt even over too change it. After I only ate 1 piece of the roll I was given and did not like it, and again told the cashier I didnt like what I got and had intended to order a different roll, they didnt offer any kind of discount or comp on the roll. The entire time we were there (about 45 minutes), no one checked on us to ask if we needed anything, and our waters were empty for the entire second half of our visit. On top of that, the sushi just wasnt good quality. Well never be going back, unfortunately.

I always love going to Osaka for food. Everything Ive had has always tasted great! One time, I had suggested it to my family for Dinner. Everyone sat around the table, with several different dishes spread around, and everyone loved it! I cant think of any other restaurant Id rather go to, especially if I want Japanese food. I even have their number in my phone for when I want to order a Bento!

Friendly chef. Sat at sushi bar. Soft shell crab was overcooked to the point of being burned. California roll and Osaka roll were excellent. Uni nigiri was sweet and not the briny sea splash in your mouth. We split a large sake. Also ordered a maguro and a sake nigiri. Total $55. Have been here several times before. This was the first time soft shell crab wasnt perfect. Will return.

Just moved here from Japan and because we miss it terribly, we had to try Osaka. It was not horrible but definitely not like real Japanese or Korean food. The most authentic was the Udon and Kimchi, though still not the same. The Ramen was horrible and the sushi was American-ized and over priced. Still a nice place for those who are not familiar with authentic Japanese food.

The food is the only concern here. The combo #3 of tonkatsu and chicken teriyaki was lacking. The chicken was drowned in a sweet sauce and one side was burnt to give it a crunch texture along with the softness of the chicken on the other side. The tonkatsu was thin and hard but the sauce was good. The service was exceptional and the ambiance was great.

We initially came to Osaka because it was one of the few restaurants open till ten. But what a discovery! Beautifully decorated, incredibly sweet owners and employees, and best of all, fantastic food. The Lion King Sushi was delicious! Along with the Miso soup, tempura , and Gyoza. I definitely recommend this experience.

Mediocre sushi. Kind of expensive for the (lack of) quality. My wife and I stopped going here because the waitress always criticized us for eating "so much". We would order 5 rolls between the two of us. I didnt think it was a lot. Got tired of hearing her smartass comments, then found Sushi house in Olympia. Siyanara Osaka!

I dont know what the dining area is like because Ive always sat at the sushi bar- the sushi chef is great and will make you whatever roll you want. Fish is fresh and has a great taste. Definately recommend it. Sushi house on Black Lake Boulevard is also good if you need somewhere on the West side of Oly.

Good service, delicious food and some of the best authentic Japanese food youll get in the Lacey/Olympia area. For the quantity and type of food served, its reasonably priced. The beef was delicious, and I was very satisfied with their gyoza. Id recommend Osaka to anyone.

Food was meh, we seemed to be a bother to the servers, 4 top (2kids and a baby) set at a 2 top. When served our soups we were given one spoon. When asked for 3 more she gave us silly looks and said "you all need spoon??!" Ive had better mall food. I wont be back.

It took almost an hour to get our food. Very very slow! Only had two people ordering food, like how long does it take to make it? Not very long. Prices are high. Cool atmosphere but not worth the hour long wait just to get my food.

Handicapped with a service animal. Dont bother. Policy is no dog, no dog, no dog. Staff and owners need to educate themselves on the law. They reluctantly agreed after making me so comfortable that I didnt stay.

Ive been there at least 5 times, including twice with my 16 month old. Every time the waitress and sushi chef have been terrific. It has always been delicious. I highly recommend the double spicy tuna roll. Wowzers!

Ive never had a bad experience there. Their sushi is good, but where Osaka really shines is as a traditional Japanese restaurant. I recommend trying one of the bento dinners, a bit of everything cooked perfectly.

The ramen is actual top ramen with meat and veggies thrown in. Trader Jos has better Bulgogi and the noodles for the Yakisoba are not good at all. Not coming here again.

My experience at this place was really good. I would have gave them excellents on everything, but thats hard for me to do when I have been to a better asian restaurant.
