Im not sure the above reviewers went to the right place, or they are plant-reviews by other restaurants? The reason I say this is because I have eaten Amorns food over the last three years, and he is incredibly consistent- his phad thai is always top notch, wonderfully succulent (and the NOT the ketchup kind). I have rated Thai food from around the country and the world, and I have no reservation serving Amorns to my most jaded thaifood-loving friends. Its that good. Amorn personally sources many key ingredients from his homeland, and his family is integral to the business and makes the experience eat-in or take-out warmly memorable. The fact the prices are very reasonable for such quality thaifood makes Amorn Thai a no-brainer when you have the craving!!!

Had the Pad Thai and my wife had the Yellow Curry. I can report that the pad Thai is spot on. Noodles are perfectly cooked, the peanut sauce is delicious. Portion size is not American-sized but is filling, and entrées are inexpensive, ranging from $8-9. I ordered my pad Thai three stars for spiciness, and got just the right amount of spice - a pleasant moderate burn to enhance the flavor but nothing uncomfortable. Owners appear to be Thai and the place seems very authentic. Would recommend! One note - they are cash only but will take card if youre nice.

Terrible experience here today when I went with 3 adults, 4 children and a baby. The food was overpriced for what you get and we felt extremely rushed. It said cash only all over the restaurant but once we said to each other that we wouldnt be able to get anything they said we could use a card. Then once we saw the bill, we realized they charged us a service fee (without informing us before the meal) for having 6 people and using a card. When we were asking what the hidden fee was for the man whispered rudely under his breath in thai. Will never be back!

You can easily miss this little restaurant driving down the road but that would shame. I have only had the phad thai on the six or so occasions I have stopped in there. Every time it has been great. Other friends have enjoyed their dishes also. If I get phad thai else where I end up comparing it to Amorns dish and I have not found a better replacement. I t is not a large or fancy place. Some my mark it down for that but it excels where it counts, their food. It is a little jewel in Mountlake Terrace, WA that I am glad I stumbled upon one evening.

Always looking for good eats near home, and here it is! This place is fantastic and worth the drive if you dont live near by. Decided to order some standards just to feel the place out and I was not let down- I am looking forward to being more adventurous with their menu next time! cute decor- looks like husband and wife run it and have their two kits helping out and doing homework near the front counter. The place just felt welcoming. I know where I am going next time I am craving Thai food! Enjoy! (also- Yelp has more reviews)

My sister, my best girlfriend and our 5 children went here for lunch. Cash only but offered to take a card then they charged us a $12 group and service fee for being a 7 person group and did not tell us about it until after we ate. Then the male owner kept whispering in Thai under his breath in a rude tone to his wife. 1 baby, 1 toddler, and 8, 10, and 12 year old kids were charged service fees. On top of it dishes were small and not that great. You were warned!

I personally have never had Thai food before, however, my parents had, but none of us had ever been to Amorn Thai before. Once my mom had free time, we all went together, I loved the food, and my parents were constantly making comments about how much better it was than -insert another Thai restaurant here-. The service was great, the decor was very homey and inviting, and the food, well, I love Thai food now!

Extremely friendly service and well decorated restaurant. Sadly, the food left something to be desired for me. I ordered the curry fried rice for takeout and when I got it home, it was bland and underwhelming. I actually had to add curry powder to it to make it palatable. Also, it is cash only, which is frustrating. I never carry cash, so even if I were to eat here again it would require planning.

I had the Pad See Iwe with chicken, three stars. It was... okay. The noodles were poorly separated and Im pretty sure the chicken and broccoli had been cooked separately from the sauce and added after the fact. The sauce was tasty but nothing to write home about. If this were walking distance to me, I might go back now and then, but there are better Thai places within a few miles.

Real Thai Food. Brought my friend who lives in Thailand and she confirmed the authenticity. The restaurant has fresh basil plants around for use in the dishes. Very friendly family run business. They only serve the mango dessert when they are in season. Appreciate that. GET THE MANGO IF ITS IN SEASON. SO GOOD. Cash only, FYI

Great down-home Thai food. Everything is fresh and they wont shy from giving you spicy food if you ask for it. Their 4 and 5 star spice level is on the high end for places in the northwest. The restaurant is cash only though, so make sure you come in prepared for that.

Just a heads up to everyone - they seem to take a family trip during the summer every year back to Thailand. Call ahead if youre not sure. When they get back though, well be wolfing down their excellent food :)

What outstanding food! You can tell they really care about the quality. The service was good and the owners were very nice. We cannot wait to go back again and are happy to have found this gem near our home.

We live near-by and have driven by the restaurant many times. Finally stopping by, we were treated to a great dinner! The spicing had good depth and surprising sophistication. This is worth driving for!

Amorn is my favorite Thai place. The pad thai is terrific - its become the standard by which I compare all other pad thai. The staff is friendly, service is quick. Great place, I cant recommend it enough.

Portions were small and the hidden service fee was absurd! And when I politely asked what is was for the guy whispered something or another in thai under his breath. Definitely wont be back.

One of the best Thai places in Seattle. Five star is usually quite spicy, unlike many Seattle places. Seafood is great, the beef is great, the veggies are usually crisp and tasty.

A great summer treat! Amorn is not in Thailand this summer! A real, old-style, family run authentically ethnic restaurant. Amorns yearly weeks in Thailand must be his secret.

The place is decent - their Tom Kha is far too sweet, and their 5 spicy is not very spicy. Other than that, its got a huge selection of unique Thai foods.

Great small Thai restaurant for small to medium groups. It is a cash only restaurant, but the food is great and the service is great. Reasonable prices.
