Old Village Korean restaurant attracts people from all countries: however you will find many Koreans dining there. That might be a good sign that Old Village Korean Restaurant offers good authentic Korean foods. They offer large selections of Korean foods and drinks. Also they have number of tables that customers can charcoal grill Korean BBQ (which is rare in greater Seattle areas and many Korean restaurants now use gas grills instead). Atmosphere is very close to Korean Restaurants in Korea (I meant ordinary places in Korea). So it could be a good place to bring back a nostalgia and good memories about Korea. Hostess and waitress are mature and well trained. • Service: Average (a bit slow though) • Price: slightly over average • Atmosphere: Good (however, their restroom is not clean and kitchen is not clean) • Food Quality: Above average • Parking: Good enough • Avoid factor: Smoke/grilled food smell from Korean BBQ – It is unavoidable whether you order Korean BBQ or not, your clothes will have that distinctive Korean BBQ smell for a while until you wash your clothes. Friday Dinner time, you might have to wait. • Recommendation: Call ahead of time and make a reservation for weekend dinner, Korean Boneless BBQ, Charcole Bulgogi, and 아구찜

To say disappointed would be a complete understatement. On the Korean BBQ menu, the cheapest dishes come in at around $21.75, with the most expensive at around $36.00. After the order is placed, the waiter/waitress brings out a small house salad for every two plates of meat ordered, and by small, it is a typical 6" serving bowl filled roughly 2/3 of the way. And this is only if you spend (at a minimum) $43.50 for dishes such as BBQ Chicken or Beef Brisket. With five dishes ordered as a group, all the different types of meat came out on a single plate, and the portion sizes were stingy. Coming in at around 3/4 pound of meat per order, the price is nowhere near justifiable. The only upside of the restaurant was the unlimited sides, but those were just average. The service itself was pretty bad. Multiple orders were forgotten, and additional orders would only be brought out after reminding the waiter/waitress a second time. The restaurant itself was not busy, but multiple people were attempting to serve tables, which is likely where the lack of communication was. All in all, they werent very attentive to customers.

This is my familys go-to Korean restaurant because the food is absolutely delicious. They marinate their meat well and the seafood pancake is fluffy and crispy. Even though the food is good, the service is terrible. Weve been here when we were one of five tables seated and we go long periods of time without people checking on us. We came a couple of times during the dinner rush and had to awkwardly figure out that we had to put our name down ourselves on the clipboard in the corner of the waiting area. Waiters would bring us our meat but would forget the rice... even after being reminded twice. From sitting in the waiting area, honestly it looked like none of the waiters and waitresses had their own assigned area. For multiple tables, the waiter who took your order was different from the one who checked on you and different from the one who rang you up. This place could use some better organization.

We recently ate here and had some of the Korean dishes rather than the BBQ since it was our first time. I had a delicious experience with the tteokbokki and also had a hot stone bowl - The secret to the stone bowl is to let the rice at the bottom of the bowl sit and get nice and crispy! Everything was so good and tasted fresh! the service was a little laxed, I think we only really saw a server twice, but the owner? I think did come over and say hi and asked about the meal and was very pleasant to talk to as she appreciated that we knew a little about the food before we came in :) Overall the atmosphere was a nice and relaxed anyway so we had a great time just sitting and talking about the k-pop on the TVs. The only thing I wish was different was that the soda wouldnt come in cans, but I can also get why some places do thing this way...

Place was freezing cold, service was lacking, food was just ok. I wasnt the only one who was cold. Looked around and noticed that very few seated people had removed their outerwear (coats, scarves, hats). Even those who looked like theyd been there awhile. I kept getting blasted by ice cold air every minute or so, must have been a door somewhere even though we were in the back of the restaurant. Uncomfortable dining experience. Also we had to keep a sharp eye out to snag someone, anyone, who could do basic things for us like bring our food, bring our check, remind them what we ordered, etc. We missed our movie because no one bothered to bring us our check for 45 minutes.

We were party of 3 and the first time dinning there. We ordered the Marinated Galbi with bone and the Spicy BBQ Pork. The beef was tough, even up to we had to cook it to "well done", proved to be the poor meat quality. The pork tasted not fresh even it was marinated in the heavy flavored sauce. The service was poor as well: when we asked for additional side dishes, the waitress seemed not too pleased to bring more to us. Shes never returned to ask if we needed anything else , not even refilled our water through out the time. Overall, it was a very disappointed dinning experience. Probably would not return!

We can only base or review on what we saw and smelled as after waiting for 10 minutes we werent so much as acknowledged by the wait staff. When my wife asked about a waiting list, the waitress said something unclear in Korean. Shortly after another family have up and left. We waited another 10 minutes and watched a family who had been seated for a while wait without having their order taken. We have up, never having had a chance to try it ourselves.

I asked my husband to pick up an order and they changed the price exclusively for him, the chicken dinner was for us $20. I have eaten there before and I knew that this wasnt the real price. My husband stopped by the next day to pick up a menu and someone had taken a pen and crossed out the old price and written in $20. I dont trust them, I feel that they are dishonest and that they dont really care about anyone but their Korean customers.

I dont really write a review about the restaurant often but I have to say this place gave me a cancer today. I had to wait like 15 minutes for some one to bring me a cup of water when there are not many tables have been occupied. I wouldve got over it if my waitress didnt take another 15 minutes to bring a goddamn menu so that I can order some extra meat because I didnt know 2 serving plate of meat was literally "2 pieces" of meat.

My family originally opened this restaurant around 1994...I cant believe its still open today...even the sign is the same and we even made the interior hand made wooden tables and seats (wonder if they are still there)...i grew up in this restaurant 14 years ago and boy it sure looks like one hell of an establishment in that part of town. How i miss shoreline! So many fond memories and Im glad it still gets good reviews!
