We were dining late on a Saturday and wanted to try this place but waited for after the rush. No one was in there and still were seated at the smallest table so we requested a larger one. Ambiance was nice but had to ask for a candle for the table lamp. Ordered Saag paneer which I could tell was old and way too salty, with like 2 pieces of paneer in it. Chicken Masala was pretty good, although entree dishes were very small portioned. Rice was good, Garlic naan was excellent, also decided to ask about a curry vegetable dish, waitress suggested the Korma vegetable, she said was quite popular- but cant imagine why, since it was just potatoes - I mentioned this to the waitress and she argued that there was cauliflower and carrots also, without any inspection or apologies. It was pretty pricey for Indian food and we felt somewhat ripped off. There are way better deals and service out there.

This was not the best Ive had. For an appetizer we ordered Tandoori Chicken Wings. Honestly Ive had lots of Tandoori Chicken over the years, and have made it homemade. The meat didnt have that distinctive redish color, it was covered in what I could only describe as a dark brown BBQ type sauce, it was sweet, was very disappointed. We also ordered coconut curry prawns and lamb tika masala. The tika masala was alright, mine is better. The coconut curry was kind of bland, and prawns overcooked. Then they sent us home with the left overs in those clam shell type styrofoam containers. Since these are sauces, most places Ive been put them in a small round tub with a lid that seals. Yeah the sauce ended up all over the bottom of the bag, so left overs ended up in the trash anyway. Wont be back.

Upon entering, the staff was friendly and welcoming. We wanted the buffet which was $13.99/person, even for children. The buffet was extremely small with not a lot of variety. A lot of the dishes were gone and had not been replenished. The food was ok, but not great. Then came the bill, I could not believe it... We had six people with us including 3 children - all of us got the buffet except one adult only got a $5.95 side salad. I went to pay the check and they added an additional 18% Service Fee to my entire bill (this was not an automatic tip). We were never notified of the automatic 18% service fee for a party of six people prior to sitting down. My bill was almost $100 for marginal food and a small buffet with not much variety. Dont waste your money here!

The food was good but the lunch host was so rude, she was treated every one nicely except us. she also charged us for 1 kids brunch for my 11 month old baby . She was hovering my husband and I as we got our food and then was shaking her head and making faces when she saw my BABY had made a mess on the floor . I always clean up after him when we go out but not today. Also there is not a large selection of food . This place is not family friendly and I had a overall bad 1st impression. We will not be coming back.

Excellent place, best option for Indian in the north end. Atmosphere is wonderful inside and service is good if a little matter of fact, prompt and accurate which is what I prefer but dont get me wrong theyre friendly as well. Food is excellent, price and quality cant be beat. Ive been here for takeout, dinner with visiting parents, and the lunch buffet (which is an awesome deal). Even my Indian friend raves about this place. Highly recommend.

The food served here was mediocre at best. The spices tasted raw, the food was quite oily, and my daughters side vegetables still had a produce sticker on it- after cooking! The tandoori naan and the service were great, but the food we ordered was off- we ordered tandoori chicken, two different curries, eggplant bharta, and buryani. My family is from this region- and I never had food like this in India. Sadly, we wont be going back.

Came in for dinner (havent tried the buffet) and loved it. My girlfriend is dairy, gluten and egg free and they could not have been more accommodating! They make everything to order so she was able to have anything on the menu, which is rare to find for any style of restaurant. We will definitely be back.

My wife and I went for the lunch buffet. It was not a huge selection, which I wouldnt have minded if the food was good. The goat curry was really tough. The butter chicken was the best dish they had and it was just OK. I cant remember the last time I had Indian food this disappointing.

Amazed!!! Believe me, except me and my friend everyone in there are americans and the restaurant is full. We have waited nearly 15 min to get a place. Indian lunch buffet is good and with different varieties. Good place for a family outing. Youll be excited.

I have been going here for years, food is always great, if it is busy sometimes they run out of food quick. Everything tastes authentic. Butter chicken is moist unlike some places I have ate at, prices are extremely reasonable! Will keep coming back

Food is great! Not sure if we were just too early for the dinner crowd, but we were the only ones in the restaurant at 6pm. Lots of takeout orders though. Mango lassi was great with the chicken Tikka Masala! Will definitely be back.

The staff were so friendly and the food was amazing! We came in for dinner and had a very nice sized portion of Buttered chicken and very delicious garlic naan bread. Ill be back for the buffet next time.

My favorite restaurant, the best Indian food Ive ever had. The people here are so kind too, they always remember me when I come in. The mango beef curry and coconut lamb curry are my two favorite dishes.

Royal India is an excellent Indian restaurant, over the years (20) I have not been disappointed yet. A positive is their use of chili spices, they will make a dish as hot as you want including very hot.

Good buffet, nice staff. Wish they had more spicy options on the buffet though. A little crowded in terms of seating as well. But if you go on a not so busy day, Im sure it is probably just right.

Smallish buffet but the staff are friendlier than some other local Indian buffets. There is one cold bar and one hot bar. There is a chai dispenser too, which is nice for after your meal.
