This is a review for the bottle shop part of Hop-n-Grape. This is by far the best bottle shop in town. Unfortunately, that doesnt say much as they dont hold a candle to the bottle shops youll find in Portland or elsewhere. The selection is pretty good and they have a wide variety from a lot of different breweries, both domestic and foreign. However, you really need to be careful of old stock, check the dates on those bottles. There are a lot of 6, 9, 12 month old or older IPAs, Pale Ales, and other brews that do not age well sitting on the shelves. Hop-n-Grape also takes a long time to get new and special releases in stock, IF they get them in stock at all. I think this is because they only get the overflow from the Portland market. If you go in asking about that new special release your favorite brewery just came out with, youll probably get an answer of "yeah were trying to get that from our distributor" or "we should have that soon, or in a few weeks, maybe a month or two" which is a bad answer when Im asking about some new fresh hop IPA. And then when they do get that special release in stock, youll never know it because they hide them in back and you have to ask for them if they have it. So in summary, its an okay bottle shop if you can find what you want and its not covered in a thick layer of dust. I still find myself driving an hour to Portland about once a month to pick up new and special releases.

Ive been to HopnGrape a few times before last night and always had an ok experience, the portions are small for the price but thats usually how it is at smaller local restaurants. However, generally a smaller shop will try to make up for that with great customer service. After last night I, nor anyone else in our party of 6 will ever be returning there. We came in at 5pm thinking there would be a dinner rush (it was a Saturday) instead it was seat yourself and half empty. Since we were a party of 6 we took the larger table on the wall right next to the bar. At the time there were about 5 waitresses standing behind the bar with maybe 3 tables of 3 occupied. Not exactly busy. No one greeted us or asked if we wanted drinks the entire time. We made eye contact, asked for service and basically begged to be waited on. They just stood there chatting to each other. The man with the stache who Ive been told owns the place walked past us and his staff and did nothing. We left went right across the street to Los Pepes and had a fantastic experience. I guess HopnGrape feels established enough they didnt need our business, so we will happily oblige them.

Town gem here guys! They even have beer making supplies! Also beer ice cream floats! Haha Great bbq style food and literally hundreds of beer choices as well as considerable wine. This is both a store and restaurant, so you can pick up anything you want and theyll open it for you in the restaurant half. Imported beer section as well thats far more expansive than other stores like Safeway. Staff is friendly, knowledgeable and helpful in store. About once a month, there are FREE beer tasting events that they announce via Facebook! Maybe once every 1-3 years, they have blowout sale of half off! Youll get some real stinkers because theyre so old, but 80% if the sale items are delicious. TVs around the room, like maybe 10+ show a mix of sports and rotating beer and wine menu. Only annoyance is crazy loud people, but no way around that. And its always packed at peak hours youd expect. They are also in process of expanding to commerce downtown Longview for Mediterranean food and becoming their own brewery!

I really want to give this place a 5 star rating, but I cant. While the food was great, and the customer service is decent, theres a couple things left to be desired. After being seated, and ordering a beer which was a little higher on the abv scale, I was given about a half a pint of the said beer. The waitress explained that they serve that beer in smaller portions because of the abv, but she didnt tell me before hand. I feel like thats important to point out when youre paying for a pricey beer. Also, I think they have a moisture issue in their refrigerator where they sell their beers. A lot of the bottles have white mold growing on them. Since theyre hermetically sealed, the beer is fine, but its just not visually appealing, and there have been beers I wanted but didnt pick out due to the mold problem. Invest in a dehumidifier perhaps? With that in mind, I still liked the place, and would recommend to a friend.

We came here with my parents. The ambiance is very loud making it difficult to have a conversation. Their menu is limited for gluten free choices. They did not have decaf coffee and the regular coffee was very strong. I ordered the sausage fry with a salad and the red potato and bacon salad. The green salad was excellent. The ingredients fresh and the olive oil balsamic dressing a perfect blend. The sausages were very tasty. The potato/bacon salad not my favorite but I can see how others might find it good. Mom and Dad both ordered the hush puppies as one of their sides which were way over cooked. Rather than have them remade they opted for a change in sides which were just okay. The food is okay but the environment is so detrimental to conversation we wont be back.

The BEST food in town. Seriously one of the best BBQ/ smokehouses I have ever been to. Sadly I will never go there again due to the worst service I have ever had. Its amazing how one waitress can ruin someones day in just a 40 minute session. I think the worst thing is the word of mouth buisness that has been ruined by my experience. I have told many people about how amazing the food is, but once I tell them about the service, they vow not to even try it. I wish this was a 5 star rating Hop and Grape, as it truly should be.

No doubt, one of the best places Ive ever dined at. I love the simple, hole-in-the-wall feel of the place. Immediately, when we walked in, we were greeted with an amazing smokehouse smell. It was a seat yourself environment. The server we had was very attentive to our needs and helpful in offering suggestions for our meals. To my knowledge, all the food was made from scratch. We enjoyed delicious and hearty meals, alongside a refreshing glass of dark Porter.

Great concept. Home brew place up front and craft brews on tap in the back. Throw in the Smokehouse BBQ food and you should have a winner. Only complaints was it was hard to find at night, why do they close a bar at 8 and why did our server have no clue about the beer choices? It could be a winner across the board, but needs just a little tweak. Food and beer was great. Just would have liked more time to enjoy it all.

I have only visited for two reasons: beer and cigars. The staff here is full of super knowledgeable people. You can literally walk in and ask the most random beer question, and you will leave with the perfect custom built 4 or 6 pack. Also, mad respect on the cigar humidor. I go to so many places where they dont know how to sell a good cigar, and this is one of the exceptions. Great job guys!
