My wife heard about this place and we decided to drop by for a Saturday brunch of sorts. We were welcomed when we came in, even though they were crazy busy, which was a nice first touch. From there, we were so distracted by the display full of amazing looking pastries that I almost forgot what I was there for. The word "restraint" became important from then on and I had to limit myself to just a few small ones to try before ordering a sandwich. We had to go back Sunday for more. Everything...yes, everything...we had was amazing. The croissants were perfect, the dulce de leche mini-brioche was drool-worthy, and the egg, bacon, and cheddar waffle is fantastic. On top of that, the coffee is top-notch. The barista takes a consistent amount of care with every drink and it shows. The iced white mocha was different than any I had before and served up in a milkshake glass. The cappuccino was nearly beyond compare, even in coffee crazy Seattle. Its worth a visit for their coffee alone, but dont think you wont be tempted by the dizzying array of other things to try. Well be back for more without a doubt.

My kids and I walked by the other day and decided to grab couple butter croissants and Pain au Chocolat. The pastries looked big and unattractive at first glance. After our first bites, the croissants werent airy and light like a proper one. Theyre doughy in the middle and missing that famous fluffiness. We took few bites and left them. Too Bad the bakery is nice.

My daughter, very very picky about her bakery goods, had just left a class at SurLaTable for making macarons, and we dropped in looking for a cup of coffee. What a find! I had the best Cappuccino possibly ever; daughter had a pear croissant, one of the best pastries shed ever had; and I can say the same for my palmier! Cant wait to get back there!

This place has the best croissants youll find on the Eastside. Since finding Aura we have been going in almost weekly to pick up a box of six croissants to bring back home so we can hear them up in the oven. As everybody knows, hot fat is better than cold fat. Lots of buttery layers of golden goodness are a great way to start a weekend.

Enjoy this bakery and especially love their chocolate dipped biscotti. Sometimes with cranberries and white chocolate, other times, dipped in dark chocolate. They reduced the portion size of these bags so I havent visited as regularly as I did when they opened. They make great croissants too....recommend the ham and cheese.

Usually crowded and noisy. Great macarons and almond croissant. Althought the last time I went the almond croissant I got was too hard and crusty (almost like it was old) and I had to throw it away after I got home. :( Not sure if I will go back.

Best pastry in Kirkland, bar none. Claudia is the owner/Master Chef and her offerings are stellar. She also make Challah for the weekend and restaurants in Seattle. Coffee is pricey, though and parking sucks, but there is a lot across the street.

I just bought 8 pastries in here and was charged for 11!! Sadly, I realized that in my car and did not have time to return. Dear Aura, you have nice bakery, you can do business without such scams. Very unpleasant experience... Be aware!

I liked the pastries very much, staff was helpful and friendly. Coffee is OK, but it also depends on what you like (Im a bit of a coffee snob). Cafe is clean and pleasant.

Best coffee and pastries in town Hands down the best coffee in Kirkland, coupled with a first class bakery that prepares a huge assort of fresh baked pastries every day.

Decent pastries however the selection shrinks quickly during the day. While they dont roast their own coffee on site, the beans are supplied by Intelligentsia.

Chocolate cheesecake was pretty good. I wish the wifi was better, needed to have a video call for work and couldnt get enough juice for it to work :(

Their pastries are very good with delicate flavors. Its not typical American pastries that have no flavors other than sugar and butter.
