Met a girlfriend for a leisurely lunch - clam chowder was the best Ive had outside of Boston. We split the fish and chips and a bottle of wine. Finished our meal splitting a chocolate decadence and a nummy almond cake with cream filling confection. every dessert looked delirious and we finally settled by playing enny meni mini mo! The soup and all the desserts are made fresh on site and worth a visit on their own! Weve already made plans for a return visit!

5 stars are not common for me, this gem deserves it. Friendly team help you learn about what they have to offer. They take the time to listen to and answer your questions. For example, I learned that the Chef made the desserts fresh the morning I was there. The food was above expectations, it was higher quality than many high priced restaurants in Seattle I have been too. I plan to visit again.

Expensive, uninventive food. Its obvious that theyre paying off a nice remodel of the dining room with high menu prices. Unfortunately, the food does not match the prices they are asking for it. It wasnt bad, but there is better pub food in the area. Either go fancy with a good chef to match the ambiance, or lower prices, and turn and burn.

Ive eaten at Carnation Cafe as many times as i could afford this year. The "tolt burger" is the freshest, highest quality burger Ive ever had. Ive sampled much of the menu over the past 8 months and I can honestly say chef Don has created a menu worth going out of your way to experience. The house staff is competent, friendly and attentive.

I just visited this place after a run. The staff are all very pleasant, the cafe is nice and inviting. I ordered their lunch special which was a grilled meatloaf sandwich on sourdough with BBQ sauce and cheese. Best sandwich Ive ever eaten, so yummy! Totally worth a visit, and return visits for me!

I had the chicken fried steak and eggs. The eggs were cooked well and the gravy and potatoes were fantastic. I had hoped that they would knock me socks off with the steak but, it was average at best. The service was good and the restaurant was very friendly. I will be coming back again.

It was simply meh. The food was ok, really really greasy and the burger I had could hardly stay together in my hands. Honestly made me feel a little sick after eating. The staff are amazing and do a wonderful job! But the food itself could use some help. It was also rather bland.

I am very impressed. The food (Pastrami sandwich with homemade chips and carrot cake and ice cream) was fresh and high quality. The bathrooms could use a good wall cleaning or new paint. But, every single other thing I experienced was outstanding.

Took my 3 granddaughters there for breakfast on Saturday, January 21st. Everyone had a great breakfast and exactly what they wanted. Less expensive than McDonalds and good food. Allaura is the best server. Just the right amount of attention.

I grew up in the area and I barely recognized the old Bank of America building. They really transformed this place into a cozy family cafe. They had a delicious and beautiful Mothers Day brunch and it wasnt too busy.

Biscuits and gravy are the BEST Ive ever had in my life, and that is no exaggeration. Not the traditional white gravy. Highly recommend this establishment. A family feel with an upscale modern ambience.
