I usually eat "all you can eat" sushi because I like the variety and I dont want to spend a lot of money. With that you usually have to take a hit on quality. Not here. I found my new sushi place!!! From the miso, green salad and edemame it was clear to me that this place was quality. Great menu of creative rolls and sushi choices. The sushi and rolls were delicious! Moist fish on an appropriate sized piece of rice. Tasted super fresh and simply put ... perfect sushi! It was well above average in my opinion for an all you can eat option. Look, you want super quality and a hot towel go to a top notch place not a pay one price. At Asahi it is really really great quality. I recently moved to the Yorktown va area and was having trouble finding a good place. I am super happy here! I found the place clean and nice. The service was appropriate and fast. I look forward trying different items on my future visits.

It was about 13 years ago now when I had first tried sushi at this very spot, and I even sat at the same seat just the other day. Now, I cant recall if it had changed names/management since then, but the decor is still fantastic and I still love sitting at the proper sushi bar to dine. Theyve got an excellent selection of specialty rolls, but my main comparison of here vs any other sushi joint is how well they make their Tekka Maki (tuna rolls) which is always very generous with the deep red tuna portions. Theyve got a decent saki selection as well. Also new, an all you can eat sushi menu which is quite nice on the weekends. Please stop by here before trying any other local sushi place. You cant go wrong.

Both times Ive dined at thus establishment have been awesome. The first time I ordered takeout for my husband and myself (Chicken Katsu Box, Pad Tai, and a couple rolls). It was absolutely delicious and I easily had leftovers for lunch. We visited again recently to try their sushi buffet. Its reasonably priced and there is a good selection of nigiri, maki rolls, and specialty rolls. Just know that the sushi buffet is pretty much just sushi (no hibachi entrees like some other places). However, quality is definitely one of the best, and Im looking forward to my next visit.

Best place Ive ever eaten hands down. Been going to Asahi since it was Sakura. Through three owners, and the newest owner, made it into a family business which had made it even more welcoming. And his sons are some of the best sushi chefs Ive ever seen especially for their age. Best part is if you arent a sushi fan hey, they have a Chinese menu too!! My family have been faithful customers for a few years now, and Im proud to say it will continue!!

Honestly the best sushi place ive ever been to. My boyfriend first made me try sushi here and I fell in love, ive tried other places but nothing compares to asahi. Amazing rolls, super fresh and its quiet.

My favorite sushi spot! Food is always fresh, staff is extremely friendly and the restaurant is always clean. The lunch combo is a great deal. The pepper tuna tataki is my fav!
