I love Grand China Restaurant. Karen and Kennys restaurant has been my favorite Chinese restaurant in Lancaster County for about five years, since I first started eating there. The staff is friendly, the food is homemade and excellent, and, most importantly, they are not afraid to make your food as spicy as you want it! Before discovering Grand China in about 2007, I always tried to get General Tsos Chicken with 10 stars or extra spicy or whatever, and it seemed that the hotter I wanted it, the sweeter they restaurant made it - not Grand China, if you ask for "two times" spicy, be prepared, "four times" and be warned! Finally, all of the sauces are homemade when you eat in. There is a significant difference between the sauces that come out of a jar and what Kenny cooks up in the kitchen. I would also recommend trying the black bean sauce on the squid and the Sa Cha sauce on Chicken with Broccoli!

So we went here for my moms birthday and we had an absolutely great time! The food was great and service was pretty good. We ordered the House Special Soup which came in about 5 minutes. A little time later we were chowing down on our entrees (may I add the portions were well sized, not too big or too small). Our waitress was also splendid! She gave us an enjoyable time and was very kind to us. We were a little slow in ordering but she waited patiently and helped us. I would definitely recommend this place if you so happen to be in the area!

After reading these wonderful reviews, a group of us decided to get carry out. I have not a single clue in this world why these reviews are so good!! This plaace has the worse customer service, poor ideas of what a Chinese restaurant is, and the food is horrid. They got numerous things wrong on our initial order, persisted to argue saying we were lying. To top it all off, we all got sick!!! If you ever want the taste of real Chinese food....come to Michigan! Just sayen :)

Everyone that came in were regulars and love the place. My experience was fine, but not mire than average. My egg roll was no different than any store bought egg roll. My egg fu young was good, but not any better than any where else. Service was fine, leisurely. The regulars knew what drink they wanted and had favorites on the menu. Traveling alone is limiting and only allows minimum things to taste. I would not come back.

Grand China Restaurant had unique dishes that Ive never found in our area. I had the Pineapple Shrimp and it was delicious and there was enough that I had to take some home for later. The service was good and we were served quickly. The only negative comment I have was that the hexagon fish tank was cloudy and overcrowded. Live plants and fewer fish would have kept it much clearer and I do enjoy watching fish!

I read a lot of positive reviews and thought Id try it out. I swear I could smell pee where I was sitting and there may have been a bug in my duck sauce. The fried noodles were stale and the food was less than stellar in general. My egg roll tasted a little like the smell of wet dog. I had ordered the lunch special, but was charged for dinner. I also felt pretty ill later. Not going back.

I continue to love the food here for the past year! Been in Lancaster for 10 years. Not sure how I missed this place! Great food. Only change would be sweet and sour chicken... Order without onions. Chicken and broccoli is great. Not a "one sauce fits all" restaurant. To the guy who gave one star, China has real Chinese food... go there... now!

This place is Lancasters Best-Kept secret. They have the friendliest staff. The paintings along the wall are all done by one of the owners. But most of all, they have the most consistent, delicious Chinese in the area. I absolutely love their Wonton soup. Their noodles are fresh made and will go out of my way to get it. Highly recommended!

Great food great service great experience!!! I flip between the egg foo young and General Tsos chicken however there are things you just got to try on the menu like the hot and sour soup the Dragon Phoenix platter. The owners are there to greet you and the say goodbye to you. This is a great place to go for both lunch and dinner.

Jen is probably not used to real homemade Chinese food that is made by an actual cook, she probably likes the frozen mystery meet on toothpicks at the mall...oh well to each their own. This is the best Chinese restaurant in Lancaster...HANDS DOWN! Love it, and you will too!

We love coming here- for a total experience its great. In fact, when I have visitors from China, we always bring them to the Grand China. Few restaurants have as much heart and the food is consistently good. Many patrons are locals who have been coming for years.

The food is OK, not the greatest selection for vegetarians but the lo mein is my go to when here. The fried rice is a bit bland for my taste. The owners are friendly and happy to chat, when theyre not overwhelmed by a full house since theyre minimally staffed.

If no one has tried the salt and pepper squid youre missing out! Its excellent! The peony chicken is our other staple. Always consistent and fresh! Highly recommended when youre craving a good Asian meal
