I was craving a good burger, so I decided, why not Red Robin? First time eating here and heard a lot of good reviews and also the commercial lured me in to try it out. The restaurant is a mixture of retro and modern at the same time. Started off with the Reds Tavern Fries. The Reds Tavern Fries had that perfect consistency of cheese on top of it and the bacon was crispy and complimented the fries. I ordered the Royal Red Ribbon Burger and my friend ordered the Banzai Burger. I thought the egg on the Royal Red Ribbon Burger was a bit overwhelming, but both burgers was amazing!!! Didnt order dessert because we both got full off their unlimited fries. What I love the most besides the burgers and the fries was their unlimited refills for the Freckled Lemonade, which I didnt know at the time. The drink was heavenly especially with their sweet strawberries in it and the way the drink was held in was very interesting and had a modern vibe to it. Overall, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this place to those that are looking for good burgers and also fries. Prices in my opinion werent that, but they werent cheap though. Expect to spend a good average of $40, not including tip, on a two person meal for appetizers and a burger/ entree.

excellent is just a small thing to say about this place i was so impressed it has been a while since i went in there they do cater to kids and it was a little weird eating with all the little kids yelling and screaming but then again that is what this place caters too. I hate that the food is soooo good there and its not too many in hampton roads. i stay right by the beach and even though its not a bad drive to get there we being lazy americans like things just a little closer lol (sorry). I love the staff they were awesome! i cant say enough about this place. Even the one back in fayetteville,nc is good its duplicate all the way down the floor boards and the staff is a duplicate in customer service. I love it

Red Robin is always a family friendly choice with good burgers and this one was no exception. However, the service was very slow and the bathroom was a mess with paper towels falling out of the overflowing bin onto the floor. It wasnt busy, but our waitress also had a 15 top sat at just about the same time. So Ill give her some slack. Our food was cool by the time we got it and we had to really work to flag her down for drink refills. She was nice enough but all business and a very fast talker. Ill give it another chance but not anytime soon Im afraid. If youre super hungry, you might end up getting HANGRY waiting for your food. No one likes being hangry.

Second consecutive visit that my family and I received terrible service from the wait staff. We unfortunately had the same server and were seated in the same booth both visits. We were seated for 7 minutes and had multiple waitresses walk by us before I had to get up and get the attention of the manager. I expressed my dissapontment and complaint to him, he was very polite and helpful. Later, we received the bill and werent applied any type of discount for our troubles. The food was outstanding, restaurant was clean, service was garbage. Luckily this is the only Red Robin in the Hampton Roads area, so they will regretfully gain my future business.

My family and I got seated nice and quick. Waited 10 plus minutes and no one even acknowledged that we were here. Two other groups came in, got seated, and had their orders taken. We had to go up to the kitchen area to ask why we werent being served. After returning to our table, the incompetent manager came over and didnt even attempt to explain their reason for not serving us. Instead, he asked what the mix up was, insinuating that we were at fault as well. He then took the order and finally put it in. Mind you, there are tops 8 other parties here with at least 6 waiters. Why no one was doing their job, I have no idea.

First time to visit a Red Robin. The hostess stand was empty, after a few minutes wait we were greeted and led to a booth , we had to ask for a table, this should have been the first thing that they asked prior to seating. The food we started with an appetizer of spinach and artichoke dip presented very nicely but the chips were stale and there isnt enough and when they brought us the second batch they too were stale we still completed the dip the burgers were good enough to overlook the chips.. Our state is getting a Red Robin so we will try again..

Well, first of all, the best onion rings you will find in the Tidewater area, bar none. The sauces are so good I could practically drink them. Im at the Red Robin on Upton and Nimmo and Max The Host is hilarious and all the waitresses are incredibly nice. Ask for Melissa or Shannon! I had the Wedgie Burger with provolone cheese which was fabulous and all the food here, especially the shakes is super delicious. Im never unsatisfied when I leave this place. If you want great food at a decent price and good service, you will get it here. Yummy stuff!

Food was good, service not so much. My sons soda had no carbonation. When we told our waitress she then informed us the carbonation system was not working, this is something we should have been made aware of when ordering. After we finished our appetizer we waited for 30 minutes for our food. When we finally did get our food we noticed that groups who came in after us were finishing and leaving. The family at the table next to us had the same experience..same waitress.

They werent joking on the bottomless fries. It only took maybe 10 minutes for our meal to come out. But the fries just kept on coming. Great service. Always filled our drinks. They do charge for sweet potato fries when you use them to substitute for your steak fries but you can always switch back and forth. Its just 1.49 one time charge. Burgers we got was the 6.99 deal with fries. Not bad at all. Kids meals were crazy good. And yes their sides are bottomless too.

Not sure if our server even cared about her job. Disappeared constantly, arguing and had an attitude, rude, and we found her flirting with a greasy looking kitchen staff that needs a haircut on our way out. What is that?? Worst service (Amanda) weve ever had by far! Weve always heard good things about the place and today was our first chance. She put a bad taste in my mouth. Food was ok. But no thanks!

Great food. Waiter Josh Threw a temper tantrum when my wife had to ask for ranch a second time that he forgot. Manager doesnt understand the concept of bottomless fries nor does waiter. Waiter also did not understand the concept of refilling drinks which we had to ask for as well. Just expect to go to this establishment and eat great food, but have to ask for everything!

If youre on a Keto or Low Carb diet, Id recommend coming here for decent burgers served in a lettuce wrap. The menu even has a section that recommends alterations you can make to dishes. Service is a little slow (consistently), but not to the point that we dont want to return. It is noisy, so if you have a child with autism, this may be overwhelming.
