The first couple of times me and my family went there it was amazing and we rec amended it for everyone but now it has gone downhill from then on.My Uncle took us there for his wedding party and everyone was excited but then it got very disappointing very quickly.Starting off the lighting in the place was awful and it was so dark that no one could read there menus. The service was terrible it was like it was her fist day. She didnt know anything about the menus she didnt know much about the specials and only told selective that asked. She asked what we wanted to drink and i was the only person at the table that didnt get asked what i wanted. i guess she decided that i should have tap water. the drinks came in came in cans. then she came back and took orders from everyone except me. i dont know how she didnt notice me im the biggest guy at the table. some people at the table got cold food and some got hot food. The food is no longer tasting like the family owned home cooking that my family fell in love with. Now it tastes like they like generic Americanized Italian food. The food was flavorless and my moms pasta smelled like it was in rancid water for 3 days. To make the end of the night worse we were rushed out of there and we were the only people in the restaurant. now we are looking for a new place to eat for Italian food

We just moved back to the Beach after living in Sicily for the past three years. Pros: Wait staff was polite and continued to check on us keeping the glasses filled with water. The pear and Gorgonzola was good but the sauce was not. It would be much better in a cream sauce with some walnuts in it. The house wine was good (but very expensive for 1/2 liter). The gnocchi was decent. The bread and Gelato was good. Cons: Friday night at 6 oclock in the evening. The place was literally deserted. This was an indicator. The prices were out of this world expensive. Around 20$ for pasta dishes... The empty dining might be a direct result of the prices alone. If a person wanted to eat a traditional Italian meal with and appetizer, pasta and a meat, the price would be over 60$ a person not counting drinks. Point is. If you cut the pasta dish price in half and it attracts a few more customers, then overall, your daily $$ intake might be more. Wife had a traditional Sicilian pasta with eggplant and tomato. She said the sauce was off. It came with fresh ricotta cheese on top vs. aged and shredded ricotta. She made the cardinal sin of putting salt in the dish and that did not help.

To those who spoke badly about this restaurant, my husband and I say to you: We have been to Italy: Rome, Naples, Pisa and Florence, Bari and Brendisi, Catania; and my husband has been to Trieste and Venice, Paterno as well. We have dined in some of the finest restaurants including restaurants such: as Ciro (Number 2,111 of 2,358 restaurants in Naples) and ZI Teresa ( Number 341 of 2,358 restaurants in Naples). Perhaps your idea of good Italian food is Olive Garden, Carrabas or Pizza Hut -- good as they but they are NOWHERE NEAR THE QUALITY OF THE FOOD SERVED AT LA BELLA ITALIA, and their waiters, hostesses, chefs and bartenders ARE HEAD AND SHOULDERS ABOVE THE COMPETITION. We dined there for VALENTINES DAY and based on a comment by the manager on duty to me that evening. "ONLY ONE PERSON DIDNT ENJOY HIS MEAL-- Risotto perhaps because they didnt know what it was. If so many people think La Bella Italia is bad, why then was there still a line of customers coming in at 8:00PM to dine?

We left home at 6:55 to run out to a close by place for a salad….Ordered two glasses of water and two salads with salmon…..that was at 7:10…At 7:35 the waitress apologized for the delay by saying everyone came in at once! There were perhaps 12 others in the restaurant so we thought oh, they must have already eaten and left…not crowded! Then at 7:55 she said our food would be right out….we thanked her and kept waiting…finally we looked at each other at 8:10….motioned another waitress to come by so we could tell her it has been one hour since we ordered….we want to cancel the order…she said, “let me get the manager”…manager did not come out….waitress said “she is really busy”…We walked out! …Well, we won’t be going back to LaBella Pasta Italia anytime soon!

Pizza was good but the rest of the food was horrible. It was clear that the food was not made fresh or cooked well. The chicken was frozen, the lasagna was soggy, and the sauce on the spaghetti looked like it came from a can and was very watery. We went during the end of lunch so there were only two other tables that already had their food. We expected service to be fast, but what a mistake. It took over forty-five minutes to get our food and we were the only ones there. To top it off our server was not the best. The price was cheap, but we got what we paid for. I would only recommend the pizza for take out, but nothing else.

I never rate things, but seriously this was the worst Italian food I have ever had. The water my boyfriend had came straight out of the tap, we watched him pour it. The lettuce from my salad came out of a tupperware bowl sitting out on the counter of the bar. And as vulgar as this sounds...my boyfriends soup smelled like semen and looked just as disgusting. It was FOUL. The waiter didnt ask how anything tasted, he gave us our food, then took our plates, and gave us the bill. Think he was busy? Nope.We were the only people in the place. I wonder why.

The first meal I ordered there was a takeout order, which was not good. I called the manager and spoke to Victor, he gave us credit for future meal. I called a couple weeks later for another takeout I ordered the Pizza Blanca Con Spinach, Pizza Capriccious, pasta, and tiramisu and a cannoli. Everything was outstanding the pizzas were made in a wood burning oven. Outrageous!!!! We will be back. I called the manager back the next day and told him how delicious everything was! Thank you Victor! Karen

where it ends. The food quality likened to that of an Olive Garden with the sauce being just above caned. The service was average American focusing on turning tables. Drinks were served from a can similar to lower level establishments in Italy. Bread was served before the meal not as an enhancement however for those that like bread with a hard crust, here is the place for you. They have a vegan selection. The dishes across the menu are @ $15.

Having lived in Italy for five years I am always on the lookout for good Italian food. I think I found it at La Bella Italia, not only was the food excellent and authentic, but the service was top notch. Our waiter seemed to go the extra mile to make sure we were happy and enjoyed our meal. I would highly recommend La Bella Italia to anyone looking for good, kid friendly atomosphere, great service, and authentic Italian food.
