I dont think Ill ever eat here again just because of the horrible service experience. My server was brisk and border line rude, not checking our table until she dropped off the check during the middle of our meal. She didnt even wait for us to be close to done before she dropped off the check and subsequently checked on us every 5 minutes asking us if we were okay while eyeing the check on the table. The first two times she came over after the check she kept repeating "you can pay me when youre ready"... I would have appreciated being able to actually eat my meal without her hovering around the check. I noticed another table of hers that was there before us got their check after I did and she waited until their plates were clear, she was also nicer to the individual behind us even asking if he wanted one of the specialty juices (free if she didnt offer as was mentioned on the menu which she never asked me but I just wanted a coffee and water for my kids so didnt mind). She also forgot my creamer for my coffee and after I asked dumped a handful of creamers off at the table and walked off with no eye contact no, "do you need anything else?" Absolutely nothing, and I needed napkins and ketchup but had to wait until she decided to wander back to give her half-assed questions...one common denominator with the better service was her other tables spoke Spanish and I didnt and being a Hispanic woman who only speaks Spanish Im used to the snide looks of other Spanish speakers when they realize I dont speak it I just never expected it to effect my service which is very unfortunate. At least I have the name of the server on my receipt so if I ever do go back Ill just request not being put in her area and well see if the other servers have better attitudes. Worst experience I have ever had anywhere...

Me and my family went to this Ihop in Stafford, VA. It took us about an hr to get our food after ording. Two groups of people came in after us. They ate and was leaving before our food came out. When I asked why they got their food first the waiter said, " because they had less food it made more since to make their food first.It was only My husband, toddler son, and I (and we were starving). They were not busy at all. And I hate to say it , but the two groups was Caucasian ( maybe it was an coincidence). The waiter also for some reason, told us that instead of us popping bottles that we was popping orange juice (bc we got a pitcher of Orange juice). We dont pop bottles, So I dont know what gave him that idea. Also the amount for our original bill was about $20 dollars with the orange juice, and my sons food was free bc it was Tuesday. But some how bc we got onions, bananas, and tomatoes added on our meal came up to almost $20 more. When we was checking out i asked to speak to a manager. It took her a while to come to the front. Then when she came she said hi and started doing something on the register. She didnt bother to ask me what happened. So i started telling her what happened, and she didnt act as if it bothered her. She apologized and said I took 20% off your meal. I told her it wasnt about the money. and that they needed to make better decisions, Because if it happend to someone else Im sure they wouldnt be happy also. I have to say that this is probably one of the worst experiences I have had at a restaurant. I will not be going back. And by the looks of some of these other reviews, I think others feel the same way. Upper Management needs to see these reviews.

If I couldve given it a no star I wouldve ..but theres no choice for that....let me first start off...I understand when youre training a new person...that it makes it hard to do your job..but you have to be patient with them and you have to overlook everything they do to make sure that the orders are done correctly. With this said...our orders were taken good...we were the only family of 5 in the square section to the right of the restaurant...we waited more then 30 minutes for our food...in the meantime our section was packed..the manager took care of the 4 families that came in....well the training person forgot about us..and the one that was training her looked over our table and ran to the kitchen to get our food....they both came back with our food....all were cold...one order had bacon instead of sausage...the other had waffles instead of pancakes..my poor kids had to eat what they didnt want because I was not going to sit another 30 minutes to wait for food. Also..they served my son a piece of scrambled egg..while my daughter had a huge piece of scrambled egg...and they both had the same order...anyways...they came back to check on us twice....on the third time they asked if we wanted more drinks...when my husband said no...the lady was anxious to give us the receipt...abdndnywaysnd she pulled it out...mind you...we just got our food...everything was cold..so we got them to go....abdndnywaysnd ND brought it home for our dog..who enjoyed it more than us. Thanks IHOP for the worst experience this morning...train your new serves to pay attention to the food coming out the kitchen.

If Ihop today did not want to honor the anniversary/pancake special, then they would have done better just not participating. By the end of the day from 5-7pm, the service was so slow that only a small percentage of folks that arrived were able to truly participate. On top of that only 50% of the restaurant was seated due to lack of help. I understand that good help is hard to find, but this was a day that this company knew was coming and they know that it is a high volume day. I feel bad because many of our stafford residents had an overall bad experience. My kids really wanted pancakes but did not get that opportunity. We waited 35 minutes and missed the 7pm deadline. Whether a pancake special was $.59 or $4.00 - no one wants to wait 30 minutes for a drink or a food order and then wait another 30 minutes for food. I walked out while waiting and watching the 5th customer at the register come out fuming due to slow service. This was a great disappointment. I also understand servers may not enjoy serving customers low cost food due and getting smaller than average tips on top of working harder than normal but it was 1 day, I know that other Ihops presented a different experience for their customers and likely made a decent profit due to turn over and folks that come for more than just the special.

My children and I stopped in for breakfast on last Friday, August 11th. Once we came in, the hostess took about five minutes to seat us. It was not even busy. She asks, how many, with a snotty attitude. She grabs three adult menus, clearly seeing I had my kids with me. She sits us at a table with three chairs, doesnt bother to offer two kids menus, which should have been done in the first place, then walks away. Doesnt even say, your server will be with you shortly, nothing, just walks away. The server comes over, doesnt bother to say her name nor has any silverware with her. I had to ask three times for silverware. The coffee was terrible. I asked for creamer and she dumps a bunch on the table and walks off. She also drops the check on the table while we are eating! Seriously??? To top it all off, the table and chairs were dirty with food still on them. I had to take several antibacterial wipes and clean them myself. Overall the experience was nauseating and disappointing. We will never go this location again!!! Well take our buisness to Bob Evans.
