In my opinion, the menu offers a good amount of variety. They make a number of different dishes - making it easy for everyone to find something theyd like - but the menu isnt so big that you wonder how there can be much quality or attention to detail in any of the food. There are sandwiches, burgers, hot dogs, salads, pizzas, and an assortment of entrees to choose from. The pizza took the prize as the favorite dish at the table. The pizza was topped with pepperoni, sausage, olives, mushrooms, and onions and it was cooked in a brick oven. The crust had that great, crispy flavor that comes from a brick oven and the toppings tasted delicious. It was the type of pizza you know you should stop eating because your full, but you cant because it tastes too good to stop. Im thinking Fork in the Alley can make a strong claim for having the best pizza in Roanoke. Im not sure Ive found any better.

April 2014: 4 stars overall Anything above 20 in the zagat scoring system is good. Not many places get above 24. Food: 21/30 Ambience: 22/30 Decor: 22/30 Great little place tucked in an alley next to 7/11, great for lunch, street parking only, nice patio and large heated open-aired / curtained seating area with mainly circle tables metal / faux wicker chairs. Recommend dishes: spinach+artichoke "bruchetta" which is more like doctored-up Texas toast with amazing cheese topping that you add yourself. Good pizza. The 3-fork chili is unique and great when hungry but to improve it, I would reduce the amount of dry-salted seasoning and increase the amount of fresh ingredients. Will definitely be back multiple times to check out the beer / bar.

Nice looking place. But I went in and asked for the manager. A big , dark haired unfriendly girl grilled me at the door as to why. She said that they have managers on duty all the time but the manager was not there. I said I wanted to ask about work. Her response, in front of a table was. Were not hiring. I was so mortified by her rude and mean demeanor that Ill NEVER EAT THERE. If shes the best waitress they can get, then there are many other places with professional servers where Ill be eating that will be pleasant. And Id never work there if that mean person works there. Just un-called for unfriendliness.

We were so glad when we discovered this place over a year ago! We came on the recommendation of others, and were so glad that we did. The food is surprisingly good! I love the Inferno Burger, and their specially pizzas are fantastic. The service has always been exceptional as well. The atmosphere in the pub area is great, and they have outside dining as well. This has become one of my favorite places to eat!

This place was great! We were just staying in town 1 night and my wife stumbled across it... Really glad she did. Very unique setup in the old carriage house with indoor and outdoor seating. The food was fantastic and the value was great. We tried a few of their specialty hot dogs and the fried green beans. Great staff, cool atmosphere. If we are ever in Roanoke again we will be back here.

The waitress really made us feel rushed and as if she was doing us a favor. It was one of the worst experiences myself and my wife have had. We were first timers and nothing was explained to us. Our bill was much higher b/c I was not explained the charges. Every single soft drink tasted flat. The water is also bad. Just a terrible experience basically b/c of who was serving us.

Went on sunday. Not busy. Server had attitude, and didnt refill drinks. Didnt put Coleslaw on wrap that already came on it. Could tell server b/c she was no where to be found. When I dId tell her when we wher paying she just said ow ok. Nothing else. Homemade ranch sucked. Husband and I will never go back.

Ive been several times with friends and family. Ive always felt their food is hurriedly made and the time you wait isnt worth the food you receive. Went today, found part of a latex glove in my food. Confirmed my feelings on the place. They were very apologetic about it, but dont think Ill be going back.

We were recommended this place from our NICU nurse while we are staying at the Ronald McDonald house, away from our home in North Carolina. The food is phenomenal, the place is fantastic, and the atmosphere is outstanding! We love wanting to visit local eats, and this is definitely the place to go to!

Bit small and slight hole in the wall-esque. Most of the staff was friendly. Went here for lunch. Ordered a Reuben with fries. Used slice pastrami instead of corned beef, but its a decent sandwich. Good flavor. Fries with seasoning are very good and crisp. Will return here when I visit Roanoke.

Food was really good and the atmosphere seemed nice for a chill place to get a drink and a meal (which we did). The beer selection was disappointing though. A couple of craft beer selections, but not as many or as quality as I would like. Food was very good and overall dinner was a good value.

Delicious Brick oven Pizzas!! Also love the hotdog menu, be sure to try the Cheese Slaw! A place where you can listen to live music on occasion, catch a game on one of the many televisions, or enjoy the large patio with friends near the outdoor fireplace. Great spot with friendly staff.

Its hit or miss, the food is on point but last time my friends and I came for dinner our waitress was overly attentive not in a good way. She made us feel rushed and that she wanted us to leave, maybe that wasnt her intention she may have had a bad day. We will be back regardless.

Perfect neighborhood watering hole. FITA has great pizza, dogs and burgers and now with the outside grill some really tasty creations that hit the spot with great beer. (Or pickle juice shots if thats your thing.) The waitstaff and bartenders are great too!

Best Pizza in the world. My wife maintains to this day that the Athenos pizza is the best pizza shes ever had, and every time Ive been here I got this pizza, because its the best. We are considering moving to Roanoke because of how awesome this place is.

Great local eat, especially if you get the chance to go on a nice day and spend it out on their patio. The pizza is really good, and its a good choice to split when going out as a group (or for yourself, when youre in a treatyoself mood)

My wife and I love this place. Great food for a great price. The service isnt bad and its a pretty cool environment. Anything cooked in the wood fire oven tastes awesome. Only bad thing is trying to find parking.

Great food, great service, and good bar type atmosphere at night. The only downside is that the inside is very small in the winter, in the summer the patio is open and there is much more room to spread out.

Do not forget to use somebody else Id when your workers are out of work. The doctors are trained in this area to let more than one person in the chart. This is a good day. Best Wishes Bonita
