This place is overpriced and they skimp on the portions too. I hate to say it but after having lived in San Francisco for 20 years where they have REAL MISSION (SUPER) BURRITOS that are AUTHENTIC and to you uninformed people out there in Roanoke the fact is Mission ( aka Super) Burritos are a San Francisco tradition invented by Taqueria La Cumbre at 515 Valencia St at 16th St which are made like this: The basic ingredients of the Mission burrito include the large flour tortilla, Spanish rice, beans (frijoles, usually with a choice of refried, pinto or black), a choice of a single main filling, and the customers choice of salsa, ranging from hot to mild. Most taquerias also offer a "super" burrito which includes a choice of meat and all of the available non-meat burrito ingredients. This usually includes sliced fresh avocado or guacamole, cheese (queso), and sour cream (crema). For meat fillings, almost all San Francisco taquerias offer a choice of stewed or grilled chicken (pollo or pollo asado), grilled beef steak (carne asada), barbecued pork (al pastor) and braised shredded pork (carnitas); many also offer additional ingredients, including pork stewed in green chile sauce (chile verde), beef stewed in red chile sauce (chile colorado), Mexican sausage (chorizo), beef tongue (lengua), stewed and shredded beef (machaca), stewed beef head (cabeza), beef brain (sesos), beef eyeball (ojo) and shrimp (camarones). Many taquerias also offer vegetable or tofu fillings to accommodate their vegetarian customers. Other fillings offered in San Francisco taquerias include birria (goat meat), camarones diablos (extra-spicy shrimp), carne deshebrada (shredded beef with red chile sauce), carne molida (ground beef), chicharrónes (fried pork rinds, stewed), barbacoa (marinated lamb, sometimes pork is substituted), pescado (fish, usually fried or grilled tilapia and sometimes salmon), picadillo (ground beef with chopped chiles and tomatoes), mole (chicken stewed in a chile and chocolate sauce), nopales (prickly pear cactus), and tripas (beef tripe). Many SF taquerias also provide corn tortilla chips to accompany the burrito as a side dish, along with free salsa. Now go to SF and take some lessons Chipolte management and employees!!!

This Chipotle was better than most that Ive eaten in. It may sound like American elitism, but I found it very helpful that all of the employees at this location spoke English as a first language. Thats rarely the case at the Chipotles where I live. The staff must have been rotated since previous reviews, because every employee behind the counter during my visit was focused completely on the job at hand. Where I live, Ive learned to tell them each ingredient as they get to it, because they never remember, despite asking me specifically at the start of my order ("What kind of burrito do you want? Okay, what kind of meat?") The young man making my burrito (I didnt catch his name, so I cant cant give him the credit he deserves) was very attentive and 100% on top of things. Not only did he ask me what kind of rice, beans, and meat I wanted, but he was able to remember each item as he got to them. A far cry from my hometown where they forget the meat in the time it takes for the bread to warm. One thing Ive always liked about the Chipotle Franchise is that you can get your order made the way the want it. If you feel like theyve skimped on your portion, then its your own fault. Theyve always given me as much (or as little) as I ask for. I understand the human compulsion to leave reviews mainly for bad experiences, but I feel like its my duty to point out that this Chipotle location wasnt even remotely the horror story some of the existing reviews made it out to be. Maybe this location isnt so great, and Im just used to dealing with worse? All I know is that I look forward to eating here again if I ever find myself back in Roanoke.

As an employee at chipotle I can honestly say you don't want to eat here. I've seen fellow employees picking up trash and change off of the floor and continue to serve food with the same gloves! I've see the dish water changed out once. So when dishes are pulled from the sanitizer, they're still dirty! The use the rags for the baine on everything! I had to use the same rag to clean the bathrooms. In which they have no bathroom cleaner, they use windex and theres no toilet brush. I've seen employees eating food on the line, even the cashier eating while ringing people out. I've only been to chipotle once in another state, but this can't be how it's run. Employees carrying on conversations about vulgar and nasty things instead of waiting on the customers. And the sexual innuendos are beyond innaporiate and awkward. Especially coming from a manager! As an employee, telling people to not eat there means there is clearly problem that needs to be fix!!!!

I had heard soo much about this place but when I went to try it I wasnt impressed. I actually left annoyed! The first thing that i didnt like was the staff. This little girl named Jordan kept talking about cartoons & pokemon to one of her co-workers while taking my order. When she finally realized I was getting annoyed she turned to me and claimed she was listening- but when asked what my order was she asked if i could repeat it. I got very annoyed with this little girl. After finally getting my tacos ordered and sitting down to eat, the same little girl comes up and says i forgot my receipt. I shooed her away and told her i didnt want the thing. (I didnt want to have to look at how overpriced the stuff was again) The food was not that good and definitely not worth the price. Overall, i was annoyed and unhappy with my experience here. I dont see what the commotion is about...

Probably the worst Chipotle Ive been to. Its clean enough, and is a fairly new store, its just not a great experience with the people working, they always give off a "new hire" vibe. Also, Chipotle in general is fairly stingy with anything extra like guacamole, which even if you pay extra, they barely give you any of. Chips and salsa are separate, so if you want a regular burrito with chips, its going to run you nearly $10, and with a drink, $10+. The food is fine, it tastes like any Chipotle, so if youve been, you know what to expect. This location is usually packed, and hard to find a seat even in the summer with the patio open.

This is the only place I will eat fast food. I am a big fan of Chipotle, but I also have to say that compared to other locations, and compared to when it opened, Roanoke skimps on the portion sizes. It used to happen infrequently, but lately portion sizes have declined at this location. I get the same thing everywhere I go: a bowl with only double meat, salsa, guacamole, and lettuce. Thats it. If Im paying $1.80 for guac, dont scrape most of it off of the spoon. If I ask for double meat, and you are charging me for it, dont make each portion smaller so I end up with 1.5x meat. Im saving the place money on toppings as it is.

Like the 2016 election discourse, every time you think it cant get any worse, it does. Such is the case here for this Chipotle location. Today, this Chipotle ran out of flour tortillas for both burritos and tacos. Further, it ran out of black beans. Seriously, tortillas??? Thats like running out of horses at a rodeo. Consistently, this is the most poorly managed and operated Chipotle that I have ever experienced, and I have eaten at about 30 different Chipotles over the last 10 years. They operate at a deficiency in just about every aspect. Take my advice and avoid this one.
