Was an employee who worked during the day, tried to be very helpful and change some of the bad reviews but thanks to the general manager Thomas whose been riding around for almost a year now with that expired inspection sticker, Ive been terminated due to not allowing a male cook disrespect me just because I wanted to make sure my customers good was correct upon serving it to the table... I really like some of my coworkers we were like family, but I say Thomas needs to be replaced, and Deja needs a promotion she tries her best and he offers her no help.... Ive never had a write up, or been suspended and one incident an the final answer was termination. Thomas was my boss an did not even know who I was, did not even try to figure out the situation, I was one of the good servers with a family trying to survive, I remember walking through a flood just to make sure there was a server there in inclement weather. So for him to care about your reviews will probably be as much as he cares about getting a valid inspection sticker.... former employee

The food is good and the staff is friendly. BUT EVERY TIME we order carryout from here, something in our order is incorrect or lacking. Weve gotten home with the order and had to call back t complain. We have spoken to the manager multiple times. He offers to replace it if we return to the restaurant (well thats another 30 min, youre hungry, your family is ready to eat & your other food is getting colder). So, you decline and he tells you hell replace it at a later date, just let the cashier know when we place our order. Thats a good resolution but 98% of the time? Thats poor business. Why doesnt this manager recognize these issues with his kitchen staff. Also, we have seen the manager cooking & running the store on numerous occasions. Perhaps they are always short staffed? Anyway, we now check our bags prior to exiting the restaurant. But how do you check to see if all of the ingredients are in your omelette or salad? You will not know that until you begin to eat your meal.

When a waitress finally came she took our orders for something to drink and said she would be right back, ten minutes later a different waitress came and took our orders. When I got my soup it was cold so I sent it back, them when my food came the mashed potatoes were literally cold, so I signaled for the waitress to come over and I scooped some of the potatoes up on the spoon and let her feel the temperature and this is what she said " eww, Im sorry I dont no what happened with that", she sent the manager over and he said ok, what do you want me to do and I said bring me some hot soup and mashed potatoes, I remind you that the mashed potatoes were the only cold thing on the plate. The manager took my whole plate to the kitchen and someone warmed it up in the the microwave and the chicken looked to shades darker. And I said I dont want this and before I could finish saying I would like my food cooked over fresh, he snatched the plate up and said "ok" and walked away. Smh....

Me and my husband went here last nigh/this morning and it was horrible. First we werent greeted as we walked in and was no host or hostess to seat us. It looked like they had only 1 waitress and another lady who she called "mom". It took them at least 20 mins to even come and take our order and give us drinks. Another 45 mins to bring us our food which was decent except for the fact that instead of the extra butter I asked for, I was given sour cream! Which made my grits very disgusting. Also we never even got the chance to eat our pancakes since we were never brought the syrup that we had been asking for for the past hour. Needless to say I made sure I was not charged for the grits and pancakes we couldnt eat and I highly doubt Ill be eating at this IHOP ever again.

I used to eat here 3x a week. I am seriously considering not returning. The past several times I have been here I was seated, then proceeded to wait for coffee (a problem, as I like to wait for my coffee), for my order to be taken (not a big problem as I was reading my newspaper), However, from the time my order was taken to the time my meal arrived was 45 - 60 minutes. THAT is unacceptable, but has become the norm at this specific restaurant. Delays and incomplete orders ( pancakes 15 minutes after the omelet for example). Until this unit gets new staff, I think Ill avoid it. We have other choices in the area... some Family Owned / Operated options... This unit cannot operate this way and survive! Great location for me... but not acceptable service.

Food took a little longer than expected to get to us but we didnt even have to ask about it, our server was kind enough to come over all on her own and tell us how slow the cook was. Once we got it the food was fantastic onion rings were extra hard because you know, I love eating rocks. Quesadilla was amazing! Like a greasy veggie wrap, and i can only imagine how it would be if i wasnt a vegetarian. I imagine they would use deli sliced chicken and really isnt that the best kind? Service was fabulous we got to relive the deliciousness of our food after we ate it by looking at our empty plates, and we didnt even have to use the bathroom before we left since our drinks were never refilled. All in all a very enlightening experience.

Going to IHOP you expect to be 30 to 45 minutes on getting your food but when you wait 30 or 45 minutes to place your order and then your food comes back wrong there is really a problem me and my girlfriend went to IHOP over the weekend the waitress bought my girlfriend silverware it was wrapped up in a napkin with the little napkin holder around and the knife still had grits on it I dont know whether the waitress picked up the wrong plate but I asked for my eggs to be scrambled and she brings me back eggs with cheese and my pancakes were hard hash brown was cold the hottest thing on my plate was my coffee whenever I am in PortsMouth again I never have to worry about me eating there ever again

Terrible experience, went in on a weekday, the restaurant was not busy. We were greeted by the same gentlemen that served us. He sat us next to a dirty table and the carpet was nasty it even smelled horrible. Let me remind you, we were 1 of 3 guest in the whole building, so we could not understand why any of the tables were dirty and the floor had trash on it. The female waitress sneakily played on her phone and in her hair. When someone walks into a restaurant appearance means a lot and makes me question how clean the cooks and kitchen were. The manager on duty did not see her once although we asked where she was. Its a shame people do not take enough respect into their jobs.
