I have eaten at Hong Kong Newport News, Va. For 20+years. I will not eat at ANY other Chinese restaurant. Just got home with my Pepper Steak, and just finished 1/2 of my large meal,delicious, as always. I eat other things, and NOTHING has ever been a Bad meal!! Fresh, good portions and always cooked to serve. Great place to eat, & I eat there several times a month!! Only place I will eat in area!!!

PROS: Very good food. Some of the best Ive had and Ive eaten Chinese Food across the country. Huge portions, not a lot of money. Very courteous both on the phone and in person. Will definitely order here when back in Newport News! CONS: Place looked clean but a bit old and drabby. However, it IS a takeout restaurant. No other complaints from me.

I dont know whos writing these reviews, but this place is the most average chinese takeout place Ive ever been to. Food was nothing special. Bathroom was dirty, toilet wouldnt flush, and the lights flickered so badly I had to keep my eyes shut most of the time.

Love his place, great food, fast service, friendly staff and always a correct order. Shrimp fried rice, general taos, egg rolls and crab ragoon are my favorite dishes here. By far the best place in newport news.

BEST deal in town for chinese food. Order off the "Family meal" for the best value. 4 different dinners for $20. General Tsos really good here along with Chicken or Beef with broccoli.

Delicious! The home made bean curd dish is wonderful and theyve already grown accustomed to me ordering it. ;) They also do substitutions easily and with a smile for vegetarians.

I travel around the country and eat at many restaurants. ONE OF THE BEST MOO SHU PORKS I HAVE EVER EATING. I will definitely be stopping next time Im in town.
