I had lunch there today with a friend. The waiter, who was either new or non-caring as to the job that he has, was terrible. The place was empty, only one other table had people at it. This waiter botched our orders, we ordered food that never reached the table because he didnt take the order down properly, he never came back to ask us if everything was ok; when he was walking past us (one of the times) I asked for water, twenty minutes later after he walked past us several times, I finally got up and went to the bar to get some water. The waiter never apologized for his terrible service, or bad attitude. I have been to this place a few times before, and have never had such an experience in being treated so poorly. Strike one for Tokyo.

I ordered from this place based on the reviews here but I was really disappointed. I have been to many sushi places in the past as sushi is one of my favorite food and I can say with confidence (not meant to be negative but just fair) that the sushi in this place is not good AT ALL, it does not taste good, it is not fresh and really does not take more than few bites to tell that it is very low scale sushi (the same type of sushi you may get from the gas station maybe and save your money). Though we did not eat in but the place it self looked neat and clean but I think they need to find new sushi chef or what ever the problem is.

Their lunch deal is really fantastic--salad, two rolls, and a huge helping of miso soup for $10. Their sushi isnt super amazing quality but it is pretty good for Ithaca. I usually order ahead of time and pick up food but today I was passing by so I dropped in and ordered to-go, and the server gave me hot tea and talked to me while I waited for my order. This place deserves more business than it seems to get, I would recommend it if you live nearby .

Once you enter the beautiful building adorned with Asian artwork and ceramics, youre greeted by a friendly table waiter. The hibachi is a fun show, average compared other similar restaurants. The food taste great though, and is cooked in front you! Id return, but check other options first.

Not sure how these other reviewers thought this was a good place. The sushi was barely acceptable, the salad was unedible and we didnt finish what we ordered. Over charge and under deliver should be their motto. A notch below what they roll in the grocery store.

This is the cooleeeest place to have dinner in Ithaca, especially if you are going for hibachi table. The decorations are perfect. I was there two days ago and the waitress are so friendly. The sushi is the BEST in Ithaca!!!LOVE THIS PLACE!

Very friendly staff, great ambiance and delicious food. Explained menu options well and were very accommodating with our toddler. It would be a great date place. The mood is upscale but not at all stuffy. Overall highly recommended.

This is, by far, the best value for your money out of a sushi place that Ive tried, which also delivers. Completely satisfied, beats out competing sushi restaurants in Collegetown area of Ithaca, which were supposedly nearer to me.

Staff are very friendly and the food is delicious. Hands down best sushi spot in the neighborhood. Do yourself a favor and try their Hibachi, you wont regret it. Everything is fresh and tasty!
