I usually do not take the time to review a chain restaurant, but I am making an exception here, because I feel this is an exceptional restaurant. My husband and I ate dinner here on 12/29/16. We were both off work for the week between Christmas and New Years and were out running errands when we decided to stop at Olive Garden for a pasta fix. It was only about 5:30 pm, so we were surprised when we had to wait for a table. It was a short wait and the staff registering guests were very pleasant. Our server was "Jenny" -- a delightful young woman who, even though she appeared to have the responsibility of a large number of tables (including a large table with a party of 12), handled the service flawlessly. She was attententive without hovering and was quick to refill beverages. In addition, the food was outstanding. I had Chicken and Shrimp Carbonera and my husband had Chicken Marsala with a side of pasta with meat sauce. The food was piping hot, perfectly seasoned, and the portions were huge. I was in heaven with the endless salad and bread sticks. The price of our dinners was very reasonable. So many of the independent Italian restaurants in the Northern Virginia area charge similar prices for equivalent meals, but do not include a salad. It makes no sense to expect your customers to pay an extra $5 or $6 for a side salad. To me, a pasta dish with no salad is not a balanced meal. Olive Garden gives a great value for your dollar with their yummy food. In addition,we felt that this restaurant was very well run, with a real sense of "team" amongst the co-workers. They all seemed to be more than happy to help each other out when a team member got overly busy. The manager on duty was very visible helping out her employees as well. The success of a well-run establishment comes from the top and this restaurant was an excellent example of that!

I ordered from here yesterday for my office staff. I called in an order. the first disappointment is. My employees ordered two things from the online menu & when I spoke to the gentleman on the phone he told me they did not have either of the items on the menu ( they need to update there online menu ) .once I was finished placing the order and wanted to pay over the phone the man told me they did not except card over the phone( something he should have told me before I ordered). so we had to fill out a form and fax it to them which i thought was ridiculous. the togo girl ran everything past me on the order form which was correct but once we got to the office. we had the wrong order and the food was soggy & gross. I ordered a shrimp scampi which I did not get. My doctor had the chicken scampi which it looked like they just placed chunks of chicken & shrimp on top of the noodles with no sauce. WE WERE NOT SATISFIED at all!!! I tipped the to go girl $20 and wish I never did because this was the absolute worst experience ever. will not return or at least never do a togo order with this restaurant again

I spent all day at the doctor with my sick child. So I ordered online and the instructions say park in the park and go space and someone will help you with your order. Any other place I have ordered from with the same set up brings the food to your car. After 15 minutes above the scheduled pick up time, I call in and told I have to come in. I explain my child is sick and the information online does not say I need to come in. Everything was paid for online. I get off the phone and prepare to get the baby out the car and realize that would not work for her. So I call back to request a cancellation. The employee proceeds to tell the manager and an exception is made. When she comes to my car I show her the language on the site and how its misleading. This employee had a very nasty attitude and offered no apologies for the misunderstanding. I know this person is not a representative of all Olive Gardens but that experience was definitely unacceptable and I dont plan on going back to that location.

Wait time: Not at all on saturday night (which is good, but now i am wondering there is a reason) Server Attitude: Rude and angry. There is a reason people go to restaurant as they want nice and welcoming treatment. Guy (i know the name, but dont want to take any actions against him) who was serving our food acted like he is paying for us. He never smiled at our group. We have asked few items, which he totally forgot and preferred not to bring after reminding him couple of times. Even he ignored our Olive Garden unlimited Salad request. Food: Love it. So i will keep visiting Olive Garden, but some other location (Fairfax, tysons or Sterling)

Just ordered the buy one take one special for a limited time on a take out order and the portion is ridiculously small compared to what you get when you dine in and order. I called the manager after I got home and saw how small it was and he basically mumbled something along the lines to me like "its preportioned and its the same as what you get on your plate when you come in and eat".......I said ok man whatever thanks and he just hung up and didnt even say youre welcome or Im sorry or even goodbye! I love the food there but damn now Im pretty irritated......

Today, I ordered online a lasagna fritta and a minestrone soup. I asked for my lasagna fritta to have alot of cheese since last time I ordered it had little cheese. This time when I went, there was this young lady who was very friendly and kind. I saw on my receipt that her name was Francisca C. She told me that she personally asked the kitchen to add more cheese on my lasagna fritta. She was wonderful and she even gave me chocolate mints. Thumbs up to her! Thank you Olive Garden.

Place is a joke. No wait time to sit down, sat down and waited 20 minutes for waiter/waitress, nothing. Got up and told hostess I wanted a new table. Waited another 10 minutes then sat at a new table. Waited another 20 minutes for a waiter/waitress. Nothing, no drink orders, menus, nothing. Finally got up to leave and was hoping to see the manager. Couldnt find him, then spotted him smoking across the parking lot next to his car. Total joke, dont waste your time here.

YO my boyfriend and I ate here together and we left literally peeing out of our buttholes. Food poisoning to the max it was awful. Idk if it was just us or what but we both got separate meals, the only thing I could think of was the salad they made for us had listeria on it, the veggies werent clean, the dressing, something!! BEWARE OF THE SALAD and just dont eat here. if you want great Italian food, go to Macaroni Grill asap!

You know, its easy to give Olive Garden crap for being a chain restaurant, but I really enjoyed my meal there recently. The salad and bread sticks are so delicious I almost didnt need to order an entree, but the chicken parmesan was really very good. I realize that chicken parm is so simple and "not fancy", but at the end of the day I was full and happy, and the total bill was very small compared to other places.
