If you get the chance to visit Carpool in Herndon, VA....DONT! I had the worst bar experience there this past weekend. Friends we were visiting had been there before and liked it so they took us for games and drinks. None of us will be back after our recent experience. The tan, tall, meat head bartender(I think named, David) was beyond rude, arrogant, and belligerent. He was the only bartender we dealt with that night, unfortunately. This bartender was such a nasty human being, I cannot even put it into words. The manager was not much better. On top of those two I sucked a chunk of black mold into my mouth through my water straw. They obviously arent worried about everyday cleaning procedures at this Carpool. When my BF went to order a beer from the bartender he answered they didnt have that beer, dropped eye contact, and rudely walked away with out another word. The food was below par, very greasy and very low quality. When the bill came (which my friend had put on her card as tab) she was shocked at the price of the games. The bartender was extremely rude and even yelled at her when she calmly and nicely asked him for an explanation of the cost. She was forced to deal with the manager and he could not explain why the price of the games was higher than their last visit. The manger started out nice, but became nastier as their conversation went on over the price and then refused to give my friend her credit card receipt. I should mention while she talked to the manger, the same bartender continually interrupted her conversation with the manager, making rude comments. This drove me to comment to the bartender himself, that he should not be working with people if he was this rude. He began waving his arms in the air like a lunatic and screaming at me "Get out of here!" at my comment. I walked back to my friend and he stopped coming over to harass her after that. However, I looked around while I stood behind her for support during her continued talk with the manger and caught him GLARING at her as if he wanted her to catch on fire, so I started staring back and counting just how long this bartender was going to glare at a customer(my friend). I got to 12 seconds before he noticed I had seen him. He glared at me for about 3 seconds before he came barreling up to where we were at the bar(my friend still talking to management) and started pointing at me, while screaming, "This girl needs to leave! Get her out of here!". My friends and I were stunned and we could tell things were getting ridiculous. At the end the manger took off only $8, which was laughable compared to the bill we received, he still did not have any reasons for the heightened price, and refused my friend her credit card receipt. I have never heard of a customer being denied seeing the receipt they are paying. The manger actually tore the credit card receipt out of my friends hand when she tried to reach for it and literally got IN her face and aggressively asked her to leave. Absolute nightmare! We cut our loses and left with out any explanation of the bill or her receipt. If you enjoy being abused and harassed by the bartender and management, enjoy consuming black mold, like low quality greasy food, and no explanation for what youre paying..this is the place for you.

My Husband and I had our wedding reception at Carpool in Herndon. We wanted something low key, fun, with good food and drinks. We were their first wedding, and they did not disappoint. While their normal fare is more of the bar-food variety (burgers, philly cheesesteaks, nachos, etc), their catering menu is much more expansive and we had a wonderful selection of dishes. Rama and Nelson (manager and kitchen manager respectively) were professional, responsive, and generally amazing. The staff was fantastic, the drinks were great, the food was delicious, and the party was a blast. Many of our guests proclaimed it the best wedding reception ever. Thanks Carpool for a pretty amazing wedding.

Carpool is a waste of your time and money. The food is over-priced, and the last thing youll ever want to do is hold a special event here. We had a huge group there on the Saturday before Halloween. They held a costume contest that night, so we had a ton of people dressed extremely well. In the end, the bartenders gave the prize to a "regular" at the bar who dressed up in a Carpool t-shirt and hat, who said he was dressed as the owner. A lot of people were upset that night.

Food and beer is excellent. I had Teriyaki Tuna entre with Citrano Lime rice and sweet potato fries. Had over 30 different microbrews and one the wheat flavored ones were tasty. Good crowd with shuttle board, darts, and billards game options. Staff was friendly as well. Nice they have late hours serving food as we were served at 1130pm on a Wednesday night where all surrounding restaurants were closed

Its my birthday and my friends were waiting for me and the others. One of our DDs arrived before the rest and chilled playing janga while waiting. Guy comes over and says "I cant have you guys just playing games without buying anything Ill give you 4 minutes then you gotta leave" and left before they could explain. I wont be coming back. Theres a reason they call it carpoop.

Great place, with an awesome beer selection of beers that are not only hard to find, but especially hard to find on tap. The bartenders know the beers and are really friendly. We always bring out of town guests here and come to watch sports as they even have an outside area with sound and multiple tvs when its warm. The hardest part is parking when its busy.

Zero ....Negative( I had to give one star to post it) One of the worst experience ever, Bar Tender so annoying( considered himself as manager of the store) and put gratuity on two people and was so arrogant. Guys always read the bills before you pay it. you might dont even know you are paying for gratuity with one person. no Thanks Bar....

This place is nice to get together with friends, play some bar games (darts, skee ball, pool, etc), and have a good time winding down the day. The reason I went with 4 stars is that the service is spotty. If Im not holding out cash or some form of payment I will never get service at the bar. Thats basically is my problem with this place.

This bar was fun to hang out at with four dart boards, four pool tables, two shuffleboard tables and a partidge in a pear tree. The actual bar is pretty large and is a great spot for happy hour. Cons - Parking is absurd, drinks are a little over priced and smoking was an issue (no longer an issue). A few more people would also be nice.

String beer selection on top and in bottles. Lots of different games, pool, foosball, see ball, corn hole, darts and giant jenga! Only reason I didnt give out a 5 is because some of the games cost $12 dollars an hour and you cant rent it for less than an hour. Im not going to pay $12 to throw darts for 20 min Kinda silly.
