Normally I dont take the time to review anything, but this is not your everyday DC area Italian Restaurant. Their dishes were truly authentic and wonderful. I ordered the lasagne - crepes, which is essentially what seems like regular lasagna, however, made with thin crepe-like pasta and a hint of cinnamon. The flavors just melted in my mouth and I HAD to finish my dinner. My fiancé had a lobster risotto special. This wasn’t just a couple chunks of lobster, it was the whole thing (half was in the risotto, and the other half was cut the entire length and displayed beautifully on the plate. She described the meal as one of the best she has ever had. This is a place worth traveling to (we live 40 minutes away and will be coming back). The server - who may have been training didn’t know everything about the menu, but rather than guess he found someone to answer any question we had. They both helped take care of us the entire evening. Wine was reasonably priced as was the entire menu. 5 stars all around.

My wife and I have been coming to Dante Ristorante since it opened in 1989. Weve live in the area since 1976. We cant speak for others, but we feel like family. We have never had a disappointing meal and we like the quiet ambiance. There is a small room for no more than 6 on the second floor that we like especially for privacy and quiet. We have had large dinner parties there as well. We have probably had everything on the menu at one time or another but for meat eaters, the giant veal chop is hard to beat. Filet of sole and sea bass are also lovely. A typical start includes three kinds of ravioli. The wine list is excellent and they also allow corkage. We consider this an excellent value.

Really great experience with this Italian restaurant! Came here for a family reunion and I think they helped make the reunion a memorable one. Service at Dantes is stellar, we were serviced with smiles and waited an understandable amount of time for the food. I had the crab and tilapia. The crab was amazing, sweet and had a delicious hint of butter. My only complaint about the whole evening is that the tilapia was not well done. The fish was unfortunately cold in the middle and it hampered my appetite for dessert which I opted not to have in the end. All in all a great restaurant experience though and definitely worth a look-see

We have been in this restaurant couple of times, and the food is still very good and the price reasonable compared to other similar restaurants in the same Great Falls area. Great service, as well. However, the place itself needs renovation. The ambiance is boring and although you have lots of privacy, this restaurant definitely needs new decor soon and a new mood to bring it back to life!

Truly one of my favorite restaurants around Great Falls. Superior Northern Italian food, great service, adequate wine list and very reasonable prices. It is so easy to be great and charge high prices. Dantes does it well and is adorable enough to return frequently. The outdoor patio is great during spring and fall, with live music on Fridays!

Dantes has a really great outdoor seating area. We had a great dinner and really enjoyed everything. This is a great place to go for a romantic date. The best thing was definitely the scallops wrapped in bacon - I would highly recommend. Also, the house wines were well picked and reasonably priced.

The entire staff was very pleasant and accommodating despite our being dressed casually. The service, food and atmosphere was most impressive. Our server brought a sample of wine for my wife to help with her decision. Well definitely try to go back on our next visit to the DC area.

Classic Italian with the best lamb chops in the world! Top quality, pasta, beef and seafood that will always impress. Service is warm and friendly and the best spot in the area for quiet dining indoor and outdoor. Dont forgot desert, the tiramisu is outstanding.

I have a group of friends Christmas dinner here every year and everyone LOVES it. Its a beautiful restaurant, but you need to go especially during the holiday season. The service is amazing and the food is spectacular!

Hated it, left as we couldnt eat our food. They claimed the fish (tilapia) should not be well done, but it was actually cold in the middle. Felt like I was eating a rude persons house. Not welcoming at all.

I had an avocado crab dish. I really liked that they didnt smother the crab with dressing; that kept the taste of the crab sharp and succinct. The chunks of tomatoes were oddly large and bothered me a bit.
