I had an interesting experience the other night at Villa Mozart. I got up to use the restroom and politely said to the hostess,"Pardon me, I need to use your washroom." To which she replied "No." I then responded "Im sorry?" she then exclaimed "You cant." As I was walking out the door telling my family what had happened she came running outside "oh..wait..I was joking." If it was legitimately a joke, why didnt she tell me right then and there? She let me turn around disappointed and walk outside. It was only when the waiter informed her that I was in fact a customer that she came running outside with a quick excuse. Im not mad that she thought I was a random passerby "asking" to use the restroom. Its the way she handled it. She could have said "Sir, Im sorry but the restroom is only for customers." To which I would have responded "Yes Ive been seated for 40 minutes with my family" and we both could have had a chuckle about the misunderstanding. Also, she could have said "Im sorry I didnt realize you were a customer." but instead she thought it would be a good idea to insult my intelligence and act like it was a joke. If it was indeed a joke, she wouldnt have let me walk out the door, she would have told me right away,"Im joking its right this way." The rest of the staff were extremely professional and the food was simply breathtaking. The next time I visit, Ill be sure to wear my Armani suit and drive my BMW. I will agree that I was obscenely under-dressed , but I had spent the day at a nursing home visiting my sickly grandmother and wasnt expecting to be taken to dinner by my father, sister, and uncle. This is a great restaurant, and Id hate to leave a 3 star review over one awkward experience , so I shall return , dressed to the 9s and hopefully will be able to change this review to a 5 star review. Oh, and by the by, Mozart is Austrian. Perhaps this restaurant should be called maleducato hostess ?

My girlfriend and I decided to go all out for New Years, and Villa Mozart had received, from what I found online, excellent overall reviews. Upon being seated at the restaurant, we were rudely greeted by a stone faced waiter who supplied us only with a "new years menu" which required us to order 3 courses from a set menu. This fixed menu was not advertised online and therefore I felt conned into spending far more money than I had originally intended. The waiter then proceeded to pester us (at least 4 times) to place our orders, hardly giving us time to read the food descriptions and leaving us feeling extraordinarily uncomfortable and rushed. He literally stood over the table while we finished deciding what we wanted. The food was far from satisfactory. I order a penne and lobster in which the lobster was barely even visible and tasted less than fresh---unacceptable considering I paid probably aboutat least $30 for it. I would never suggest this restaurant to anyone, an enormous waste of money and terrible experience.

went here for office holiday dinner. 10 of us in their private room off to the right as you walk in. Very nice, comfortable setting. excellent service, good selection of wine. The cream of celery soup was terrific, as was the lentil soup, and the goat cheese appetizer as well, compliments of Chef Andrea. Thank you Chef! Calamari appetizer was a little chewy, but the sauce.....YUM!! Had the veal, cooked just right. Others had the rockfish, lamb, beef tenderloin, and a pasta dish. Everyone was pleased. Desserts--fabulous. Best Creme Brulee Ive had, and a delicious chocolate souffle. After dinner drink wasa chef selected Moscato DAsti that we all raved about. Cant wait to buy some for home. Would we go back?? ABSOLUTELY

Wonderful, as always. Gracious, unhurried, understated service. Lovely, unfussy setting. But the food - - ah, the food. Every meal has been a delight. Chef Andrea is a master of blending traditional regional Italian cuisine, the freshest of local, seasonal ingredients, and modern flair and technique. Every dish is, first and foremost, delicious - - but also masterfully prepared with a marvelous interplay of flavors and textures. This is among our "go-to" restaurant favorites in Northern Virginia. If you havent visited yet, you should.

I have eaten here many times and always had a great meal with exceptional service. This is not a place to dine and dash, but a place where you can relax and take the time to enjoy fantastic cooking. After our first visit we were treated like old friends every time weve gone since. Its rare to find a place with such good food in a setting that is both romantic and relaxing. The food is northern Italian and occasionally features a bit of a modern flair. Small but good wine list. Just go there and enjoy yourself.

Wow, definitely the best Italian in NOVA. We have great pics to prove it. The ice cream is all home made. Pooh the best ices cream weve had. Ill try to post pics, if Google rating will allow. We ordered lamb and ravioli. The lamb was so beautiful, it was hard to destroy the art. Anyway, found out towards the end of the plate that ure supposed to mix the art with the meat... Lol. It was delicious. Parking isnt great. It is a definite recommendation. It isnt cheap, it aint a chain "Italian" place fo sho.

What an amazing experiencet! The food flavors have so many layers it is like music in your mouth. The veal mousse with tuna tartar was absolutely decadent. The pasta with cantaloupe and port wine sauce was delicate and very tasty. My dessert, fennel cotto with orange caramel sauce, was unbelievable, delicate and popping with flavor. The place is small but quaint, elegant but subtle. The service very professional and friendly. I will definitely be back for another experience.

Villa Mozart is a gem of a restaurant. It is top of the list for our family and has become the restaurant we go to celebrate special occasions. The interior has a nice cosy atmosphere, the staff is very professional and the food is exquisite. We meet Chef Andrea Pace and he so passionate about everything he creates on his menu. This passion is very evident in the presentation and of course in the taste of all the dishes he serves.

Every plate was a work of art. Truly unusual: walnut chutney, sour the chestnut souffle was out of this world. Penne Martelli was done to perfection and the sauce so delicious we had to request more bread. My Merlot was even excellent. Best of all, we left feeling utterly pampered yet now over stuffed. What held it back from 5 stars was the Insalata Caprese lacked taste and the music was a bit too overstated.

My husband and I recently moved to Virigina, and in an effort to get to know our area, we spent some time walking around downtown Fairfax. We happened upon Villa Mozart, not knowing anything about it. It was near noon, and so we stopped in for lunch. What a wonderfully delightful lunch. Everything was fresh and simple and very, very delicious. I cant wait to go back!!

Villa Mozart is very well reviewed and was personally recommended to me. I was very excited to try the food. However, we were so rudely treated by the hostess that we cancelled our reservation and left. It was made clear to us that people like my wife and I are not welcome there.
