Oh, Damons. The one bar in Gloucester that will surely never die, but often times seems like its the butt of a sad joke. "Where do you want to go for a drink?" -"Idk... theres not much here.. I guess Damons is our only option." Considered largely as a biker bar by some, its where all the locals go to drink, eat, shoot some pool, and still have a cigarette inside. During the summer months they tend to have bands roll through and play shows on their outdoor patio. Staff is friendly, but may also be due to the vibe of them knowing everyone who generally walks in the door. While they do have about 6-8 pool tables, you may find some failing to take in quarters or returning the proper number of balls. In general, theyve got a menu of bar food, but some people swear by it and/or the prices too.

This place is incredible! Food is delicious, quick to get out, wonderful service (Kat is amazing!!), very good atmosphere. Very clean, though the facilities could use a little attention, everywhere else was immaculate. The pulled BBQ sandwich platter was the best pulled BBQ Ive had in the country (and for comparison, I was ActiveDuty Army for years and stationed in TX, AZ, and most of the other BBQ capitals of the country). My buddy got the Bacon-Cheese Fries with their Hot Wings. Very delicious and the homemade Hot Wing sauce was incredible. Easily the best "side-of-the-road" joint/bar in Eastern VA! A must visit!

This place has two seating areas. The one in front is nonsmoking. The second area, which is completely separate from the front, is where the bar is and is smoking. While I dont smoke, the ventilation works well enough that the smoke does not bother me. We always sit back there. The atmoshpere is more lively. The food is good. Menu items are American fare and varied, and there are always daily specials. Great place for a really good burger and a beer! Plenty of parking on the side and in the rear of the building.

Stale cigarette smoke permeated the air, even out in the restaurant area. Steak was cooked the way it was ordered (rare), but was tough. Barbecue was so-so, not the best, not the worst. I understand the hamburgers are out of this world, but dont think Ill be going back for one.

By far the absolute best bar/restaurant in the western hemisphere. If youre looking for a place to get smacked drunk but enjoy a nice meal at the same time, also all the cocaine you could possibly think of can be found in the mens bathroom stall. This is the place for you.

Came on a Sunday while the games were on, sat in the front dining area. The waitress was very nice and our order came out very quickly and was exactly what we wanted. Will most definitely will coming back.

The waitresses are very friendly always smiling. You wouldnt expect the food to be so good but its one of the best in the area so far. The breaded shrimp is amazing i get it every time i go.
