After taking our cat to the vet next door, we decided to have dinner at the The Tavern, where we have eaten in the past....Food ususally decent and service sweet, just a local hangout, last evening not so, it took our food an hour to get out, hamburger, bake potatos and shrimp...the crowd outside, the owners daughter as she announced more than once to everyone in earshot and her buddies, old and young used the F word and other like words so many times that even my ears were burning, it was the major words used even around a young daughter they kept sending inside to see the daughters father which they continued to announce....After sitting from 6:30 to almost 8 mostly with just drinks we left, my suggestion to the owner if you want your daughter letting everyone know she is in the "In" tell her to watch her language and bring some pride to you Tavern, cause it is a cute local hangout that now is not so cute anymore. Had lunch here for the very first time with a friend, let me say first and foremost, the burger I had was not only $6, but tasted amazing. Thick and juicy! And the fries were HOT ( & so was our appetizer, mozzarella sticks, my favorite) The waiter we had, was so friendly and quick, even though he had his hands full with a decent lunch rush. Fantastic place to eat, highly recommend trying!

My wife and I are from New York city. Coming from a place where you can always get good food. Once we moved here we ran out of places really quick. Tavern always welcoming and the food is great. Sometimes you will have to wait. But the wait will be worth it.

I travel from NY to Florida or North Myrtle Beach several times a year. The burgh is one of my rest stops, and I always choose the Tavern. The staff & owner are fantastic. Good is always good and the customers are always friendly...

Great wings.... terrible and rude service. Tried it again tonight for the second time and it disappointed once again, actually worse. Understaffed and rude waitress!! Be aware in case you want to try it.

Great for take out. We usually do it as a group (Radley Chevrolet) and order a bunch. They are always prompt and accommodating. One of my favorite burgers.
