WOW, salted boiling water has more flavor than the food here! Food was not timed to come out the same time as my partners. Spring rolls were mushy and tasted microwaved! The most flavorful thing I had was my diet coke! =/ Plus I think there was an ice shortage because I had like 3 pieces in mines. The fish wrap app tasted like cardboard and came with no dipping sauces? Bang bang shrimp was more like Boo Boo shrimp! We didnt finish any of this and when our main courses came out the presentation was great until we took a bite. Once again, no flavor what so ever. When we spoke to the assist. mgr he said he was sorry and walked away. Then the waitress approached us and said he would take off 20% and if we wanted we could call tomorrow and ask for the "real manager"! LOL, no thanks....we just paid our tab and left. No doggie bags needed here because we just left all of our food on the table and left! I strongly recommend going somewhere else!

A couple of weeks ago, my wife and I went to this location to have dinner, this was to be my first time in Peter Changs. The waiter came to our table ,and took our drink orders, my wife ordered a red wine and I ordered hot tea. When the waiter returned with the drinks to our table, he accidentally spilled the red wine all over my white shirt, and shorts, I mean I wore every last drop of that wine. I actually stayed calm, and laughed about it, but my wife grew very angry, especially after they offered to correct the situation by comp-ting us a free appetizer, what a slap in the face that was, so my wife insisted that they pay the cleaning bill for my clothes , but they said no, just bring the clothes to us and we will clean them, its been a week and I have not heard from them....after I get my clothes back, if they can get the red wine stains out...I will never step foot in that place again.

No Bar, first warning, should have left.Because of accolades on window we decided to try it. We are from New England, and have eaten extensively in Boston and Ny Chinatown, and surrounding communities. First impression was nothing special, and no bar. We ordered a couple of appraisers, one was very good, the other was like braised beef. My wife ordered Chicken and onions in a hot pot, I ordered shrimp with asparagus and pea pods. My dish was like eating something tossed with a lot of olive oil, bland as could be. Could not eat it as It was greasy with the oil. her dish was dry as could be, and the fried rice we shared was abominable. Our waiter by the way, looked like he just awoke from the 60ies, and while friendly, was of no help.I rate this as a zero.

I wasnt very impressed at all. I asked the employee desk whats in the vegetarian egg roll. She said cabbage. Assuming there had to be more than cabbage in it, I asked what else. She said cabbage and went on to tell me how its cooked. Then I asked what kind of fish is in the fish roll. She had a confused look on her face and just said fish. At this point Im pretty sure she didnt speak English. So I asked someone else for help. I finally got my answer but was quite bothered by the fact that on top of her not speaking much English, she had a lil attitude too. Not to say shes a bad employee but evidently the front desk is not the best place to have someone who doesnt provide a welcoming and helpful experience for customers. Id rather go to PF Changs.

Im looking forward to trying their new Fredericksburg location. We have been driving to Richmond to eat at the Short Pump location. The food there is fantastic and Im sure it will be here also. The five stars are based on our experience at the Richmond location and it is the BEST Chinese food anywhere in the area and compares with the best Chinese food Ive had in New York City, San Francisco, and Hong Kong. Make sure that you try the items in the House Specialties (or chefs recommendations or whatever they call it) section rather than the items youre more familiar with, this is where they really shine! Please get the online ordering and menu fixed on your homepage, it is broken and completely unusable!

When I first heard about this place on Food Network I was very curious as to how good the food really was. When I first walked in I was taken a back by the subtle elegance of the place. Tables were very well arranged with enough chairs for everyone in our party of 8. The menu has a little bit of everything and the portion sizes are very generous. When I say very, I mean you may not be able to finish a portion alone. The food was the best Chinese style food I have ever tasted. The veggies and spices were all very fresh and the food was excellent. I highly recommend that if you are in the mood for this style of food this place definitely has you covered.

What has happened with Peter Changs of Fredericksburg? When it first opened the food helping was good and friendly service. Now they have a lady at the front desk that never smiles and when she speaks to you it is like she is talking down to you and makes you feel like they do not want want you there. The food I order all time time Was very small and did not live up to Peter Changs name. It will be a long time before I return back for another meal there. I am upset because I like his food very much.

Peter Chang is in the league of its own. His food is a symphony of tastes, textures, and layers. His Mastery of peppers is something to be enjoyed and experienced. This is not your grandmothers Chinese restaurant. We have followed Peter Chang from his first restaurant after he left the Chinese Embassy. One can argue if the restaurant in Fredericksburg is better worse than his other locations but there isnt a Southern Chinese restaurant in Washington DC area that can compare to Peter Changs

Ate here three times and one time and at the Williamsburg branch in the past month or so. Doesnt get much better than this. Freshness, presentation, temperature and flavor all excellent. Selected chef specialties or other uncommon offerings...never disappointed. The Hot and Numbing dishes were a revelation for example, literally unlike anything I have ever tasted. Had leftovers for two more snacks that were equally surprising...flat out brilliant. Equal to the hype without a doubt!

We decided to try because we read in the paper that Peter Chang is up for some sort of Chef Award. Given that, the quality of food we were presented with was not what we were expecting. Meals were not time coordinated, spring rolls were mushy, shrimp tasted like the small frozen type, sauces were thick and sticky, meals were unbalanced and did not look appetizing, everything was very greasy, --this experience reminded me why I stopped eating Chinese out or take-away.

For Chinese food, its overpriced, but its also some of the best Chinese food so it gets a pass. This is located in Central Park and is a somewhat small restaurant. Food took awhile the first time we went at dinner, about 30 minutes to come out but we had ordered appetizers. The second time we went at opening and it was less than five minutes. I highly recommend their steamed buns and Mongolian beef.
