After church my family and I decided to go to outback restaurant in Landover and the speed of service besides customer service is horrific you may ask why... here we go we arrived at 2:25pm and a wait 35 minutes I did not mind because it was crowded so I was given a buzzer so when my table is ready we can go ahead and be seated (i step out and sit in my car and wait because it was too crowded) then when my buzzer lit it did not vibrate I proceed immediately to the supervisor so I can be seated along with my family then he had the nerve to tell me he gave my table away because he page me and I did not respond (he had to be crazy my buzzer did not vibrate it only lit and when it did I rush right away so we can be seated) well he apologized and he ask me to wait he will have a table ready for me another 5-10 minutes went by then I was seated... oh boy! Oh boy! Now came my table server she did not introduced herself very unfriendly and serious no smile... we place our orders and we had to wait about 25 minutes for our meal, once our appetizers came it missed sugar for my tea and orange juice for my brother wait 10 minutes for both then she came to take the order for our entry and we wait another 30 minutes before it came then fries for my mom were missing and we needed more ketchup for the boys fries and to topped all she did not check to see if we were ok or if the food was good, no not once... we wanted to stay for desert but because all the delays we opt to take home so we still end up waiting another 15 minutes for take out and the bill. Worse experience ever! Exactly it took over 3 hours in this restaurant we left at 5:40 pm, I spend more time waiting than enjoying the restaurant. The food was good except the fries it was so so I guess is because it was sitting too long before it was taken to us that was the only thing ok. Yes I know its ridiculous smh!!! I shouldve left from earlier... thats crazy I am not sure if I would consider going back again but I did enjoyed my meal besides the bad service.

Service was atrocious to say the least. We dined on Sunday 8/14/16. The waiter took everyones order at the same time. My young nephews food came out first. My dads food came out about 5 minutes later. He had fish & chips with a side of broccoli. His broccoli came out after he finished half of his plate. Our sodas lacked syrup, tasting more like slightly flavored club soda. The remaining six of us were served maybe 10-15 minutes after my dad and nephew. I ordered the grilled salmon with a baked sweet potato. I was served a small plate with a grilled piece of salmon, the juices wasted all over the place and small soggy slice of lemon, as if the lemon made the presentation made it better. After we all received our plates of fish or meats, the waiter returned to the table with the manager to inform us that they were out of sweet potatoes. Prior to this, we asked for catsup and was told they were out of catsup. To make matters worse, the waiter stood at ears shot and told a co-worker that we complain to much. Major NO-NO. The only thing we wanted was a nice dinner with our dad. Instead we got a waiter who had absolutely NO CONCEPT of how to wait tables or customer service, NO IDEA of food etiquette or presentation, and NO STYLE or TACT. The service was offensive to say the least. The manager ultimately took care of the bill. I thank him for that, course it did nothing for me since I returned my poorly presented salmon with no seasonal mixed vegetables, as stated on the menu. I WILL NEVER RETURN TO THE OUTBACK IN LARGO, MD. I wish I could upload pictures of my plate. What a way to ruin a night. One star is still too much for our experience.

Ive been coming to this particular Outback for 3 years now. Anytime I come during lunch I have great customer service. Most of the time I get a young lady by the name of Key who is absolutely stunning and well mannered. Sometime this week, me and a few girlfriends came to have dinner. As we approached the podium, there was a young lady on her phone making videos on Snapchat. I wait for her to notice us. You would think that she would put her phone down immediately, but no. She stood there on her phone, completely ignoring my group. I finally say excuse me, she looks at me as if I were the one annoying her. Her body language was very off. She wasnt smiling. She didnt apologize. It was almost as if she didnt want to be there. I tell her Id like a booth for 4. She rudely asks me would I like booth in the "bar" area. I look inside, and immediately say no because of all the noise and chaos. I asked for a booth over in dining area to the right of the podium, and she tells me that we cant sit there. My girlfriend asks how come. She says "We aint got no servers over there so you gonna have to wait or find a booth at the bar." Completely outraged, I say thank you, nevermind. That was the worst customer service Ive ever gotten at Outback, and frankly, Im confused as to why they would have someone so belligerently ghetto, unpleasant, and just plain out rude working there, let alone as a hostess where her job is to greet the incoming guest with great customer service. Maybe somewhere in the back of the restaurant is more appropriate.

One star is even too much for this restaurant. Our server, Alex or Alexander, was awful. He hardly wrote down our order. He didnt ask how we wanted our steaks cooked, we had to tell him as he was trying to walk away from the table. He never brought bread to our table.. The kitchen staff is just as bad. My salad came out full of the core of lettuce and wilted brown lettuce. My steak was rare with blood on the plate, when I ordered it medium well. Both of our potatoes were shriveled and overdone, as though they had been sitting for hours. I sent my steak back, and the same steak was brought back to me by the manager a full 20 minutes later. My husband was already done his meal. My baked potato, sour cream included were burning hot from being thrown under a heat lamp or in the microwave, instead of making me a new potato. This was the first time ever that we actually considered walking out on a meal. The manager did apologize for the steak not coming out right at first but left the table so quickly I couldnt even ask for bread or a better potato. Alexander never came back to check on anything or refill our drinks. By the time he did we just wanted to get the hell out of the restaurant. The hostess was every friendly when seating us, but after that, the service from both the waiter and the kitchen was absolutely horrible. We were not even offered compensation for the amount of time that it took. The Outback chain should be embarrassed that this location represents their business.
