Love the food - hate the service. The fresh tortilla is out of this world! The barbacoa is wonderful. But you have to wait for everything. You wait to place an order. It you are the only person in the restaurant you only have to wait three or four minutes. If you are fifth in line the wait is more like ten minutes. If you are at the end of the railing the wait is an easy thirty minutes. Then after you give your order you have to wait for them to fix your order. Add another five to ten minutes. Then you wait for the cash register person to get your order correct. That usually takes two or three trys. My last visit I ordered two tacos and it took 57 minutes. I would have left but my son wanted their burrito. It is also just as good but the wait time is horrible! (I am told this is not the story at the Chantilly restaurant). Throw on top of that the meal is a bit on the expensive side. So if you REALLY want wonderful food and are willing to wait an inordinate amount of time and money is no option, Cafe Rio is THE place. If time is a factor try something else, anything and everything is quicker.

I love this place. Great bargain for the price. Multiple options for meat - fire grilled chicken, pulled chicken, steak, fish, and everyones favorite - Sweet Pork Barbacoa! Tortillas and chips are handmade the same day, most of the time on the spot and absolutely amazing. The queso is also quite good. This is not comparable to "Chipotle" or "Moes" - much more flavor, food is more fresh, and there are tons of options available. Go on taco-tuesday if youre looking for a bargain. Go a different day if you dont want to battle a line. Sometimes customer service here is great - other times it leaves something to be desired. The WORST is when the girl behind the counter puts a large portion of meat into the pan to add to your taco or quesadilla, and then takes some out saying she "put too much". Talk about a let down.

so you walk in and it smells amazing.. and u wait in line and you get soo hungry while they make your food in front of you.. and then they run out of rice or beans or some random thing to complete your order.. and decide youve come this far why not try it.. the manager offered to bring the rest of your order to your table and you go sit.. that first bite is just an orgasm of barbacoa and their spicy enchalada sauce.. every subsequent bite is amazing and before u know it your whole face is covered in delicious mexican food and u dont care that they are slow. they only recently opened so im not gonna get too upset about the service.. and it also didnt stop me eating their 3 days in a row..

The food is good but in this location the people that serve the food are not the friendliest nor have the most helpful attitude. Also, I personally dont like the fact that to add peppers and onions on a burrito is extra. For the price of the burrito that should be something you can put. This is why id chose Moes over this place. They also charge extra for so many little things like i never get beans or really anything in my burrito and i have to pay extra for their house sauce and some veggies? Yet they dont have to waste beans and cheese and other things. Moes also has that really good queso and for a better price.

Like complaints going back two years, they often are missing key ingredients, particularly steak. Its pure laziness. They just dont care to keep it cooked up. I complained today and the supervisor laughed at me. He said I should be happy to wait 10 minutes to get fresh steak. Isnt all of it supposed to be fresh all the time? I told him I was going elsewhere and he laughed at me again. The young kid at the counter was embarrassed but the Sr people were not at all concerned. As dirty and messy as always. The one in Manassas is much better.

WE LOVE CAFE RIO BUT THIS BURKE LOCATION WAS GROSS AND RACIST. THEY PUT THE CONTAINER OF SAUSE RIGHT ON TOP OF OUR FOOD INSTEAD OF ON THE SIDE, I ASKED IF THEY COULD CHANGE IT AND THEY LOOKED AT ME STUPIDLY AND WOULD NOT CHANGE IT THEY JUST MOVED THE CONTAINER TO THE SIDE AND THEN WHEN I ASKED FOR A MANAGER TO COME TO OUR TABLE THEY STARTED TO TALK IN SPANISH NOT KNOWING I UNDERSTOOD EVERY WORD AND A MANAGER NEVER CAME TO OUR TABLE. :(

Amazing food, the soft corn tortillas are really something to behold. Their app is also a really nicely done loyalty program and if you do apps, its totally worth it for great deals. The lines can be terrible (especially Tuesday 5-7:30) and sometimes the tea is really off but considering food taste and price point, its only losing a star for that. I will update it if weeknight throughput/tea quality consistently improve.

Food is freshly prepared by a quick staff. Unfortunately it seems the staff is inexperienced in customer service, as they are slightly rude and not helpful. The restaurant has been in slight disarray each time weve visited; napkins scattered, dirty tables, and the drink station overflowing. The food is the best part of this place, I just wish the rest of the experience was nice.

The food here is amazing. That being said, the service is pretty terrible. If the right crew of people are working youll be out in a reasonable amount of time. The rest of the time it takes 20-30 minutes just to get a burrito. Sometimes they stop making your stuff just to start making online orders. In other words, if their food didnt taste so good I would never go back.

I usually dont have any issues with cafe rio. Today was different. I ordered my food and then was made aware at the check out that my coupon/offer was only valid on half of my order. Ive been here for 30+ minutes trying to figure out how to get this to work without paying 40$ for a meal i wouldnt have otherwise ordered. :/ Frustrating to say the least.

We love Cafe Rio!! Originally from Utah, where Cafe Rio all started, and stopped here on a road trip. So much better than Chipotle or Qdoba! Great service! Great food! The manager was incredibly friendly! Their pork salad with creamy tomatillo ranch dressing is to die for!!

I think I was overcharged, purchased two tacos which they have a single taco for $2.99. I was charged $8.29 and didnt get any sides. Food is pretty decent but dont care for their rice/beans compared to Qdoba or Chipotle. Cant beat the authentic homemade tortillas though!

Not good. Place is getting old. Service responsiveness is not thorough. Distinct smell wafting from the bathrooms. Floors sticky -- yech! Itll be a long time before I go back. Hopefully, itll get better at some point before they go out of business.
