I am a regular customer here. The waiters are very nice and fills my water whenever I need it. The food is great and I always order the chicken vindaloo. I like the Quick Pick (every Monday-Friday during the afternoon) where you can pick a certain curry and get a rice side in a plastic container for only $8 bucks. Service is quick and the restaurant itself is very comfy and well decorated inside. There are a variety of wine/alcohol selections inside, which I never tried because Im under 21. One thing though. Since delivery was free within 3 miles radius, ($15 minimum) I chose to order and ended up waiting an hour in total when it should have been at most half an hour. I waited and waited, and I received a call from a delivery man asking me in a hurried tone, "Where are you?" And I said, "Im outside." But he said he has been waiting for a while now, which was odd since I was already outside and saw no cars. Then he told me he saw me and drove there. I can tell that he was just arriving here and he didnt wait at all. Nevertheless, the food was good and I was satisfied. Other than that, 4 stars!

The quality of the food leads me to believe that some of these reviews are shills put out by the restaurant owners. Its not terrible, but not AWESOME either. I eat at Indian restaurants at least once a week, and do so all over the globe, and this one definitely is not fantastic. Granted, I only tried it once (yesterday), but heres my opinion. The naan had that thick crunchy black soot on the bottom that makes it somewhat unpleasant to chew--they need to clean the tandoor. The butter chicken was sweet, but otherwise lacked complexity in the spices, and came off rather flat. The palak paneer had plenty of chees, which was great, but was also one dimensional in the flavor department and slightly bitter. The chicken biryani was the best of the three dishes I tried, with some fresh herbs and a good blend of spices. The chicken in it was cooked well. I made a special trip to the other side of town based on the reviews, and I definitely would not go back. The three dishes were $32 and I thought that was kind of steep for cafeteria style pre-made food. The guys behind the counter were really nice, though.

We went there around Christmas 2012 and i am writing this review after 2 months!! First impression - unhygienic Value for money - Expensive Food - Bland, soggy, watery We went for lunch, they have standard menu where you can pick and choose the items which you want. The do not have proper plates and were served in plastic plates, different items were over flowing and mixing with each other. Naan was very dry, even after applying butter we found it difficult to eat. One word - avoid this place

I eat a lot of Indian food. The food was very clean, no "mystery meat," but very toned down. I have never had Indian this devoid of spiciness. I am not particularly tolerant of spicy food, but I could probably drink the "extra spicy" sauce. The naan was average quality, but fresh. Overall, it was pretty good and worth trying if you havent been here, but pretty forgettable. I will go back to try other dishes in a week or so.

First time, I was very impressed by the giant authentic style naan served, with piping hot selection of the deli area. But my repeat visit was bland, lukewarm, and for some reason, cheap rice instead of the Naan. And worse, it wasnt freshly made, but the same deli selections, but still cost me almost $15 with tax (12.95 + tax). And this isnt a waitstaff restaurant, but a counter. Not impressed -- may try again later.

For those looking to find even a decent chat around DC, MD area , just stop trying. There arent any. Delhi dhaba is the nearest, most conveniently locater to metro and authentic north indian food at a great price. I tried paani poori, tikki chat, and kadai paneer and the only thing I can wish for is if I could try more !

This place is perfect for large groups because it appeals to so many different flavor profiles. You can find something for those people who enjoy traditional Indian food and for those who are experiencing an Indian pallet for their first time. Definitely recommend, ambiance and location are a major plus!

I really love eating here. The buffet used to have a long wait, because they would write your order down instead of just filling it, but without changing their process, it got somewhat faster. Sitting down, the pick 3 is a great option to get full off at lunch.

When this place was a "hole in the wall", you walked in and ordered your food cafeteria style. The food was good, and inexpensive. Since their extensive remodel, the food doesnt seem as good as the surroundings warrant, and its much more expensive.

My food shouldnt be an additional 20 min late. It should not be cold. I should not get a call from their driver whose still in their car driving up & actually making ME WAIT. Your driver shouldnt complain about a $1.50 tip. Your lucky he got one.

The atmosphere was very chic and welcoming. Food was incredible; plenty of naan was served just warmed for us. A great combination of elegance and hearty food to fill your soul made Delhi Dhaba a perfect stop on a long, rainy day. :)

I got takeout for dinner and the place was WAY overpriced. The food wasnt that bad, but the value just wasnt there. Portions were skimpy too, given the price. I shouldve walked out when I saw that it was completely empty.

I am living in Arlington since 2010. When I think about Indian food Delhi Dhaba comes in my mind. Food are awesome, polite staff and delicious food are highlight. Delivery are always on time when ever I order delivery.

The ambience is good but the food doesnt taste that well. They present very well but my taste buds never felt the real Indian taste here. Its quite bland all over. Their home delivery service is good.

Totally avoidable :( Another Indian restaurant that I do not frequent (being Indian). Bad service, food is hit or miss - mostly miss for me. Go to East West Grill 2 block away - much better!

I live 2.73miles from here and they refused to deliver to my apartment despite the claim on their website that they will deliver for 3 miles. REALLY ANNOYING.
