Terrible experience, with bad and frustratingly clueless customer service. We ordered delivery through Foodler; we’ve used it before and it’s been great. We place our order and it comes an hour later, which is pretty standard. We’re about halfway through eating when we realize we have the wrong order (long story – my husband doesn’t know what Indian dishes should look like.) No big deal except we have multiple chicken dishes and I don’t eat meat (don’t judge), which means I’m screwed out of anything other than samosas and naan. So, I call Foodler which tells me to call the restaurant, since they just pick up the order. When I call the restaurant, I talk with the owner, who assures me he will send over the correct order. Fine. An hour later, a woman shows up with NO FOOD, but who wants us to pack up our original food so she can take it to the people who ordered it. What? So, the restaurant sends someone to pick up food that had been sitting at our house for 90 minutes and had been partially eaten, and yet they were planning to deliver it to another customer. I’m sorry, what (oh, and where is my paneer tikka masala?) The woman was really non-committal and was like, I was just sent to pick up the food. She left and called the owner, and two and a half hours after our original order, I talk with her again. The owner wants to send over just the corrected dish (not the correct order, mind you.) By that time, it was 8:00 and it wouldn’t have arrived for another forty minutes – so more than three hours and fifteen minutes after our original order. I tell them to just issue a refund to our credit card, and they tell me to call Foodler. Foodler tells me that the restaurant has to authorize it, so when I called back, they again told me that they couldn’t do anything (ARGH.) So, I asked them to email me a statement indicating that when I call back again, I should get a free paneer tikka masala. Frankly, after LITERALLY 9 phone calls to try to get food or my money back, I think I deserve a little more. Unfortunately, I won’t ever order from them or eat there again, because I was so frustrated by the whole experience. It was also really expensive for carryout: $38 for two dishes, an order of plain naan, and two samosas (and I didn’t even eat one of the entrees.) FAIL. Also, I have major concerns about their food handling processes given that they wanted to deliver half-eaten food to someone else???

We absolutely love this place. I love that they have mild Chicken Tikka Masala on the buffet always because that is what my 9 year old daughter and I always order. They started putting the Naan bread out on the buffet which they didnt used to before. You had to ask for it, and it was part of the buffet price too. But ever since it has been out on the buffet the naan bread is crispy and hard. I have to say we were only there twice when that happened. I hope they correct that because it is so different than when you had to ask for it(when it wasnt on the buffet yet) or when you get it and night for dinner. Naan bread should be soft bread, at least everywhere I have been to Indian cuisine restaurants they serve it this way. This is a big part of our meal. But overall, everyone pretty much has a good attitude and is nice. They always fill your drinks. We love it. I hope they stay open for a long time as this the only Indian Cuisine we have around here. And it taste great!

Im always in search of a fantastic Indian restaurant in the area. There are a couple that I frequent often, such as Jaipur and London Curry House, but I was thrilled to find out that Namaste opened right on King Street - just a quick stroll to decent Indian cuisine. This restaurant is both Indian and Nepalese food, but we mostly ordered the Indian dishes. To start, we ordered a samosa and we were brought papadum and chutneys. We also ordered aloo gobi, daal makhani, chicken tikka masala, fish curry, and garlic naan. The food was delicious! I especially liked the fish filets in the traditional Indian curry. The dishes are perfect to share between two people and if you get a smorgasbord of food like we did, its enough for three or four. The restaurant gave us two heaping bowls of rice with our entrees. Excellent food, reasonable prices, and terrific service. If youre in need of good food while on King Street, dont hesitate to stop by Namaste!

We picked this place after reading the reviews of numerous other restraunts and it did not disappoint. Im only giving it 4 stars because my friend ordered medium-spicy chicken curry (while explaining that she was Indian) and I ordered medium-spicy chicken curry (while explaining that I liked spicier food than she did). My food was medium (could have been spicier but was very good and flavorful) hers seemed significantly more mild than mine. She just took some of my sauce to "spice up" hers. The waiter said they were the same but we each tasted both and are pretty confident that hers was mild and mine was medium. The wait staff was very attentive. The garlic naan was quite tasty, chicken pakora was tasty, good, the "mint" sauce was excellent, and the flavor of the curry was good. All in all Id go back when in the mood for Indian.

This place is tucked away in a strip mall, but dont let that deter you from checking this place out. The servers give you a level of service that makes you seem like royalty and them like well... servants. Seriously they seem to be at your beck and call during your meal. Also I dont normally like Indian food but was very impressed with the taste and quality of this place (I was dragged here by friends) and have come back multiple times since my first taste. If you are new to Indian food check out the Chicken Tikki Masala or one of my favorites the Prawn Vindaloo, and you will keep coming back for more.

I was very eager to find out a restaurant, that served Nepali food , in northern Virginia area. With the sheer excitement , I decided to carry out the MOMO and Kukhura KO Sekuwa for my Friday night dinner. However , after eating the food , I don’t think I will ever again eat Nepali food from this restaurant . I am giving 3 star only for the owner of the restaurant who was very well mannered and a nice gentleman . Also , the staff were really good at the service. Perhaps the other food, they served might be delicious enough, but honestly avoid this place for Nepali MOMO .

We have eaten there about 6 or 8 times. It is typical yet tasty Indian cuisine. The goat curry is good, but has quite a lot of bones, they could use a better cut (perhaps shoulder) to avoid that issue. Try one of the thali options for a great variety at a very fair price. PS: While it is of course possible for two people to have the same name, I am greatly amused by the fact that it appears as though one of the owners, Rajendra Chaulagain, has posted a "review" praising his own establishment. I would certainly hope that he gets good service in his own restaurant!
