On a scale of 1-10 for Burlington VT eateries this one is a 2, waaaay behind on food quality compared with what the rest of Burlington has to offer. This is overpriced generic high school cafeteria quality food, no local ingredients offered, but you can get a frozen hamburger patty on a generic white bun for $10 or a Ceasar Salad with a small chicken breast and a cheap store bought dressing for $13. They have a beautiful view and the creamies are good, other than that they have a loooong way to go to catch up to all the other great food options in Burlington.

My family will not eat at this place again. We had very unhelpful and unfriendly staff waiting on us. We paid 7.00 for a ceaser salad, that contained lettuce and Parmesan, and I added chicken(very small amount) for 3.00 more. The salad was rotten, black and slimy. There was no apology. We wanted our money back but they said most of the chicken was eaten so we had to pay for the chicken(very ridiculous). This was coming from the manager herself. They shouldve never put that lettuce in somebodys plate and then charged them 10.00 for it. Bad management!

I would say that this place is a hidden gem. The food is truly decent and a great value. The shopping area has a good selection of food, beer and liquor. And the seating area, though not fancy, has some of the best views in the city. Its a good spot for tourists to take a break and get an affordable bite to eat, and has the advantage of being someplace that you can sit for a long time without feeling pressured to move on.

I have been to Burlington Bay many time before and have always really enjoyed their ice cream. However, I went for the first time today and the ice cream they are using tastes like it has gone bad. I had multiple people try it and everyone said that it tasted sour and was inedible. The only reason I am giving them two stars instead of one is because i have had good experiences there before.

Good food and a great place to sit and watch the lake. It is an "order at desk and we bring to you" place. Usually plenty of seating for all but the nicest days. Can get hot/sunny on the desk so bring sunglasses. Not much going on here during the winter months. Their biggest plus: awesome creamies (soft serve ice cream) during the summer.

Awesome views at the counter service style bar and grill. It is dog friendly, but only the 4 blue tables at the front (College Street) side. The back patio does not allow dogs. Great black bean burger, grilled chicken wraps and yummy creemee ice creams! They sell six packs and deli style snacks, coffee inside.

One the "beaten" path between Church Street and the lakefront next to Echo. A local fave known for grilled burgers & hot dogs (and plenty of healthier choices) as well as beer & liquor. Cozy, but the view wins! Seating is ample except on the most touristy times; and, yes, the IS parking!

The view is breathtaking...when you can get an outside seat. Thats why it gets 2 stars. Honestly, I was taken aback first by the price, then by the quality of the food. When I leave a place wishing I had brought my own food from home, it cant get more than that.

Quick and beautiful, there is a good assortment of good but what every local does is get creemes here and sit at the tables and look at the views, they are amazing! I highly recommend visiting, alway a young fun staff too!

Very tasty food and beautiful views of the waterfront and lake. Just a tad on the pricey side for what it is but its worth it. Nice outdoor seating/balcony for warm weather use. Has parking, which is a rarity downtown.

Stopped in for a breakfast sandwich. Food was tasty and fresh, came out quick, and was reasonably priced. Hope to return and try their lunch/dinner items. They also sell liquor and miscellaneous convenience stores items.

Im more than bummed that they took away island ice cream mint chocolate chip. My family has been coming here for years and I wont be enjoying the ice cream here anymore. Huge bummer for my summer.

Came here for breakfast. All the usual breakfast options and coffee. Good place to come and do some work with the view of the lake. Simple feel with convenience store offerings.

Pretty excellent creemees here. Weve gotten catered sandwich platters here before for work functions and those are always delicious. Staff has always been pretty helpful as well.

Parfait pour une crème glacée ou un café latte lors dune sortie en vélo.

Absolutely terrible food every single time. When The Skinny Pancake has a line out of the door and this place is empty, you really know that someone has stopped trying.

Fast service, decent food, great view from the deck, usually always seating available. Good breakfast spot - grab the NY Times, get your food and coffee and settle in.

Great maple ice cream and great views of the Adirondacks from both the indoor and outdoor seating. Parking can be a little tricky on a hot summer day though.

Beautiful view of the lake . Good coffee and made to order food. There is a small liquor store there. The creamies are good and not to expensive.

Much bigger place than you would first think stepping in! Still a bit cramped when you get a lot of people in there though. Friendly service.

This is a great place to grab a quick snack after a walk by the water. Food is good but nothing extraordinary. Your average American cafe.

Pretty good first experience. Food was fast and good. Fries were a little fishy tasting though. Great lakeside view to go with everything.

DE

A nice alternative to Pearl Street with a great assortment of liquor (not much beer) also has an creamies/ice cream window & a grill

Great creemees! Try the black raspberry, you wont be disappointed. The food is OK and the beer selection is subpar.

Wonderful lakeside lunch place, with great grilled cheese and soups. It can be very crowded during the day though.

J

Cheese steak sandwiches was really good and my wife loved her blackened salmon sandwich. The Lake views are great.

TR

Expensive for the quality. The food is okay, not great, it used to be much better. The view cant be beat, though.

EL

Elliot Schneider

Great place for a creeme. And surprisingly, theres a liquor store inside, which has a good selection and deals.

ST

Good place for lunch or coffee when youre down by the waterfront. Nothing really special, but great views.

CH
