My wife lived in Thailand for two years, and we both returned recently, as she exposed me to some of the best Thai food in that country. My Thai is far from what good Thai food should taste like, even knowing that most Thai restaurants in the US have an American spin on them. Honestly, it seemed as if it was almost a mixture of poor Chinese and Vietnamese food, with Thai names and appearance disguise to look like a Thai dish. The sauces were extremely salty and had a gravy texture to them, the chicken in the fresh rolls were dry, and the Papaya Salad lacked the traditional blend of lime, sugar, salt, and herbs that make that dish scream light brisk brilliance. Sometimes when the word "cuisine", "gourmet" or "authentic" is seen in the title of a restaurants name, you should pause and wonder if the food truly is good, because if so, why does it need to be highlighted as such. My Thai proves this point. However, their prices are that of a cuisine restaurant, so Ill give them that. The reason for two stars is because the service was kind and prompt. If you have ever been to Thailand, or haave had REAL Thai food, youll know what I mean when you make the mistake of buying a meal at My Thai.

Nice place for thai food. It is a small no frills type of restaurant. Overall the food was delicious and reasonably priced. We had fried spring rolls with two sweet sauces for dipping. They were good but nothing life changing. I wouldnt order them again. We also ordered the Pad Thai Noodle dish. The portion was huge. It was a good dish and Im glad we tried it but again I wouldnt order it again. So why give it 4 stars if I would not or two of the three things again. Because the third dish was amazing. We order the Mussaman (or Muslim) Curry (Gang Mussaman). The flavor was tremendous. We could have just had the sauce on rice and it would have been amazing. The only downside of the dish is that there was very little chicken or potatoes. But like I said the taste was delicious. We will be back and will try some of the other curries.

As a strict vegetarian I truly appreciate the quality and care that is put into every dish. We started eating at My Thai about a year ago, I told Dee (the owner) I was strict veggie and she always would take the time during the lunch rush to prepare something special for my boss and me. She can also do Vegan no problem. Dee is from Thailand and her Thai hospitality truly stands out (I discovered in my travels to Thailand, Thais are some of the friendliest folks on Earth!). Ed and Dee along with Dees sister and one hired hand run the restaurant day and night. It seems they are never too tired to smile at every customer and make sure each person eating is happy with their meals. I hope the best for their business they work so hard and are so kind I encourage everyone to try them out!

my wife and I really love this place. weve been eating here since they had only been open a month back in 2008. we really love the food and know Dee (the owner and cook) and her family quite well. weve never walked away disappointed in the food. although Im not a big fan of pad Thai in general, my wife loves it the way Dee makes it along with her curries. sometimes the service is slower due to customer volume (which is to be expected for good food), but I cant find many places that we can walk out the door full with leftovers for under $20. add the drinks and fried spring rolls for only a few dollars more, it is rough to beat the value. regarding those who claim the service is awful, I strongly disagree. we love the restaurant and will continue to go there as long as theyre open.

This is the BEST Thai food Ive had ANYWHERE. Ive tried many different places all over the country and have consistently been disappointed that the food isnt even in the same realm as the unceasingly delicious dishes my wife and I have tried here at My Thai. We tend to go so often that, while we have our favorite dishes, we still have yet to be disappointed when we decide to branch out and try new selections. Your culinary sensibilities will be forever changed by their panang, green, and pineapple curries, tom kah gai , fresh spring rolls, and mango w/black sticky rice dessert. Ah. Mah. Gahd.

The BEST Thai Food in Utah. BEST PAD THAI IN UTAH. Ive tried so many places around the city just for the hell of it and this is by far the best with the best pricing for the best quality. Locally owned. The owner is the nicest lady and truly takes pride in her food. Will not serve anything shy of perfect. Love this place. The girls serving r always so so friendly too! Spread the word its a hidden gem. The only complaint I have is BE OPEN SUNDAY PLZ! My Faves: Fresh Spring Rolls, Pad Thai, & best dessert Ive EVER had: Sticky Black Rice w/ fresh Mangoes.

Amazing Thai food, and very Vegetarian friendly, ask for a curry with tofu, veggies, or both! Has a low key, mom and pop feel to it. Adorable older Thai lady (owner) usually running the kitchen. Great service from friendly down to earth people, when i lived in salt lake, my partner and I used to come here for dinner ~3 times a week. Wed split a curry and both be full. Easily my favorite Thai food in the Valley. Green curry and the pineapple curry are both great. Try the Thai iced tea! You wont regret it.

Ive been dining here since they opened 8 years ago! The food is so good, even my picky husband will eat it. They have a great lunch selection and at dinner you can pick from the full menu. The price is also what keeps us coming back, because its hard to find a place that tastes awesome and fills you up for $20 for two people. Dee and Ed are the owners and they are such lovely people! They always take the time to say Hello to us when we come in. Im so happy to see they were able to expand the restaurant.

Got drunken noodle here for lunch last week. The girl at the register was very nice. But to my surprise, the food was not very good. It was very greasy, and it had no flavor. This is my favorite thing to order at Thai restaurants and I have been to a fair share of them in the valley. Everybody makes it differently, but this one was my least favorite. It was edible but I was thoroughly not impressed. After $2 tip it was $12, kind of pricey for lunch. BTW online menu pricing is not accurate.

This is one of my favorite lunch places. They have a great lunch special where you choose 2 curries plus rice, stir fry noodles, and a spring roll. They will give you samples if you want to try a new one. If they say something is hot, you should believe them! It is counter service and the curry meals are served up very quickly, and you can get it to go to be in & out in just a couple minutes. Other items like ham fried rice take a little more time. Overall, a fantastic place!
