I frquent this location once a week or more I usually get it to go the to go girl is usually friendly and food always good. So the 2nd time I order my food and then tell her is ok if I get it to stay instead because Im starving all the staff were acting all pissed and walking by me I told them I dont care who serves me Ill too whoever and they all mad and hufffy walking around in bad attitude. The to go girl I built a rapor with got in trouble for talking with me and hardly said two words to me. My dad used to work on the original laFrontera owners car and had been a family favorite for us. I have been in the food industry for 20 years and this was absolutely ridiculous. Not only will I never be back to this location I would not recommend this location to anyone . Theres a lapuente on state and those who dont know la Frontera is / was the husband locations and the wife/ex wife has the la puentes so its the same recipes and food. Being in this industry and to be witness this appals me the girl cant even talk to me and had a rapor thats why this location is so slow because its unfriendly and not a welcoming feeling. Shame on you laFrontera Brickyard.

I only gave stars, so you would read! I grew up eating La Frontera, at the ORIGINAL location (outwest, 35th South Bangerter Hwy) my favorite for dine in or carry out, my favorite in fact! My kids grew up loving it too. Trusting in such an established, local chain, I had no hesitation visiting the 33rd location, OH BOY! Was I disappointed. We had called in for a to go order, having relied on the menu listed online, the host had no idea who ordered what, rings up a shocking total, when we asked why one order of three smothered burritos with chips and salsa was $26 and some change.... He replied that the burritos cost $9.50 and the Verde was $4.75...etc.. Wait! What?????? I have to pay extra for the smother? On my SMOTHERED BURRITOS!! Online price was $11.00............that $3.25 would have paid for the chips and salsa that was mispriced too! Lol.... $2.00 for iceberg lettuce and five tomosto dices.... Seriously? I wont go back to La Puente either..... Tres Hombres.... Nice to meet you.

Found a hair in my food so I contacted the store manager lupe which she said she would replace my order I get there and Martha makes a big issue about replacing my order so she tells me to contact the owner which now has been 3 weeks and Ive left messages at 3 different stores including I assume is there actual office number with no call back I also went to the home page which links an email address but still no success sounding like they do not care about there customers I like the food when theres no hair in it now Im eating my food at la puente better food better service I say good day to la frontera.

I went in for lunch and the sign says Todays special is the Smothered Burrito with rice or beans. $5.99 (+1.00 for cheese). I ordered a smothered bean & cheese burrito, with cheese, rice and beans. Somehow my bill was $15. Ridiculous, my extra side cost me that much & was also told my bean and cheese burrito did not count on the special. Um, what? I guess I am supposed to assume a burrito is filled with chili verde as she said that was what th special was. Did the sign specifically say the special was a smothered chili verde burrito? Nope! What a joke.

DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT go to this restaurant. While we were waiting for our to go food (which took WAAAAY too long...) I walked my dog around the place and the businesses south on 3300 South. I have one word for you: RATS!! RATS RATS RATS RATS RATS!! My terrier was going ballistic as he saw SO MANY RATS in the back of the restaurant and in the shrubs in the FRONT of the restaurant. I took the food home all I could think of was the fact that I was eating RATS or RAT DROPPINGS. I threw away the food. GAH! Where is the HEALTH DEPARTMENT???

This is the worst Mexican restaurant I have ever been to in my life. I got three burritos smothered in chile verde sauce. I believe the chicken came out of a can...it looked like cat food. I ordered horchata, and got a glass full of ice with some horchata in it. The waitress disappeared for a good 20 minutes, and it took forever to leave. The worst part is, this place is not cheap. That meal was 15.00 before tip. I mentioned these facts to some friends, and they all the same thing to say.

Service was not great our server was a younger girl and it took a while to get out check the server would just stand around talking and hardly ever checked on sat low on coffee for most the lunch and i ordered a bean and cheese burrito smothered with chile verde and the sauce was cold as was the burrito the coffee i had was warmer than the food. And its not the first time. This place is going downhill.

Our waitress was an idiot! She forgot what drinks we ordered. Was staring off into space while taking our order. She totally forgot a womans order sitting across from us and had to come back and ask what she ordered. And was eating her lunch in between helping customers and never once washed her hand. The food was ok. Nothing spectacular. Will never come back to this restaurant again.

My wife and I spent $17 for two 3" chimichungas with brown guacamole, cheap shredded lettuce, sour cream in a bag and spicy tomato paste. Mexican restaurants really need to step it up if they are going to compete with any authentic or even American mexican, like cafe rio, Id rather pay twice as less for higher quality and tasting food at Cafe rio.

My wife had their combo. I had a steak. Its probably the worst Ive ever had. Her combo was better than the steak, but barely edible. She thought their salsa was OK. I have trouble with spicy. They charged a buck to put 1 oz of sour cream in my salsa. Irritating, but I certainly wouldnt go back anyway. Service was good. Leave screaming and running.

The only Reason Im putting one star is so that people will read this number one it was filthy the tables were disgusting they were not wiped down they didnt even offer to wipe them down until I ask the service was so-so and the prices changed from the table to the register and & the food was cold sad face I was hoping for good Mexican food today

Ive been coming here for years and the food has always been good but since the new management has taken it over, they try to milk you for every penny by making you choose a single side when combos and special would come with two. Every other La Frontera in slc does it right, this management here are tight wads.

The staff was polite. Food was bad. It took forever to get our drinks, and once they served us our food they never came to check on us. It took way too long to get out of there. Worst restaurant experience of my life. Should have known it was coming though. Friday night, and the place was empty.
