Flavors were good. Really good. Sandwich was not as hot as I would have liked. After a day walking around Salt Lake City, I stumbled into Bocata. Yes, it was in a Food Court, but apparently in Salt Lake around Temple Square, this isnt your typical mall food court. Its really nice, and all the places are good. This one may have been the best. The flavors were fantastic. I had the cuban sandwich. The bread is the real deal. The pork could have had more flavor, but the pickled beets and jalapenos were spot on. Filled me up right.

The reviews were great and their fresh baked bread looked so delicious, but I was disappointed. I suspect that I either caught them in an off moment, or the BBQ chicken sandwich is not their strongest item. The good: Quick service Tasty fresh baked bread Beehive white cheddar cheese The bad: Value ($11 for a mediocre and small sandwich and a Sanpellegrino) Overly saucy, with a very tomato heavy BBQ Overall I was ambivalent about the sandwich

In looking for a place to eat close to my hotel, I came across the food court at the City Creek mall and stopped at Bocata. The line was long but it moved. I ordered the Cuban pork sandwich. Its made with pickled onions and pickled Jalapeños on fresh baked bread. The first bite was delicious! The combination of flavors was perfection! I highly recommend eating here if youre hungry and want something delicious on a budget.

I either eat here or red iguana for lunch 3-5 days per week. I am more picky than most when it comes to food quality and taste and I have been coming here for the last 3 years. Im still not sick of it. Their pulled pork, aioli sauce, and their bread are all top notch. I customize my sandwich often and they always get it right. My only complaint is that their chicken is sometimes too black/burnt.

Good food but terrible service. One of the cashier ladies (there are several I think but Im talking about only one in particular) was consistently rude to me. One time she forgot to give me something from my order which is fine, were all human... but she accused me of lying until she remembered and apologized. Im never giving these people my money again

I love the bread here! It is heavenly. The ingredients all taste fresh and the service is pretty fast. I have never gotten anything I dont like, but I most recently had the grilled chicken sandwich and I loved it! If the sandwiches dont sound good to you, you at least have to get a side of bread to try!

For being in a food court, this is exceptional. They literally bake their bread right there in a brick oven. The service is pretty mediocre, it seems like the people there dont really want to be there, and they slap your sandwich together in seconds like nothing, but its so tasty... So so tasty.

We were visiting from Boston and decided to try Bocata for lunch one day. We loved it! My son wanted to go back, but there is only one that we could find. DELICIOUS! We especially loved the caprese sandwich.

I liked the warm bread. Not quite like a real Spanish bocadillo or 100 Monteditos, but I liked it even better. Felt Italian and American. I feel like I actually tasted food for the first time in a long time.

Oh. My. Goodness. This place is amazing. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Everything made fresh right in front of you. Including the baking of the bread in their brick oven. You will not regret eating here.
