This place has the best ice cream and food. We used to go a lot but service got bad so we decided to not go anymore. The last visit I waited for over 40 minutes until I asked if something was wrong. Supposedly my number got knocked over and not called. I ordered 2 shakes and the girl handed them to me without apologizing. They were both melted! She said she added ice cream to one of them because it was melted so it was in 2 cups. It was still melted but in 2 cups though! The medium I had was melting over the edges. It got everywhere in my car so I took it back up. I apologized to them and said I didnt want to be picky but I couldnt take 2 melted shakes home in my car. They made me new shakes and never apologized or acted like it was a big deal that I waited that long and was handed melted shakes for no fault of my own. The least they could have done was offer me a refund or size up the shakes once they remade them. Nothing was done to defuse the situation or compensate me for the inconvenience. Im very disappointed in the situation and the way that it was handled by 4 of the workers that saw the whole situation. With the decline in service we are not returning so we dont have to deal with the same situation again. The ice cream is good but not worth the wait or possible experience happening again.

I am guessing its a mix of nostalgia and being on DDD that generated the high reviews, because the food was mediocre. Being from a place that prides themselves on creating the "juicy Lucy" style of burger I maybe a bit biased. But the Big Ben was a minor step above your run of the mill fast food chains, and no where close to a gourmet burger. The Big Ben featured a large grill browned bun, lettuce, special sauce, processed yellow cheese, pickle, and a patty. The quality of the patty seemed on par with smash burger. Overall it wasnt a bad burger, but the bun acted as a filler, with twice the bun as there was patty. 2.5/5 stars The fries fell short of gourmet but were pretty good overall. They are pretty standard deep fried French fries. 4/5 stars I ordered a fudge malt. The malt was soft serve Mixed with a small amount of fudge. There was another taste I couldnt quite place but it wasnt malt flavoring. It tasted like mint hard candy and it detracted from the experience. I ended up only eating a quarter of it and tossing the rest. 1/5 stars Overall 2/5 stars due to the food only being marginally better then a fast food burger joint. A bit of a disappointment for a place featured on triple D.

Good food, shitty customer service. I ordered a quad cheese Ben today. Got it and realized it was a double Ben that had been marked as a quad Ben. I call and they ask me what the order number was. Really? Do you honestly expect everyone to remember their damned order number? The kid I talked to was non-management, so he relayed what I said to a manager who was standing right there... that manager didnt even have the courtesy to talk to me. Told me to call back tomorrow when the morning manager would be on shift. Horrible... horrible customer service. I dont spend money at an establishment to be called a liar and expect them to do nothing. The only reason this isnt a 1 star is because I do like their food. Their management however, sucks. My advice is to study your order number... write it down. Keep it near and dear just in case some snotty manager needs to verify. It is also a good idea to unwrap your burger right in front of them so they can see whether or not its the correct order. Had I known the crappy CS I would have done just that. Shameful to treat your customers like that, especially ones who have eaten at your establishment far too many times over the years.

Fast food garbage! When I think burger bar I think that these people know how to make a good burger. And this place is always packed with customers, they have got to be doing something right. WRONG! Doesnt any make a good burger anymore! Stop serving me pre fab frozen patties on an oversized bun and calling it good. Besides even if you managed to not burn my burger it was still tasteless and flopped on my onion rings pulverizing them. The only thing we liked was the breaded mushrooms. Being first timers we went to the wrong window and the girl was rude and ignorant towards us about it. To sum it up, service was bad, wait time was average, food was overpriced, dry, burnt, and tasteless unless you love grease over the flavor of meat. And presentation was out of a shabby paper box. The burgers are deceiving with several layers of paper bulking it up. You can count on me to never go back there again.

You dont know northern Utah if you havent been to Burger Bar. This place is the best. Best burgers, best fries, best shakes. Ive read some whiney reviews on here and folks you need to understand, this isnt a chain crap food restaurant. They cook everything to order, fresh and that takes a bit of time. Relax, take a breath and socialize with the other patrons, the small wait is worth it and you will see, they are always slammed with customers. Thats a great sign that its a great place. Try something different, I love the double Ben but the Elk Burgers are terrific as well. And dont whine about the price being a little more than McCrap Burger. Fresh made quality food costs a bit more. No I dont work there or own the place but I am a big fan, before they got famous on TV. Keep up the great work folks

I went on Wednesday before my grandsons soccer game. I was so disappointed with the service and the food. It was daughters bf first time there ever. I was bragging about how good they were. Boy did they prove me wrong! !! The order was wrong even though I had to repeat myself to the cashier 4 times (that should of been the sign to go somewhere else) she was rolling her eyes because she apparently doesnt like to put in special orders like no pickle add cheese. The chickey sandwiches had no cheese and extra mayo and the one he got only had half a chicken. When I said I wanted mushrooms and that is what I ordered the one who took the order just rolled her eyes again! With that kind of service not sure if we elk go back. My family has been going there since at least 1978 ish

Ive eaten at the Burger Bar a few times for lunch, the atmosphere is usually very diverse. Its a go to local gem. This restaurant has been featured on tv and in magazines, eat there once and youll experience why. I have never been disappointed. The only thing I dont love is the buns on their burgers, and thats just a personal preference. Its a sweeter chewy bun, rather than your traditional bread like or brioche bun. Every month they feature an "exotic meat of the month" right now swordfish is their specialty. After one bite, it became the best fish sandwich Ive ever tasted. Grilled swordfish, lettuce, tartar, and mustard and their house bun, with a side of tots instead of fries, was perfect and very filling. Great value for the cost. I highly recommend Burger Bar!
